I have the purple pro, love it so far. Wouldn’t have upgraded from my blue 12 pro (best color imo) but I smashed the front and back a couple months ago. It feels like a sizable upgrade getting the 120hz, always on display, the island, and the cameras.

I just upgraded from the iPhone 6S to the iPhone 14 pro max. I have to say I am very impressed with everything. I don’t know much about SIM cards, but when I got the new phone and transferred all my data, it asked me if I wanted to use my phone number from the 6S and I clicked yes. Then just like that it hooked up the E Sim and transferred my number and deactivated my old SIM card. For reference I have T-Mobile
E SIM has been around for a while on the iPad, I’ve used it before and it’s easy. Even going overseas, I was able to buy data directly from the iPad without going to a store for a SIM card.
That’s a big upgrade, I preordered the 14 Pro Max and I have the XS Max.
And you my friend, coming from that, will be the happiest iphone 14 pro owner ever. 😜

I got the silver iPhone 14 pro regular size and I’m absolutely loving the dynamic island, apples best feature in awhile. That always on display is what really made me upgrade again this year though, so glad we finally have it

I got Space Black/Grey, I love the white iPhone but silver, is my least favourite thing ever, I hate chrome too, just far too reflective for me, maybe because I'm prone to head aches!
I also never go caseless, always use the Apple Black Leather case so prefer the camera bump to match that personally. If I ever got the white which I have considered I'd have to go the silicon route which I do like also however they didnt realise one this year!
I actually got the Gold iPhone 14 Pro Max this year. My last gold was iPhone 7 Plus lol and since then I been using all dark iPhones. It’s actually lovely
Hadn’t had the gold since the 6! I had the gold 5S but the 6 was more just a yellow and hadn’t gotten gold since. So far, this is a nice shade.
The silver 14 Pro really looks extremely good this year because it's finally a real "white". Last year on the 13 Pro it was a lot warmer which just didn't looked that good. That's at least one reason why I went with the blue 13 Pro instead.
Besides that I really hope Apple updates stuff like the FaceID pop-up on older iPhones too. Not like expanding the notch or whatever but just make this huge ugly pop-up look better... having this old design almost-square with the FaceID icon and "Face ID" text underneath looks so bad. Would be great if they bring this new design to older iPhones so you just have the small FaceID icon at the top or whatever whenever it's used.

Am now encourage to get the Silver I already have gold from last year but am torn I want the 15 because my phone is too new, but then worried of a possible redesign which I think its completely pointless the current design is perfect 💯 the only plus would be if they shrink the pill 💊 just a Tiny bit and keep the animation on it that would be a major plus as I don’t see them going full screen yet the technology is just no there yet and Face ID is just too good.
If you want the perks of the new phone just buy the new phone like the rest of us have.

I’m a T-Mobile employee, today by far was one of the most stressful days I’ve ever had at work. I’ve already seen so many problems with the iPhone 14’s not activating right, I had to call into our support and spent over an hour trying to get the EID number to activate successfully. As of right now esim needs more carrier support, its really hard to do sim swaps with esim only
I just got my new iPhone and had no problems activating my esim. When transferring the data if asked me if I wanted to transfer the number too and I clicked yes and it activated the esim and deactivated the physical sim in my old phone. I use T-Mobile as a carrier
Good thing I have Verizon. Asked if I wanted to switch my number over to my eSim during setup and voila! Perfect transfer.
I wonder if it would be possible to switch back from eSIM to physical SIM….
@@cylehendricks8892 yes, that’s great but some of the Esims weren’t activating correctly it was a pain for us but it’s definitely gotten better just in the few days it’s been out

Drew, the 2x is using only the center 12MP part of the sensor, but not reading out the rest of the sensor for power reason. The only time it will read out the entire 48mp is when you go apple pro raw(and you have to specify 48MP in camera settings)

I actually like the huge looking camera system on the back of the 6,1 iPhone pro. It looks very powerful and high quality that way for me, I even prefer it against the more proportional look of the Pro Max iPhone
Same I have always loved the triple camera setup ever since the iPhone 11 pro’s I think it’s a really cool part of the design.
Yeah I love every year when they make the cameras larger. I think it looks really cool when the camera takes up a quarter of the back of the phone, really makes them feel like a “Pro Camera System”

Only thing 256gb enables is 4K ProRes, everything else is on 128gb

I just got an update on the delivery of my iPhone to September 20th! Which is great news. Originally they reported it wouldn't arrive till the 27th.
I have a watch that requires my phone to be available so I can't use my watch yet 🤪.
I'm really excited because this is the first time I'll actually be an iPhone owner. I'm more of a android fanboy but I'm wanting to experience the Apple difference. Incidentally I also chose the silver Pro Max with 512.
As much as I like the silver one, it gets scratched a lot! They should add some protective coating on it.

@@AS-bq7sc When I had the iPhone X in Silver the sides got scratched by just putting on and taking off cases.I was able to polish them out though before I sold it after a year.I haven’t gone with Silver since because of that even though I like the colour.I have gone with Deep Purple this year after Graphite or Space Grey for the last three.I am really pleased with the Purple now I have it in person.

Not the same with preorders now, used to be cool with lines and people waiting days to get their iPhone first, I upgraded from 12 pro but took me few days to decide have to wait another week for my black iPhone 14 pro, be surprised if you don’t keep the new phone

It’s interesting that the iPhones from the 11 to the 13 pro showed the back meaning that apple cared more about the cameras but the x 6 and 14 showed the front of the phone meaning apple cared more about the screen that generation
Well yeah that’s not strange that’s typical apple marketing. The front is where lots of the changes are this year

Had my iPhone 14 Pro Max in Space Black 26 hours later with no regrets upgrading from the iPhone 13 Pro Max is Graphite. Dynamic Island, camera, AOD, and other iOS 16 changes makes it well worth it.

Same. Every damn review so far has SAID that it covers more of the screen, goes deeper etc. but not a single one has shown how deep it cuts into 2:1 video. Only complete fullscreen which is kinda useless to see.

I’m curious how reachability looks like with dynamic island active.
When iOS 16.1 comes out in a month or less they will have that feature. So when you bring the screen down an all digital island comes down for you to interact with it

courier brought it to me at 10am. if you have something above the iPhone 11 PRO it doesn't make sense to change.
Really debating on if I should sell my 13 Pro and get the most money out of it now to put towards the 14 Pro, but the 13 Pro is also working just fine. The only shame is that I'd miss out on the purple color.

I’ve got the purple pro max and I’m sick of the colour already so I swapped my clear case for a nice jet black. The colour novelty wore off just as quickly as the dynamic island and always on display.
It’d make such a difference too if apple didn’t do major design updates on all recent models and just done it for the brand new ones.

It’d be nice if they could round the edges of the phone more. It can still have the flat sides. But just make it less sharp so it doesn’t cut into the hand as much.
While they are at it, symmetrical holes at bottom would be nice. And ease up on that camera bump for the folks that go case-less.

Yesterday I went to a Apple store and I finally saw the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, but I felt like, the larger cameras, logo, and thicker body almost make the 14 pro look like a mini model. The screen is actually a hair bigger, but the other proportions create the illusion that it's a smaller phone. Do you guys felt like that?
I don’t like the notch, but at least it’s not visible when you screen share.
