It's like everyone around you is living, distracted by their lives, but you don't. At least, it was my interpretation when I saw the movie. Great scene!
A glorious masterpiece of a scene. The feeling of hearing, feeling everything, wanting to be a part of it all but inevitably made an outsider or made to feel like one.
It is one of the finest scene in history of cinema that means your life is your life, nobody gonna damn about it You are so depressed and unhappy from your life and then you see the whole world is normal, busy in their lives, talking, laughing and you are only sad soul in this world. What a true crafted scene. What a masterpiece!
It is a bigger metaphor of filmmaking itself. This is how sound designers go location scouting and do field recordings for the film. They are the observers, the filmmaker- artist- art is allegorically put in perspective in this scene. It is a meta comment about art- empathy to others and the power of sound design/ recording in cinema.
Hi guys!...does anybody know the name of the song (or author's name), when is Breivik arriving to Oslo city?....I mean the scene when is going by taxi through a tunnel. Many thanks
one of the best scenes in contemporary cinema

i cant forget about this movie and this scene since i watched it
how did you hear about this movie? I thought only norwegians had seen it
@@thisguy4233 i heard about it on reddit
He hears them, talking about hope, their future ... he hears them screaming how much they want to live. And he can't understand their feeling ...
Nathalie C Yeah. The best scene in the film imo
He wants to live, but he's in a midlife crisis x10. The gap between Anders' self image and what he has achieved in life is making him bitter.
The best movie of this decade so far. Its like seeing a human being to come apart in million of pieces.
My favourite film of all time. Especially as someone who lives in Oslo right now (right next to where this cafe is) this film hits hard every time.
@@Biring1 OSLO?! Where that female actor madam Martine Myking, is from?! I AM HER BIGGEST FAN. MYKINGERS FOR LIFE!!!!!

Whenever I am out of my countrry and sitting alone in a cafe, I feel like him, I observe arround me wondering what all those people are talking about.
Great scene, one of the best that I’ve ever seen in cinema.
This is the best scene of the entire film
The female actor reading what she wants to do in the future, is so good right. Breathtaking performance!
best film i have ever watched
Memorable scene
my number one film
same
this was my favourite scene
Thanks for posting this.
Wow Anne Martine Myking is so breathtaking in this scene. Fellow Mykingers, rise up!
Great scene. It doesn't have the subtlety of Malle's cafe scene, but it works equally well.
My favorite film. Does anyone know which Åpent Bakeri is this in Oslo?
its the expresso kaffe across slotten parken

Åpent Bakeri in Parkveien. Now replaced with a shitty Espresso House.
Thank you so much. I will be in Oslo next month and i really want to visit that place. Sad to replaced but still worth visiting.
