I'm home from our trip cross country, we put over 4000 miles on the truck, from California to Arizona, then on to New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and into Arkansas, which is where my mother in-law lives, she was very surprised when we stepped in to her party to deliver her flowers, there were lots of tears as she had not seen us for 6 years. While there we took a trip in to Memphis, Tennessee. It was lots of driving, and very long days, but definitely worth it, but we are glad to be finally home. I have a little catching up to do on You Tube. I loved the teachers gifts you got for the kids to give to their teachers, I'm sure they appreciated them. I really loved that you made up goodie bags for the kids for grading day, how fun for them to each have their own and you included Emily, which was so neat, and my gosh they seemed so happy to have them. Your dinner looked really good, I can't wait to get back in my kitchen and start cooking again, eating out is fun, but it gets old really fast. Hi Tania, I'm so glad you had a great trip! But I bet it's nice to be home again! Eating out gets old after a while, you'll appreciate a nice home cooked meal!! I can picture how surprised your mother in law was!!! 6 years is a long time; such a nice surprise! The kids are having a great summer so far. It's been hotter than usual here most of the summer, we've had a few 'heat warnings' already.

Oh those cookies for the teachers are so cute! And the treat bag is a perfect thing for a rainy Sunday as the kids snuggle up in blankets and watch movies in the basement-they were so cute and grateful for the treats-so sweet! When I shop I try to load everything up before they start ringing it in-I know this may be close to impossible so I usually hold back my 50% off items and any other sale item until the end so I can make sure I get the price advertised. Then I load up, tuck myself in a corner and go through my bill-it happens too often so I feel this is warranted. Anyway, sorry it happened to you-that sucks. That playground was awesome-loved that colourful play structure-looks so cool. Loved this video-it had a little of everything-thanks for sharing

Those teachers gifts are adorable! The smiles you got when you handed out during the movie were priceless! Elephants are my favorite animal so I’ve seen The Magician’s Elephant twice. I loved it too! Have a great week. This video was great!!

Ah those treat bags are adorable. Great haul. And yes its so annoying when all the produce/products that are in sale aren't registered when you check out. Groceries are still sky high here in the 🇳🇱. Have a wonderful rest of the week. Greetz from the 🇳🇱🇳🇱🇳🇱

I don't comment often but we also watched magicians elephant the other day! I loved it..definitely in tears at the end. My 10 year old son wasn't a fan though.."no battles" 🙄😂

I'm in Ontario and find Zehrs, No Frills etc. Loblaw's grocery stores are awful for prices ringing up incorrectly. Especially on Thursday's when the sales change. All Loblaw's affiliates are part of Scanning Code of Practice in Canada as are the majority of stores. It's a Federal thing not Provincial. Wal-mart, Metro etc. If an item rings up incorrectly as the price marked you get it for free or to a max of $10.00 off. Even if the items was on sale last week and they haven't changed the price on the shelf yet it still qualifies as that is the marked price. I always watch the check out or self-check out closely and double check my receipts once I leave the store. I'm always going back in to customer service and get my item's for free. It may take a bit more time but it's better in my pocket than in the over priced grocery stores especially Loblaw's.

We just passed a law about the hidden fees at grocery stores. They can no longer have you pay a different price than what is shown. Same with other stores and restaurants. I believe it applies to travel as well. I hope the kids had an amazing last day of school and summer break is going well. It’s too hot to do much here. 109 F for almost the past 2 weeks. It won’t end until Sunday when it may go down to 105F. Better break out the winter coats 🤣🤣🤣🤣 joe your summer is cooler than ours.
Hi Meredith, it happens too often here at superstore, I sometimes feel like it's a tactic with them! The kids are having a great summer so far, it was very hot here today, but not as hot as what you're experiencing! There is a heat warning for today and tomorrow. Hard to do anything in that heat!! 🥵

Hi Lindsay 👋 😊 Supper looked yummy. Nice teacher gifts. Love the treat bag idea for the movie. We got a paper copy of the report cards. I find it's a lot better. I don't like the email copy idea. Nice haul. Yes the price switch happens here and it's annoying. I look at my receipt before I leave and if need be Ill go to Customer Service. We pay enough for groceries, it's so upsetting.

