It's runs like these that cement my belief this game needs a system like Vampire Survivors where you can get rid of perks you don't wanna see during a run
You got me beat - I had almost on the point 16k. I had a very similar run to you, but I skipped ascension as I forgot it had increased vision range and felt it would add to much bloat (I solemnly regret that now).
I really enjoy playing with challenging rulesets as these as I find the game to be very easy after playing it a lot, so please share any challenges you or anyone else might have :D
Oh actually one challenge I have yet to complete is a randomized/nuzlocke challenge. Use a random number generator to pick character, gun, runes, as well as what perks to pick and attempt to beat D15
To save you some headache, instead of randomizing each perk, just pick the first one every time. That will have the same effect as randomizing it.
@@CranberryGod Oh my gosh, that made it so much simpler, how did I not think of that. Just managed to finish a run as Abby with crossbow, was interesting. This challenge isn't very competitive as it's full on RNG, but it's a fun challenge nevertheless
btw would temple be easier to do over forest with this challenge? mainly cuz of how many explody dudes spawn?
I really wish the post-game summary displayed your stats. I suspect you had some pretty insane bullet damage because of ritual.
Yeah, I too wish for a more in depth stat breakdown, but if it isn’t in the game yet, it seems unlikely it will be added.
Wouldnt aeromagic be a good tree to go into for the aoe eye of the storm procs?
uhh, yeah probably, I did forget that existed, it isnt a huge dps upgrade, but it's probably worth the investment
I don't think Death Rounds applies to Glare, but I haven't finished the video yet. I also don't know if it gets added to Splinter before or after the 90% damage reduction. I'm curious to see both.
24:15 Death Rounds doesn't apply to Glare. You were still doing 57 point Glare hits to unwithered mobs and 74 to withered ones, same as before. It looks like it applies to Splinter shots _after_ the damage reduction. Your Splinter shots were doing 21 or 22, whereas they were doing 5 before _(you've picked up a couple other perks that affect your bullet damage too, but nothing that would boost it that high except Death Rounds)._ Good science Cranberry, thanks :-)

@@CranberryGod I don't quite follow why death rounds would increase glare's damage. Glare deals 25 base and gets doubled by Intense Glare, am I missing something?
@@klerpy1331 The Sight Magic perk applies on hit effects. In the past, Death Rounds was applied as an on hit effect, dealing an additional flat damage on hit, but it seems that that is no longer the case. For all I know, death rounds was never applied to glare, but at this point in the game, so many random things are broken, it's impossible to tell when things did and didn't start to work.
