I'd wondered if the rivalry between Bret and Shawn was a matter of life imitating art gone awry because what was happening just seemed too real. Having met both of them personally, Bret was definitely more personable than Shawn. From what I've been told from other wrestlers, Bret wasn't out to ruin others' careers to better his own like Shawn did--he wasn't a back stabber and if he had an issue with you, he'd address the problem with you personally. Bret was indeed a professional in every way. Thanks for your upload.

Now that I see that Iron Man Match it should have been the styles make fights type of match. The problem is Shawn decided to be too technical in length making the pace too deliberate with Bret. Like the King said he said Bret was thinking that Shawn would be wrestling like a “Mexican jumping bean.” That match didn’t improve until about the middle to sudden death.
Haa! After watching every episode of Reliving The War it's kinda weird to see Hogan in red and yellow at WCW in the beginning of this video. Also The Hitman is and always will be one of my favorite wrestlers. 😄👍
It's actually a great finish whatever you thought about the rest of the match. If you remained a Bret Hart fan then he legit had a point when he said he had the sharpshooter locked in and the bell rang so he let it go.
The thing that bothers me about The Iron Man match watching it now in hindsight is the way Shawn wrestled that match. Shawn did not wrestle his usual style but instead a more technical based style to match The Hitman. I much preferred the way Shawn performed at Mania 11 and I feel he went overboard with the technical mat wrestling in The Iron Match. There could of been a healthy middle ground.

After watching this back now it looks like the screwjob was much sooner in the making. I wasn't sure why I kept seeing confusing promos and I thought Brett just knew the future. But what if that 60 min match rule that was used to get the belt off him. The same one he seemed confused by also. Where he somehow lost when he thought he won. Then he leaves and comes back and Vince thought he would be a better asset. But when the financial crunch came from loosing the war he was seen as more of a burden. But by this point Brett has the belt again. And obviously he isn't going to let a stipulation screw him again. Brett isn't going to give it up after the last time and having his pay and contract shredded.
WWE still had a lot of TALENT back then. Why not use PIPER -- PERFECT -- LAWLER AND WARRIOR WHO WAS BEING BROUGHT BACK. THEY ALSO HAD VADER -- WWE WAS MIS USING TALENT BACK THEN. HOW BOUT PIPER VS HBK OR HHH. BRET N VADER SHOULD OF HAD A FUED. LAWLER SHOULD OF BEEN USED AS AN IN RING PERFORMER. HE IS 1 OF THE BEST EVER & TO SIMPLY USE HIM AS COLOR COMMENTARY IS A SHAME. HE COULD OF BEEN USED TO GET YOUNGER TALENT OVER.
i didn't watch any WWF during this time, i watched nothing but wcw until Stone Cold Steve Austin stunned Mcmahon. then never turned back. i regret n ot seeing this, didn't like either one of these. was Hogan or nothing.
