- Hello in this tutorial I'll be explaing how to set up an Infection map, mmmmm brains, anyways I will go in detail on;
1) what is required to get the map working
2) how to set up spawn point's
3) how to set up safe havens
4) and tricks you can do with them

Thanks this was a huge help 11 years later! Lol for some reason speed halo was broken, I think it was lack of safe haven. I am not sure why it worked for all those years before

@langezek yes the inf_Spawn is only there for you to use if you want it. i have tested this out. the only thing that you need to have is at lest 1 safe haven (even if you dont use it you must have it)

@unrestrainedgamer i cant do a video on how to fix that because i dont know what is going wrong. are you falling and dieing or just getting killed once you spawn? if thats the case then you might have a save or kill zone on your map that is doing that

@TheEggman888 well to add vehicles all you need to do is place it on your map and make sure the Game type says vehicle set map default
@TheInvincible1997 in forge did you tell the game type to be infection or basic editing because it needs to be infections

@TheMainEvent122 its a area that when a human is inside it gives that person whatever the settings are for a time (normally it makes it so the zombie cant kill them)
@segura187 in the infection game type do you have weapons turned off? or map default
@hockeyhockey1414 dose it show only no label or another? if its only no label then you need to edit in the game type infection not basic editing
@rf1308 disable vehicle driving is in the game type options and that only effects the game when your in custom game. cheek out the infection game type tutorial to see were that is

Do building colors not stick in infection game mode? Or am I doing something wrong? I made this infection maps and I made the structures different colors but when I go in game there only at they’re default colors?
@wizard101videos100 it says local to the xbox 360 because when i film i switch to local you can do that at any time by hitting Y when your in the lobby and you can pick what view you wish to have and local hides who is online as well as lets me do things like lower my gun and that kind of thing
@jjimarollingstone i have not found a way as of yet only thing i can thing of is try putting them in a line (on a blank forge map) and see if they are random or not
@toonlinky1 and are you in basic editing or in infection when your in forge?

@1010Billie i dont know of a way to make it go away after a time in infection do you remember the map name and who made it if i took a look at it i might be able to see what he did im interested to find out
How to add objective stuff like block spawns that trigger at a specific time and when a survivor reaches a certain place the infected teleported will spawn

in another tutorial you said we can use a respawn zones to make neutral respawn points for a specific team could you do the same with these infection spawn points so humans spawn in a group together
hey i need help. i was making an infection map and i want soccer balls to spawn inside the map. but in forge i spawn them, but when i shoot the thing holding them up they fall and stay were they landed. do you know how to make them dissappear and spawn back to were i want them to be?

In order to label spawns and safe havens, you have to have that game type set up in forge. Can’t just be basic editing
Question, i made my map, but when i tryed it in custum games apeared a warning saying this variant of map isnt compatible with the variant of the game
Hey mr your willy iv made lots of maps and i try them out in custom games but the guns i put in it are not there.
did you save the map? because as long as there is a spawn point and nothing blocking it you will spawn on that point
me and a friend has been trying to get a zombie map to work (Halo:MCC reach) but the the spawn points dont save and despawn after we save the map and run it. any help?
Hey, what are safe havens and what is the difference between having the game set in regular infection mode and infection - safe haven mode?
@MrYourWilly how do you put vehicles and weapons into a infection map, i put vehicles in and they dont show as well as weapons
when said the vehicle can become a safe haven can you see it or is it invisible
I have a Question: when i go into custom games to play my infectionmap it says; This map variant is not compatible this game variant. it wont let me play infection on the map and i built it as one. How do i fix it?

i want to put other guns in my infection maps like dmrs assult rifles rocket launchers how do i do that and allowed them pick it up because everytime you see the guns but cant pick it up

@HeadbangingForGeeZus been busy if you still dont know by now (hope you found out) but you need to change the game type in forge from basic editing to infection

I got a question for ya Willy...When I play Alpha Zombies with teams enabled the zombies die crAAZY fast when they spawn. It happens on every map. The team colors are opposite in the lobby. Blue is human and red is zombie. I dont know why they would switch colors.

@ducttapelovah that's because you need to change the game type from basic editing to infection
What about guns, do we just put game specific and we're good?
So, with the INF_Spawn it dosent matter if its game specific? people will spawn correctly?
Whenever I try to use the safe havens, EXACTLY how everyone puts them, you know, inf_haven and all that, they don't appear often. Like, sometimes they will spawn, sometimes not. This is really frustrating and i am wondering if you have any advise?

How can I make a map that I have created compatible with an Infection gametype that I created?
Ok, well I was playing a infection game and they had doors that could disappear, do you know how that did that?

You need to make sure that when you start the game in forge, it has to be in forge as infection on the game options. Then make sure you have at least 4 inital and 4 respawn points for each team.(4 red, 4 blue.) You will also need to have a safe haven in your map (Although you don't need to use it). Hope this helps.

I don't know what happened. I made a map, put in the respawn and initial spawns in. Set them to Game specific true and Inf. Spawn put red and blue teams on them, etc... But it STILL says "The game virant is not compatible with the game type".
What did I do wrong?

Yesi did, when me and another pearson play one of us respawns inside the map andtheother outside the map and when i put Game specific true in Infection game type I save it and when i check on it its gone and when i put basic editing its there
how can I make an Alpha Zombie? I've been trying to figure this out but I just can't seem to make it so there's one awesome zombie and a bunch of little ones. also, I want weapon pickups for all survivors and can't figure out the way to do that

This is help full. Q: when I make an infection map and place down weapons and test it out in custome game I can't pick up the weapons. Did I miss something? Do you knew how to fix it? I need help?
