    I am going to try this, I have to work it by hand, I don't have a food processor. What vegan butter did you use? Miyoko's is my fav because it's cultured and has a great flavor, but I'm wondering if it has a higher water content. Pie crust is my arch nemesis! P.S. I weigh everything and try to be very careful about overworking the dough.

      Definitely check out my in-depth video about the professional secrets to a perfect pie crust!!
      But also, you could definitely do it by hand just cut the butter in with a box grater and you will have no problem at all!!
      I have not used the Miyoko’s brand, but I think it would work out fine in a pie crust!

      HI Haneen! Since last December my non vegan blog has shut down.I couldn't keep up the cost to host it on the internet and maintain it monthly anymore
      The cost to host such a huge database online was close to $400 a month with tech support monthly to keep it clean & safe and smooth.
      I certainly do not (did not) make that much in adsense revenue through TH-cam & Google.
      That became a pretty steep price to pay for a website that had been conflicting me financially & emotionally for so many years,
      so after 5 years of keeping it free & open to the public I finally decided to shut it down.
      I did not keep any of the recipes for myself when I shut down the database
      (which was the only place the recipes were stored)
      I just did (do) not feel comfortable anymore sharing recipes laden with animal ingredients promoting the very industry I loathe so it really didn't make sense for me to keep them nor keep open and available such an expensive website.
      I do thank you so much for your support and encouragement through the ages,
      I have stunned NON Vegans with my vegan recipes, perhaps you could try to do the same?
      If not, I am sure there are tons of great (if not better than mine) recipes out there for you to use!
      Thanks again~ Best, Gretchen

    So now after watching you create this perfect recipe, why would anyone anywhere ever want to make another animal ingredient pumpkin pie? The crust alone can be used all year. But for now it's fall and your vegan pumpkin pie rules!

    I'd like to try this recipe, but put the pie filling in tratelettes crust. How would this affect the cooking time? Empty, I usually cook them 11 minutes. Thanks! :)

    • @GretchensVeganBakery
      @GretchensVeganBakery  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I am not sure what you are asking, I can't quite understand your question! thanks!

    • @melaniedemers528
      @melaniedemers528 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GretchensVeganBakery instead of putting the pie filling in a regular pie crust, I would like to put it in mini one (2 inches wide). Do you think it will affect the cooking time? The amount of filling in each crust would be maybe a 1/4 cup.
