Volkswagen Vento Review after 70,000 KM | Market Value | Expensive Repair

Volkswagen Vento Variants & Prices: Volkswagen offers the Vento in four variants: Trendline, Comfortline, Highline and Highline Plus. Trendline is the base variant and is priced at Rs 8.38 lakh for the petrol version and Rs 9.70 for the diesel. The top-of-the-line Highline Plus variant is priced at 12.68 lakh and Rs 14.02 lakh for petrol and diesel versions respectively.
Volkswagen Vento Engine: Mechanically, the Volkswagen Vento is available with three engine options: a 105PS 1.2L TSI petrol, a 105PS 1.6L MPI petrol and a 110PS 1.5L TDI diesel. While the 1.2L TSI and the 1.6L MPI engines come mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox and a 5-speed manual gearbox respectively, the 1.5L TDI is available with both the transmission options. The Volkswagen Vento is among the most powerful cars in its segment.
The 1.2L TSI returns a claimed fuel economy of 18.19kmpl, while the 1.6L MPI manages 16.09kmpl. The 1.5L diesel engine is the most frugal of the three as its fuel economy figures stand at 22.27kmpl and 22.15kmpl with the 7-speed DSG and the 5-speed manual transmission respectively.
Volkswagen Vento Features: Featurewise, the Vento is equipped with all the features you’d expect to see in a C-segment sedan. It gets full LED headlamps with DRLs, rain-sensing wipers, cruise control, automatic climate control, touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and rear parking camera with sensors, among others.
For safety, the Vento comes with dual front airbags and ABS as standard across the range. Additionally, it also gets electronic stability programme and hill hold control; however, they are exclusive to the DSG-equipped variants.

3 Drawbacks Explaination
1. Roof height- Driver seat is height adjustable.
2. Resale value- Resale value depends on jhund. jhund kisike piche bhagati hai? Maruti ke to maruti ki resale value zyada rahegi.
3. Servicing only in showroom- Our most of the mechanics are trained by watching others working on 1.2L multijet diesel engine. They don't know about other engines. Those mechanics who learned by proper mechanical, technical knowledge can work on any engine in the world.
Vento is the best sedan in its segment. Disvalued by Maruti sheeps. but good for second hand buyers. They can buy a good car for affordable price.

I drove 340 km on Highway from Ajmer to bhiwadi Vento 2011 petrol , avg speed of journey 57 km/hr , 6 tolls and 2 traffic jams, most of driving was between 80-90 km/hr night time, AC was set for 24 with 2nd speed fan , av mileage recieved 21.6 km/lit when I parked my car . Any doubts on this I have proof for my journey with pictures . I simply love Vento . Also recently training school car bumped into rear. As usual nothing surprising my car is in full intact condition. VW/Skoda are lovely cars.

I heard a case in which a vento toppled over at around 160kmph on yamuna expressway. The engine was dismounted from the vehicle was lying 100m away. And still the owner walked out safely without a scratch.
I myself am a proud owner of a vento and am really happy with its performance and safety. And as far as maintenance is concerned, you have to pay price to buy and maintain a quality product. My best buying decision.

My 2015 vento has run about 47k km’s and still going strong. Absouloutely love this car and will be replacing it only with a german car when time comes. Only drawback is service cost which touches around 19-20k every year and i also own a 2017 creta run about 30k km’s. Creta’s service costs around 5k

I have a 2015 VENTO, no doubt the service from auth service stn is expensive,but it is worth it , after having done 48 k on my car I still feel as if I am driving a brand new car ,just no regrets in buying the VENTO car.

I own a 2015 Vento TSI DSG . Amazing vehicle, great power and handling. Mileage 12-13 in city and 16 on highway.
Here in Coimbatore the service is excellent. Very cheap service charge. About Rs 9000 for every 15000 km or once a year.
Small negatives, outside smell enters cabin even in recirculation mode, but dessipates quickly, slight creaking sounds when taking a slow turn up a ramp .

Bought a Vento recently for my brother, we had to take it to Pithoragarh (Uttarakhand) in October 2021, extremely heavy rains and landslides, car performed flawlessly, the boot was full of water because of the water crossings that were upto the mid-door levels of car, had to release the drain plugs. Also this car is love ❤, handling, build quality and confidence it inspires at all speeds ( even over the speeds of 170kmph) is very good, the only car that handles slightly better under 25L is the Fiat Linea/Punto. Never selling this car.

I am having 2011 model and done 93000 kilometres, and still rock solid. And I am getting mileage of 18 at 120 speed and 23 at 80 km speed on high ways, and city mileage is depending on the traffic which is in between 8 to 14 in Bangalore. But service cost will be around 25 thousand per year for diesel car. But after using this car even for 6 months definitely u won't like other cars like maruti, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Renault, Hyundai. Only Ford and fiat can come close.

But if is less than 5 , you are lucky.
It is a very good car, and much better than buying a new swift or i20.
I’m Vento 2nd owner user , 1.15 lakh km , heavy repair cost , but not always needed . N insurance cost is also high . If u can’t bear 25 k average annual maintainance cost , don’t buy it. I can afford so have bought it. All info given here in video is good.my Vento (diesel)gives 18 to 20 kmpl . I feel I’m very happy with power n pick up . In any situation in driving u will never feel stuck , u can pick ur drive like anything .

All top level brands are same after 70k..BMW, Benz, Jaguar etc.. Same as home decorations experience/exclusive show need high maintenance but only pleasure is it make you special and it give it's reach feeling not like ordinary car

My brother has VW POLO
Even after 1 lac kms in 4 years. It still feels like new inside out.
But repair from service center is really expensive. One sensor had to replace which was costing ₹15-1600 mrp for that sensor alone. But total expense after including labour cost was ₹6100
We have been driving Maruti all the time. Now I am considering VW Vento to buy. Repair would be very costly but I think I can live with that.

Polo’s rear window space is very less, while getting in and out my head banged into window frame while i have height of 5’9” only.

if space is your issue and worried abt high cost repairs get the ford aspire low on repair cosf better space than polo and engine is mind blowing it pulls like a beast and beats polo gt tdi in a race
Skoda VW superb cars , I purchased both brands used car on least price no problem at all they perform well behave on roads, Fiat Linea also perform well outstanding cars ..

If you are a tall person with heavy body type then buy Jetta otherwise buy VENTO it will meet your requirements.This was the advice given to me when I was contemplating buying a Jetta , I am 5’7” with medium built ,hence went in for VENTO in 2015 believe me just no regrets ,recently did Mhow to Bathinda and back trip with my wife and two dogs car was fully loaded with luggage yet did 185 km/h speed on the Haryana superhighway the drive was amazing just no vibration at that speed ,nor was any kind of sound from the body of the car it was a thrilling drive .but my advice don’t drive at that speed for our own safety .this one car that one should retain as long the rules permit ie extension of registration ie 15 plus 5 years ,even today I feel as if I am driving a new car .

After buy . Did some engine and suspension work. Now performance best . I drive nonstop 1050;km . Only few break for tea and lunch.
