    I've had this video bookmarked for a while now. I finally bought a good airbrush and painted my first tank this way, it's a game changer, thank you for the video

    Thx for the tutorial and thx for noticing that the music was rather dominant in the beginning. Great job

    Gorgeous! Going to be painting a totally Phobos force using this technique. What product did you use to thin the paint?

    • @paintcademy804

      It a mixture of water an pure alcohol in 10:1 ratio. However if you’re looking for actual product the Vallejo Thinner is great as well.

    This is really nice tutorial! Am gonna try to do this for ultramarine. Would it be possible to mux macragge blue and vallejo black primer as first layer of primer? Will that be strong enough to be the first primer layer?

    • @paintcademy804
      @paintcademy804  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely! It will need a fair amount of black to be dark enough, but it will look way better than just plain black. :)

    wow would you approach yellow in the same fashion?

    • @paintcademy804
      @paintcademy804  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The technique would be the same, although with yellow the color selection can be tricky. In general, you want to use "yellowish browns" like Zamesi Desert for the base and use yellow only for the final layer. It makes the work waaay easier.

    So, in your mind, where is the light source for those highlights? They seem to be all over the place and don't make much sense.

    • @logan-9900
      @logan-9900 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's a 3d dimensional model the light source changes, the idea is to have stark contrast.

    wow, just some feedback on the background music but that was some very overpowering bass. It was almost painful to have on so had to mute the video and turn subtitles on! Nice paint job tutorial though
