@@frankreads8618that's really common in Christian culture. Susan loses the ability to access Narnia when she starts wearing lipstick and develops a crush on a boy (Peter is allowed to age without this happening though, natch). Stuff like that. Not universal, but common.

It starts with her period and then she's immediately dating and having boy trouble where as Simon is always palling around with Ruthie who is 5 years younger than him, and doing little kid stuff. I grew up watfching this show, but was closer in age to Ruthie to anyone else, so the stories I remember best are the Simon/Ruthie storylines and omg listening to this as an adult, I'm dying at the amount of drama I just, didn't care about.
If anyone else thought the actress that played Jen rang a bell, yes she is the same actress that played Gia on Full House and yes she’s basically the exact same character in both shows
Thank you for doing the lord’s work bc I am so here for reliving the ridiculousness of this show but I absolutely do not want to sit down and watch it 😂
I feel like the difference between Lucy and Ruthie dressing that way- it really boils down to the fact that Ruthie was only 6 years old. Annie doesn't freak out on Ruthie because she's still young and even if it's for a boys attention, it's completely innocent (In Annie's eyes it's just a puppy crush and not worth mentioning) However Lucy's a teenager and was boy crazy from the first episode, Annie knew very well that Lucy's intentions weren't innocent. I've watched up to season 5, and Ruthie gets her time in the spotlight getting lectured for her outfit when she tries to wear something very... interesting to a concert. It wasn't for boys attention, but Annie corrects her in, what I think is a very good way.
It is nice to see a deep dive where they are excited about the madness / it makes them happily laugh instead of tearing it to shreds for how unrealistic this TV show is
Yep... I still think she's gonna say "TO FIND CHUCKY!" (What she says to Detective Norris when he asks where she's going." She did a good job in that movie.
Other than the Catching Up With the Camdens podcast put on by the actors who play Simon, Lucy and Ruthie, I have seen few people recap 7th Heaven and your recaps are great so I’m not surprised people like it and I’m glad you’re recapping season 2🙃
Can't wait for Season 3 recap! Would also be awesome for you to cover The Secret Life of The American Teenager. If you haven't seen that one yet I think it would be right up your ally.
Some of the homes for people with very serious autism can be wonderful. A family member of mine was a danger to himself and those around him because of his panicked outbursts. In his home, he is so happy and feels very safe. His mom is a social worker so she was luck enough to know this home very well before needing it for her own son.
There's still parts of this season that live in my head rent free as a grown-ass adult. I remember "wacky Dr Peterson" and his test mix up anytime I take a pregnancy test in a doctor's office
The episode "Nothing Endures But Change", where Lucy's friend is killed, was based on something that happened to Beverley Mitchell (who played Lucy) in real life. FWIW, while Stephen Collins was a creep, there is NO evidence that he engaged in any bad behavior on the set of 7th Heaven--the cast was stunned when Collins' child molestation allegations came out...
Well they have not said but just because they have not said anything does not mean he didnt . You are the type to defend a pedo like Stephen Collins but throw Bill Cosby or R Kelly under the bus for the same crimes
Damn, didn't realize the starcrossed lovers from "Roswell" were both on "7th heaven" this season. Jason Behr (Brian) and Shiri Appleby (Karen, the girl in a gang).
Can not wait for you to cover season 3! Annie's pregnancy/birth causes some ridiculous behavior and situations, particularly when she straight up loses her mind over her father's wedding!

Omfg I saw this show for the first time in my life in 2016 on a cruise. It was storming so my little brother and I were in the cabin all day & like the only thing on the TV that wasn’t the news or sports was 7th Heaven. And it was like this all day marathon. the first episode that we watched was the gang episode with Babydoll. And we were like this is the MOST wild show ever. Like we were loosing our minds, but we couldn’t stop watching. 😂😂 and for the rest of the cruise every night we’d get back to our cabin and instead of sleeping we’d stay up till like 3am watching mother fucking 7th Heaven. I blame the theme song… it’s too fucking catchy.
Not gonna lie the kid on the roofs fit is not bad at all. Plain white top and some baggy cuffed denim (probably vintage) brushed back middle part. I’m just saying he would be killing it in this era.
Please recap all of the seasons. I don't know how this happened but as I was driving my kid to school today, I thought to myself, "I can't wait to listen to more 7th Heaven recaps." But I finished your recap on season 2. And now I'm going to go into withdrawal.
