A few months back, I saw your tutorial on making Invasion maps because my clan leader was trying to make a group-work exercise to learn how to work as a team, and thanks to your tutorial, I lived up to asking of an invasion map. This tutorial just helped me finish my Bridge Wars map with the Neutral Flag segment. I look forward to more tutorials on forging from you if you still make them :)
i made maps in Halo 3 but the forge then was so hard to use that i never made anything good but a friend of mine razwarda use to make a lot of halo 3 maps so i helped him on those (his GT on halo 3 is MyWilly thats why my name is YourWilly its a funny joke that stuck i guess) i started really getting into forge in halo reach as it was much easier to use. i also took 3 years of college for 3D game art so i use what i learned in class to make fun maps that played well.
@cursemarked555 actually if you want it to be set up to look even better u use a plate and have a flag stand in the meddle that way it looks like the flag is being help but the plate shows the area better. i just decided to leave that out for simplicity sake but ether way works as far as halo reach is concerned ^,..,^
@USACrossTH3JOK3R i was not planing on it seeing as all you need to make a map work for juggernaut is to make it work for slayer so if you watch my slayer tutorial thats really all you need for jugernaut
On a side note, u were saying about not being able to use jetpacks with the flag. I think u can use abilities if u use the bungie gametype 'Speed Flag' so if anyone wants 2 do tht look for the gametype. I dont think the default ctf allows this in the options
yeah its at one location now not 2 like in halo 3 and because they both use the same label you cant change that. and about your speed flag comment you might be right i dont know i have not played it but at the time of the making of this video speed flag was not even out as far as i know that came out after they started doing the insane game types ^,..,^ but it would be interesting to see if you can use abilities in that game type i do know you cant in normal cft and you cant change it
@TheWARCREATER yes you can if you want just use the same label and you set it up just like you do in the video but if your talking about making the game as in game type i have a tutorial on that
i designed a map that has areas for three teams to play a ctf game, and i want to know a few things. if i only have 2 teams playing, will the flags of only those 2 teams be in play? and is it possible to play one flag with the same set up as standard ctf (how u initially showed in this video with one capture/flag plate for each team), but with 3 teams? as in the red team defends against the blue and green teams, while blue and green compete against each other to steal the red team's flag

@cursemarked555 its ok most people when they set it up just use the flag stands i think bungie dose a plate with a flag stand in the middle tho id have to look to make sure i do it were i have both the flag stand and the plate i just like that look lol
I made a map on Reach for both CTF and Griffball. I am trying to make a new game type for CTF that replicates old school gym class CTF with Energy Swords and Grav Hammers thanks for the tip on how to get it to work, but I can not get Griffball to work. Any ideas?

Help, I'm doing the exact same thing except with flag stands and the flag keeps spawning right next to the blue cap area. The map is a slayer map with tons of other gametypes but the one I'm trying to set now is for neutral flag.

For some reason on the Game Type Label it won't change. It just keep saying "no Label." Do I have to got to the CTF Forge Game Type then go from there....or am I doing something wrong here....

It may be a little bit late but you might have put a kill boundary or a safe Zone boundary somewhere on the map. And your actual play area is outside of it or inside of it or something like that. If it's a hard kill boundary it'll kill you instantly. Same thing of it the safe Zone
+Peter Souvall When you go into forge, make sure the gametype is not "basic editing" but the CTF gametype you want to edit. This will make forge edit within the gametype you want to create - 9 months late i know, but just wanna help!
@MrYourWilly is there any way to set the flag spawn in a different place than the capture plate, so that the person capturing it has to take it somewhere other than their own flag point to capture?

you need to be in the game type when your forging for the labels to show up
Wait, does it really matter what objective it is as longs as its set to "CTF_FLAG_RETURN"? Cause IMO I think a capture plate looks bad for a flag. :/
