Hi Steve and Shon, We hope you're doing well, and thank you for sharing another informative video. Do you have a rough idea when you might have your next Livestream? We've been preparing for a move to Ecuador for some time. Shon was right, there are many things one likely isn't planning on which need to be done prior to moving, so this slowed us down some. We thought we were ready to put our house on the market about two months ago, however given the electricity situation in Ecuador, we've decided to delay. If in some Sci-Fi movie you could put together the knowledge you have currently (let's call it an ability to know Ecuador would be in a multi-month power problem), and you were planning an international move.... A) Would you pause the move, and still pick Ecuador? B) Move right into the situation and hope for the best? C) Reevaluate your considerations of other countries? D) When you were in VA, and narrowing down your list which countries made your top 5? E) By the way, if you chose "Pause the Move", how long do you think you'd keep it on Pause prior to thinking.... "Well, if our goal was an International move, and we've been waiting on the power situation to improve..... Yes, it's going to eventually rain, however the Long Term Solutions seem "Murky", so when the eventual next draught comes, we might have to endure a repeat of this. Maybe we should move on to choice # 2?" Thanks for letting us know. Steve, if you'd like to record a separate (non-short) video answering these questions, feel free to use my name. If you'd like to film it as a Duo where you share/pose the questions to Shon, and just let your responses/opinions/thoughts rip, I'd say go for it. If you do this, I'd like to offer a "Thanks Tip". To the extent you're comfortable with this, please let me know if there's an amount you feel would be appropriate. Additionally, thanks for publishing this with Spanish subtitles. We're Like # 85 for this video! P.S. If it's better for your channel to receive 5 question in 5 separate comments, please let us know, and we'll do our best to break them up. Hang in there.
I think we will make a video dedicated to this question, or perhaps a livestream. The power situation makes livestreams risky, but I will be sure to let you know soon, thanks so much as always!
A piece of advice, friend, don't sell your house in the US, you could rent it out and have an income, living in Ecuador is not expensive, you could rent a house and it wouldn't cost much. 😊
Nice video! I’m currently in Manta, trying to figure out if I can make it to Cuenca. The layover time in Quito makes flying untenable. Have you all ever taken the bus (I know you were in Salinas)? Also, I keep reading that it’s raining there now, is that true? Any suggestions on where to stay? Thanks for your thoughts.
Hey, so sorry I took so long to respond. You can certainly take the bus, but I'm not sure of the route or best bus line from Manta. We've had storms the last couple of days. We're also not sure of the best places to stay, sorry, we'll probably need to look into that because we get that question a lot lol
If I find cheap fire detector batteries I am gonna carry them around and give them to stores and resturaunts. How can they work all day with that beeping?!?!!

I am grateful to see you two, and your video Steve & Lashon!! Thank you! Great work together!
Thank you so much 🙏🏾
3:43 I absolutely LOVE your hat !!
Great video you guys, out and about. Looks like you both are enjoying living in Cuenca.
Most certainly!
You can buy lettuce (lechuga) seedlings at many stores around. Usually if you see chickens you see lettuce.
Cuenca is looking so good on ya'll! Love seeing the festivities this time of year. By the way, how do you prefer the colada morada - hot or cold?
Thanks a lot! There's so much happening we couldn't get to everything. I had colada morada both ways and I think I prefer the warmed version.
Looks like you guys are adjusting and liking Cuenca such an amazing city.
Absolutely, the city is amazing!
Wow guys, this was a fantastic video and update! The city is beautiful with lots to do! Be blessed ❤️
Thank you for bring us to this wonderful Cuenca Equador, love it.
Our pleasure!
If you were at the Artisanal Market you took the LOOOOOONG way to Super maxi! ;)
Lol, we had to go to that particular Supermaxi since it was so close to DHL
OMG all that roasted pig oozing deliciousness right off the screen!
And it was soooooo good!

Prices are always higher when the menu is in English! That and foreign cuisine!
Yes, you are right
Can you please provide the recipe for the body cream?
I'm afraid that one is a trade secret, lo siento 😁
Guess what !!! Being told you can BUY caste iron pans in Cuenca. :--)
Yep, we've seen some around town
@@LivingLovingAbroad oh goody. Anything else you see...I dont have to pack? (and weight?)