Thanks, Dyann. The emailed report cards started during covid, and they kept it! There was always something special about coming home with your report card on grading day! I'm going to have to start checking my receipts before I leave the store too, it happens too often! Food is expensive enough! We are back in a heat wave for a couple of days, it felt like 37 here today. Very muggy! I hate the humidity! Have a great week! 😊
@mominthemaritimes yes it's the same here during Covid with the emailed report cards but now the ones that want a hardcopy can revert back to it, so I did. I much prefer it. 😊 It's muggy here and I really hate the humidity. Seems to drag me down. Not in my 20s and 30s anymore lol can't handle it as much.
@@canadiankabingurl9782 I would love the hard copy too! I find the humidity takes the good out of me! It felt like 38° here today. Rain and thunder tomorrow, I love a good thunder storm!
I LOOOOVE Oh Henry bars!!! You guys seem to have way better chocolate bars than we do! I looked into ordering some of those Bear Paws off of Amazon but they were so expensive!😮. Great vlog Lindsay. I love Emily’s waves in her hair.
Hey! I love oh Henry bars too, they're my favourite! The Reese's ones are so good too!! I wish I could send you some Canadian goodies!! You guys have some candy/treats that we can't get here as well. I love Emilys waves as well, I hope they last! We're in a heat wave here this week, it's so hot!

It’s been 100+ for weeks now and our temps are finally ebbing a little, so I feel your pain. Now only in the 90s. Lol. You enjoy your week and your summer. It’ll be gone b4 we know it. My kiddo goes bk to school on the 10th of Aug.
@@lifeasthesmjs695 our kids don't go back until September, but they go to school right to the end of June as well. I'm not sure if Emily's curls will last or not, I'd love if they did, they suit her personality!! But our other kids have pin strait hair so I won't hold my breath! Lol maybe we could do a goodies swap? That might be fun... If we're both willing to pay the shipping..lol
Shipping here is expensive!
Those are some high temperatures, it was around 100°F here today and yesterday, but it's not normally that hot. Our house is so warm!

@@mominthemaritimes EVERYTHING is expensive! It’s nuts. I saw in one vlog that you don’t have central air. We don’t either. Just window units as our AC broke like 6 months after we moved into our NEW house!😡 I don’t like it too cold anyways so I prefer the units and everyone can have their own temp to their liking. Ofc I would pay shipping so lmk. Stay safe and enjoy your week 🙂
Great video. I’m from USA and I love Canadas snacks and sweets more than American ones. I always order coffee crisps on Amazon because they don’t carry those in America so yummy 😋 ❤
But on Amazon it’s $19.99 USD expensive but it’s worth it ❤

The teacher gifts are awesome 😍. I agree….the Superstore where I live is terrible for having the wrong prices too….I just thought it was the store I shop at her in BC 😂 I use the scanners all the time to check the prices….it’s very annoying & time consuming tho….so ridiculous 😳

All but a few prices are still shockingly high to me but again comparing it to wages and economy US to Canada probably makes for the difference. You've always been higher on goods.
As far as the Superstore overcharging (not even sure what Superstore is, I would have thought it was Walmart but apparently not), that would be aggravating. I guess you should stand in line and hold it up while you check your receipt if they can't get it right.
Self check outs are going the other way due to losses and problems and I'm glad they are. Not sure Walmart has been smart enough to get on that train. At least here it is starting to.

I am as you can tell probably also curious as to prices and products and differences.
I grew up on potatoes every night, whether boiled, or left over boiled then fried or what we called raw fries, of course I'm older, and now yes, I'll par boil potatoes and keep them in the frig to fry up easily any night or morning either with eggs in the morn or with a fried sliced sausage or pork chops at night. I make such for the week or even two. They last nicely and a few minutes in the frying pan crisping up and one is good to go.
Anyhow, just been watching a few more lately, this kind of thing is my second interest on YT and nothing much was on over our 4th holiday on the first interest. And so I've watched a fair few of yours over the past days. I could not find much on my usual channels or had already watched them.

It's interesting to compare prices in different countries. The price of food is still going up here.

WHY do they do this depending on where we live. I have NEVER seen a Reese's Oh Henry bar. It's like different flavors of Doritos depending on where one goes. But honestly I don't see Oh Henrys here AT ALL. Some stores have things others don't but Oh Henry I haven't seen at all in years.
I dare say though I have some things and flavors that you won't find.
I just can't believe we don't have all things Reese's. We have many. And Reese's paired with Oh Henry bars sounds awesome.
It must be due to regional and brands even and markets.

The only place I have ever seen those Reese's oh Henry bars is Dollarama!! And they are soo good!!! I'm not sure why they aren't in more stores!!!
