I have the Black 15 in 256gb and I can say it is amazing. I gave my wife my 14 Pro and I took the 15 because I thought of myself as a slightly above regular user and didn’t need the pro features. Sometimes I do notice the 60hz compared to the 120hz but it’s not bad. In most cases I don’t notice it. The USB-C isn’t much of a big deal for me as I’ve only used it to charge my AirPods a few times and transfer through AirDrop. I love how it has the chip from the 14 Pro which is insanely fast. The matte back makes it feel like the Pro and the 48mp camera is really good especially because it gets 10x digital zoom compared to the base 14’s 5x is much better. You get 90% of the features from the 15 Pro so I’d get the base 15. After using it for 3 months it feels just like the 14 Pro in a fun design with more colours.
I think this matte black is one of their best black colors in a while.

Currently using the Se 3, plan on getting either the Se 4 or the regular 15 in the future. Whichever is cheaper at the time, either will be a upgrade for me.

How has the color of the matte black hold up? Is it easy to get scratches and see the silver color of the aluminum?
Hey this was an amazing take on the iPhone 15 and just things in general! Impeccable ! Gained a new subscriber for sure. I know most won’t agree with me but I have been using a 13PM for the last 2 years or so. It’s nice but it’s just too big for my hands and to hold comfortably. So I just bought the iPhone 15, I will keep the 13PM as a backup but I think I’m going to love the 15
Would you reccomend it? (I have the iPhone 11 now)

I have a green 15 plus with 128gb and I could never handle such a small 6.1 display screen 6.4 or 6.5-6 is normal for me plus I could care less about 60hz I just want a good battery life and camera but could care less about a camera as long as it’s 1080p at least
I love my 15 I traded my 13 mini for it and I will forever miss that phone but the battery is great the screen size is great. The camera is undefeated in my opinion. I never realized how much I needed Dynamic Island until I got it. Almost went for pro but just didn’t think it was worth the extra $200.

Here is the thing. All of my mates who wanted small iPhone saw my 13 mini and upgraded from 7/8/SE. My other friends who aren’t massive tech nerds have upgraded from XR/11 to the 15 as it’s a massive upgrade in terms of camera quality. U.K. is similar to USA in terms of iPhone is very dominant. I use all sorts of stuff but that’s not the day to day consumer exactly as you covered.
I couldn’t go back to 60hz, it feels laggy af. Especially considering it costs 1000+ in whatever currency
I was a bit bothered with 60hz when I first got it but after a few days I couldn't care less tbh. Phone works great no issues.

I find myself turning off the 120hz feature more often to try and extend the battery life on the phones that I owned. Even on my Steam Deck, I'd restrict the refresh rate to 40hz for the benefit of longer play time. I'd take device longevity over super smooth 120+hz refresh rate always. Would of liked to see variable refresh rate on the iPhone 15, 1hz to 60hz. That should've been possible.
I just upgraded from a 6s to the 15 a few days ago. For me i dont notice an issue with the refresh rate, but i've never had the top spec phone. One thing I'm not sure on is that I think the battery doesn't last as long as it should for only browsing tiktok and instagram. I really love the phone tho especially for having a 6s for this long.
I have the 15 pro max, the refresh rate really isn’t anything, it feels better sure, but people over exaggerate about it, the battery is insane though
I just got my 15, traded in my 13 which I loved but I don’t wanna have to think about a new phone in about 2 years. It’s ok, no issues but I didn’t have any issues with my 13 either.
I really appreciate this "real person" style review! I have been on the fence between upgrading from my 11 Pro to the 15 or 15 Pro and feel like I can't justify the 15 Pro and all its bells and whistles for the price point. This pretty much told me that I am on the right track and the 15 is a solid upgrade!

Noo don’t! I‘d rather get a 13 pro or 14 pro just for those 120hz! Once you get used to it 60hz feels like your phone is slow and lagging, try it out in a store!

I went from 11 pro to 15 and couldn’t be happier! It is such a massive upgrade, especially if your battery health is down the drain like mine was
I decided to get 15 as my 12 Pro battery health is terrible, the speakers are borked, one night I thought the phone was dead, but it performed an HOUR long update. I hope 15 will last me as long as 12 Pro did, even longer I hope
I love the regular iPhone 15 and the black color is fire. However, it is the slipperiest phone I've ever held, like holding a bar of soap. So a case is pretty much needed. I recommend the black iPhone 15 with the black apple silicone case.
I wish I got the iPhone 15 in black but I caught up in the media’s hype over the pink one 🤦🏻♀️ definitely not the most versatile phone colour, in terms of cases.. lol. Still love my iPhone 15 base model though. Never cared for higher refresh rates, even when it’s been available and my iPhone 15 is still fast
Oddly enough, the normal 60hz displays ARE "smoother" in scrolling than the Pro Motion displays. In many apps, especially Reddit, the pro display introduces stuttering to the mix. So while that 120hz does make for buttery smooth iOS motions, it's the apps that kill the experience. It's something I was annoyed at most with my old 14Pro.
Even it 60 hrt is very smooth compare to my Samsung a34 with 120 refresh rate is log

I’m done with phones. I used to get a new phone every year or two. I got the 14 pro max the second it was available for preorder. I’m done. It’s nothing different or necessarily better than any other old iPhone. Slight incremental improvements sure, but that’s it. I’m making it a point to use this phone until it’s completely dead. No more upgrading just for the sake of upgrading.
My friend upgraded from a XR to 15 pro max, he’s not a tech nerd. I asked him what differences do you feel. He said just the camera is improved. Apple knows their customers. Majority of them just don’t care or don’t know about the 60Hz

People often overlook how damn good the iPhone 15 is, just because of the lack of a 120hz display, even though it absolutely nailes all the other aspects of a phone. Despite agreeing that, for the price, this phone should have at least a 90hz display, most normal people won’t even notice at the end of the day!
I spend most of my time on TH-cam, and TH-cam videos often run at 30hz 😭

@@georgeemerald4389yup on a quick test you won’t notice (said it with 4K vs 1080, 120/60hz) when your eyes get accustomed to it, you will notice much more
Camera is good, rest of it is not. That's it.

Me who once buy ss galaxy s3 while everybody use an iPhone 4,4s and 5 and also me who once buy ss S21 because i just want to try new things after use iPhone 5s,6s and 11 which means i'm an iPhone user for so long end up selling S21 in 1 year after find out Android phone still as stupid as before, I turn back to an iPhone 11 and I still holding it looking for an iPhone 16-17 because except battery health, iPhone 11 still work perfectly as the day i bought it 4 years ago, never thinks Apple product is scam.

It is a scam, especially on the refresh rate. Whether the normal user can see the difference or not, does not mean they shouldn't/can't add it. At least make it a 90Hz screen. Forget the 'normal user' excuse. For it's price, in 2024, 60Hz is a huge rip off