The stuff about the disabled son just furthers what I was saying in my other comment about how disabled folks are hidden away. That generation especially was ashamed of having disabled family members So that's where a lot of group homes started. Even people that didn't have behaviors that were violent were put away. Honestly it still happens today. My aunt who is a boomer put my niece into a group home and never speaks of her. Like never the only reason I found out about her was because I overheard a family member discussing the situation and what happened many years ago. Yeah, it's actually really sad. I deliberately had to cut off contact with my family because they were trying to have my rights taken away from me and put away in a mental institution. Our country still has a real problem with ableism and eugenics even how medicine is practiced basically shuts us out of society. It's actually normalized to throw away or abort disabled people. So much so that's what a lot of the gene research is about being able to choose whether or not to bring people into the world like me.

Cartoon shows are like reruns of old animated shorts. They run for varied amounts of times usually adding up to the length of a feature film, so it’s reasonable that the moms and small kiddos walked in at the middle. It really wouldn’t matter because the cartoon show doesn’t have a plot lol.
I am an accountant and If you file a joint return you are jointly liable for both parties debts. This is why you don’t file married when you aren’t. Once it is filed, it’s done. You have to pay for someone to fix it, it always costs 3 times as much to fix it than it does to do it right. You’d have to file innocent spouse, but they aren’t technically spouses so it’s a mess and the irs won’t be just refunding money.
So my Dad used to watch this show ALL the time and I used to mercilessly tease him about this. My Dad passed away in 2016 and it weirdly comforts me to watch this LOL. When I was teasing my Dad he told me "you just can't let others enjoy things! So judgemental!" I feel kind of bad about it now.
The IRS or state equivalent will, in fact, come for money from anywhere they think they can. We had money pulled straight from our bank to cover my husband's mother's debt once. That was a scary day. Almost everything we had saved for a down payment on a house. We were very fortunate that we were fast enough and knew smart enough people to recover it.

I grew up watfching this show, but was closer in age to Ruthie to anyone else, so the stories I remember best are the Simon/Ruthie storylines and omg listening to this as an adult, I'm dying at the amount of drama I just, didn't care about.
I was Simon's age, and the Simon/Ruthie parts were the only ones I care about. Lol
I would pay actual money to hear you do one of these for Full House
Yes! Then she can stop blaming immediate consequences of sin on. Pro-God show. 😂😂
Like, it's all over Full House (and other shows)
I'm so sorry but I must insist on you continuing the 7th heaven deep dive, I need a video for every season and maybe a full series retrospective
Oh no! Poor Mark Taylor (Taran Noah Smith from Home Improvement) was going to jump off a building for the wrong pants.
And his mom was Kitty Foreman 😄
Well after his recent lifestyle choices perhaps Kitty should have just pushed him off.
If anyone else thought the actress that played Jen rang a bell, yes she is the same actress that played Gia on Full House and yes she’s basically the exact same character in both shows
Omg thank you! This was driving me crazy
Marla Sokoloff! I love her.
Thank you for doing the lord’s work bc I am so here for reliving the ridiculousness of this show but I absolutely do not want to sit down and watch it 😂
Beverly Mitchel lost her firend in REAL life that episode was about that
I never noticed how much matt got in trouble for nothing. Lol that's that oldest child syndrome.
Especially considering that’s nothing compared to later season shit
It's way more fun to watch you recap than to watch it myself, please do season 3!
Yes, please continue with the 7th Heaven videos.
It wasn't for boys attention, but Annie corrects her in, what I think is a very good way.
i love that in this video your just enjoying the unhingness instead of hating on it
It is nice to see a deep dive where they are excited about the madness / it makes them happily laugh instead of tearing it to shreds for how unrealistic this TV show is
Catherine Hicks the mother was Andy's mother from child's play
Yep... I still think she's gonna say "TO FIND CHUCKY!" (What she says to Detective Norris when he asks where she's going."
She did a good job in that movie.
Season 3 please! Don't worry they work out the math so "7' still applies 👬
Other than the Catching Up With the Camdens podcast put on by the actors who play Simon, Lucy and Ruthie, I have seen few people recap 7th Heaven and your recaps are great so I’m not surprised people like it and I’m glad you’re recapping season 2🙃
Simon is bald now… 🫤
Can't wait for Season 3 recap! Would also be awesome for you to cover The Secret Life of The American Teenager. If you haven't seen that one yet I think it would be right up your ally.
Haha yes! I forgot about that show. It's nuts.
Please tell me you'll do the entire series. This is fantastic!
Some of the homes for people with very serious autism can be wonderful. A family member of mine was a danger to himself and those around him because of his panicked outbursts. In his home, he is so happy and feels very safe. His mom is a social worker so she was luck enough to know this home very well before needing it for her own son.
Wilson started his own cult later in life…
Rod is played by Arnold from Hey Arnold!
There's still parts of this season that live in my head rent free as a grown-ass adult. I remember "wacky Dr Peterson" and his test mix up anytime I take a pregnancy test in a doctor's office
Alright now that you've done season 2, I'll subscribe. Keep em coming, content slave!
