- Welcome to the last lunch video of the school year! I'll share what our kids are taking in their lunch, and what they ate whey they come home!
Hello and welcome! My name is Lindsay and I am a wife and stay at home mom of four living in Eastern Canada. Awww I’m going to miss Emily emptying the lunches. Maybe you can do a park day, take a picnic where each kid gets their lunch in the lunch pail and Emily can empty them every so often. I hope you guys are having an amazing summer. Can’t wait to see what adventures you go on this year.

Emily growling at the beginning of the video made me think of my nephew (now 16) when he was that age. There was one time we were in a bathroom in a store and he was making these crazy sounds, and I asked him what he was doing and he said "That's my dragon voice." I asked him to please use a quieter dragon voice :) Hope you all are having a great summer. And Happy Canada Day!

Space tomato??? Please tell Jacob I think that is so cool and if you remember please show us if any tomatoes grow. Yahoo no more school-now the long lazy days stretch before us. Filled with sunshine and late mornings and popsicles. I hope you all enjoy them! When my two were little I would invent a theme for each summer and that would help steer our days. We had 'The Summer of Adventure' where we did new things and went on 'adventures' (could be a walk in a forest) another year we had 'Summer of Awesome' where I filled it with awesome things to do-like sprinklers and cottage trip, beach trips, etc. Anyway, the kids totally don't remember ANY of that but I still have the posters I made so if I ever find them I will remind them what an outstanding mom I was-hahaha
Hey, Lily! I will try to make a note to remember to show you the tomato plant!! Jacob is taking such great care of it. I guess they had seeds that were in the international space station, and ones that weren't, and they planted both. A themed summer sounds so fun! Your kids are/were lucky to have such a creative and fun mom! Hoping to make some great memories this summer! Have a great week! I will continue to try and post regularly over the summer! ❤️😊

Hi Lindsay 👋 😊Happy Canada 🇨🇦 Day. I bought some of those garlic naans. Haven't yet tried them. End of school is always bitter sweet for the kids. Great lunches as always until September 😊. It's been rainy on/off here but Canada Day is nice and sunny 🌞 at least. Wishing everyone a great Summer vacation 😊
Happy Canada Day, Dyann. It was chilly and cloudy here today and yesterday. The kids are happy to be on break. Audrey was so sad to leave her teacher though. Hoping to make lots of fun memories over summer!! Have a great week! 😊

Woo Who, Summer Break is finally here, I bet the kids are excited to have the days back for playing and enjoying the pool. Just an observation, but it sure looks like Ben's appetite has improved greatly, he really tries to eat the things he doesn't care for and he is eating pretty much everything that you sent in his lunchbox, yay Ben. Jacob is your best eater and little Audrey's appetite seems to have cut back a bit, maybe too much social time at the lunch table, LOL. Emily will be sad to have no lunchboxes to empty, but I'm sure she'll forget all about them as the summer play time moves on. Thanks for sharing your lunch videos with us, I really enjoy them and watching the kids and Emily show the empties. I hope you are having fun with the kids so far. We are off on vacation in a few days, but I'll catch up with videos when we get back.
Hey Tania, the kids are happy to be on break, and I'm happy to have them home. Ben has been doing excellent with his lunches, Jacob always has, and yes, Audrey is the little social butterfly of the group... she talks more than she eats! Lol I hope you have an amazing trip! Try soaking your apples in a teaspoon of Regular table salt in cold water and soak your apples for 5 mins then rinse them. They will stay nice for days in fridge with out going brown. 😊
You don’t even need to do a full teaspoon of salt. I do like an 1/8th of a teaspoon. And then I rinse it off really well so it’s not salty tasting.
That is a great idea!! Emily wastes a lot of apples, she takes a few bites and that's it. I'm going to try this trick!! Have a great week!
Maybe put a container into one of the lunch bags with a small snack so she can open it up after nap time

Emily is cute, but to be honest, I prefer to see Ben and Jacob emptying their lunches. 😇
I sometimes prefer for them to empty them as well! I think they like when Emily empties them because then they don't have to do it! Haha I will keep that in mind though. Have a great week! 😊
