Well, kinda. Thanks to the Xvive U5 System which I reviewed in my last video, I've had the luxury of not needing to have cables running across my floor. It's made filming exponentially easier and is one of my best film gear investments to date.
*I mentioned plugging the microphone jack into the system's receiver while I meant to say transmitter. The B-roll shows the correct operation.

Another great video, Tommy! Interesting to hear the differences in audio quality how you found solutions to the problem. Bit of nostalgia there with that clip of a younger you! Sweet! 😀🎤

I really like the Xvive U5T2 that I own however I find the Xvive LV2 to have much more natural sound. In terms of making my microphones wireless I have found the Deity Pocket Wireless to be a much more affordable and often more effective option since it does mount onto hot shoes / cold shoe mounts unlike the Xvive. The Boya shotgun mic may be good value but it also has a bit of sibilance which is the expressive "s" sounds in the audio.

Thanks for your comment! I've heard similiar things about the LV2, I hope I can have the opportunity to test it one day. When looking to purchase a wireless audio system, the Deity Pocket Wireless was one of my options, I however saw that the Xvive System was on sale so that's what sealed the deal. Glad to hear the Deity system is working well for you! Thanks for informing me about the sibilance in the audio, I wouldn't have noticed it otherwise.

@@TommyHoughton If you want to find out I test most of my wireless microphones with both the LV1 and LV2 and on my main channel I made 3 movies using the LV2. The LV2 sounds horrid with the Rode Wireless Go and the Comica Boomx-D. I also just found out that the LV2 also sounds great with the Marfak WE10 Pro which I am reviewing an upgraded version with more reception distance and battery life right now as I write. The company is a generic called Pupgsis.

I’ll check them out, thanks! *edit, just checked out your wireless mic's video (and U5T2 review), and the LV2 sounds really clear and natural. I'll definetly keep an eye on it for a future upgrade.

Great Video! If you have a Shotgun Mic the requires phantom power to operate how would this system work? What is name of wireless system. Seems to work like s wireless lav mic system which is cool! Awesome job.

Thanks for your comment! The wireless system I'm using is the Xvive U5 Wireless audio system. My mic has phantom power provided by a removeable AA battery, and the XLR to 3.5mm adapter is what I use to connect the mic to the Xvive system. For shotgun Mic's without internal phantom power, there are a few solutions out there, but I haven't tested any of them so I can only say what I know. The Xvive P1 Phantom power supply seems to be a solution to the problem, as it also contains an internal battery capable of supplying phantom power, combined with the XLR to 3.5mm adapter, you can then power a shotgun mic and plug the 3.5mm jack into most devices (such as the Xvive U5 System.) Here is a link to a review of the system by Chris Watkins Media (th-cam.com/video/FxzCp7BfCFc/w-d-xo.html) Hope that helps!