Oh my God I my comment from the last video made it in here. Look Mom, I'm famous!
After watching the recap for both season 1 & 2 i am learning that a lot of my preconceptions about the world came from this show lol
crazy take for me to say while she is still 6 but my favorite thing about 7th heaven is that ruthie is actually the most unhinged😂
I felt sorry for Lucy. She was that middle child who was craving the attention of her parents.
1:27:25 Brian was more than likely phased out because the actor who played him starred in "Roswell"
Another great chaotic WB show that deserves a deep dive haha
I really think you should recap all the seasons. Maybe not the last one because it really didn't feel like the same show... They are all insane haha
Can not wait for you to cover season 3! Annie's pregnancy/birth causes some ridiculous behavior and situations, particularly when she straight up loses her mind over her father's wedding!
Will the show be retitled then? Eighth Heaven? Or Seventh Heaven Z?
@@cybercop0083She had twins, so the name of the show didn't have to change
@@CharlestonChica Hold on, Chica. Twins?? So we are dealing with "Ninth Heaven"??
@@cybercop0083 still just 7th Heaven because seven kiddos in total.
@@ambitiously_ 😵💫😵💫😵💫
The french pronunciation of Guy as "gee" (hard g) is correct
So, so fun! Glad you did season 2! I'll be looking forward to season 3.
I love this rewatch series!!! I haven’t found really anybody who is recapping the whole series. I’m here for however many seasons you cover!
The Juvie kid doesn't even look like a kid. He looks like a grown man.
That's what I was thinking. He looks to be in his twenties, at least. I was so confused that we were supposed to think that he was a kid/teen.
Yeah, he had some pretty epic chest hair.
He looks 21
A lot of the male love interests look like grown men. It's so weird.
Please recap season 3! Love these videos. 😊
Me waiting for u to call out how the jumper kids mom is KITTY FOREMAN from that’s 70 show so she was also on this episode with Mika Kunis from That 70s show lol what are the odds
Bingo! It's wild
I’m at home recovering from major surgery, and I’m bored and sick. But when I saw this video pop up, I literally said “YES!” out loud lol
Enjoying your commentary XD
Season 3! Season 3! Season 3!
I hope you do every season, this is my new favorite thing to watch. Your commentary is just amazing!
1:22:13 Ummm? That’s an EMTALA violation? The hospital HAS to stabilize anyone that presents at the hospital in mortal danger?
1:23:25 oh, it’s heartburn. Nevermind.
Just saw you cover season one, I scrolled down when it was done, saw you covered season two, and clicked so fast 😅 As someone who was raised in a strict Christian household (Pagan now) and grew up with this on the TV often, I love this. You bring up so many good points that even then confused me. I'd love it if you covered every season. The way you explain and go over everything is so good.
Heavens gate. Not Jonestown. Also the website is still up and running.
Btw, the kid that played Wilson has his very own cult too. It’s really weird. Last I knew they lost their lease so he’s trying to find a more permanent locale.
I watched a video about Andrew Keegans "cult" it doesn't seem that weird but it was super random thing to hear about him
I’m living for these recaps please do all the seasons
GOD BLESS YOU LADY I WAS WAITING FOR THIS
Please continue this. Im currently watching this with my wife who watched this as a child for some reason. it still has this bizarre hold on her and I’m still watching the episodes😂 I need the snark,I need the commentary, and calling out all of the…interesting storylines this show had. I love this
Cartoon shows are like reruns of old animated shorts. They run for varied amounts of times usually adding up to the length of a feature film, so it’s reasonable that the moms and small kiddos walked in at the middle. It really wouldn’t matter because the cartoon show doesn’t have a plot lol.
Thank you again for subjecting yourself to a "show" like this! It's much more palatable than watching it myself!
this is like my new obsession to watch while crafting, i can’t wait to see you cover the next season!
Please continue with this series- it’s been years since I’ve seen this show!
1:35:10 Simon's "makeout champion" also played Zenon in the Zenon trilogy.
I binged this show during lockdown so it's kind of like a fever dream for me. Love your recaps, looking forward to season 3!
We need season 3!! I remember this being a ridiculous show back in the day but cannot bring myself to watch it all. This is perfect!
I literally watched the first one right before you uploaded this! Best timing ever lol! Season 3 is even more unhinged I bet!
I AM SO READY FOR THIS!! IDK HOW MANY TIMES I WATCHED YOUR FIRST VIDEO
Thanks for continuing this series! It's the best ever...please continue...I need your take on the season where Lucy and Simon have inappropriate chemistry.
Just putting a comment in to add to the votes for you to do all the seasons! I found you today and specifically subscribed in hopes of gettin more of this series. Such fun, you're great.
Wow I'm so excited for this. I had so much fun listening to part one. Live this channel
