I agree, she knows a lot of history and is able to describe what seem to be insignificant things and make them exciting. I believe it’s why her channel has succeeded while others have not. Keep it up Stephanie you are entertaining, encouraging, positive, and full of, interesting tidbits of knowledge.
17:05 In fact, things haven’t changed so much: most people can still only dream of visiting far away places. This is perhaps part of why channels such as these are so beloved - they provide a window into other worlds, other types of lives, past and present.❤
I agree with you, Stephanie, a little piece of history in a brush mark on a carafe, a teacup or an ancient Grecian urn. It brings us back to the simpler times and beauty.
You are a marvel Stephanie your knowledge is amazing and you have a wonderful way when telling us any information you are made for each other what a fantastic market and town ❤❤❤
For your guests it would be very fitting to develop a lovely library for them to browse all your wonderful decor books and sit quietly apart in a hushed atmosphere, one day ?
I live the beautiful blue and white dishes Phillip found. Wonderful crystal set too. Cannot wait to see every ones Halloween costumes at Lalande this year. 🙂🇨🇦
Philip , that cape was lovely. I still have the vintage capes my sister and I purchased long ago, used, and wore to dances and so have my own young daughters. Hard to come by those very nice vintage capes.
@@andreadern4463 I was thinking of making them from willow trees. The branches are very pliable if you soak them in water. I’ve seen them made in the mountains of North Carolina.❤️
@@TheChateauDiaries I remember them, and the lady who came to the Chateau and she sells them. Not sure if anyone remembers just where they can purchase them? Am quite sure I am correct, and she sells them? They really do look so nicely on you !
I totally agree, I know plenty that are bigger and though I like them, non are as varied a slice of Chateau life and with Stephanie’s natural face on camera it should have many more followers and views.
I hope you purchased the ladle. It's awesome. The cape was pretty elegant. I was surprised when you passed on it. Although, you both probably already have several. I loved those blue and white plates. Are they transferware? Steven and Chantel, the shrimp and garlic aoli, looked delicious. How lovely to see you all together for an intimate meal. Thanks, as always. ❤ from TX!
I hadn't looked up Pezenas on a map until this video when you said that Montpellier had eclipsed it (somewhat). I've been to Montpellier and loved it! It is one of my favorite cities in France. Pezenas is very charming and I'd love to visit. Thanks for sharing!
I love gas curling irons! I always keep one in my travel bag. And you can take them in your travel bag on the plane, you just have to keep the gas cannister in an enclosed container.
Each vlog from you Stephanie is a new lesson for me. That was very informative and relaxing, so many interesting things. You certainly have a hard job reigning Philip in lol 🤗
Got myself a bowl of homemade soup, got cozy on the couch with my cat (it is Autumn here in the U.S. as well) and watched this video with a very happy heart. One of my fave types of vlog you make! Thank you! ♡
Thank you for a wonderful tour of Pezenas! I enjoyed the antiques faire ! Also, it was good see an interesting example Sarreguemines. I have a child’s ca.1900 Kate Greenaway style washbasin on stand from this pottery.
Wow Stephanie you make these tours so exciting and interesting. Your knowledge of the history is amazing. Love seeing you and Philip shopping. Everything you buy is so interesting and beautiful. Thank you for bringing me along ❤❤
HOW WONDERFUL! I just love a great antiques fair and that was fabulous. Some fantastic finds and a very interesting commentary as well...thank you Stephanie and Philip ...and Gallahad! I thoroughly enjoyed this...alla prossima Marisa 💖🤗😘

That was a wonderful trip. I think you need to invest in a Boulder Cart type thing, so you can add all your shopping goodies as you trundle through the market! :D
I love how you wove the history of the city into your browsing. Very interesting and you found some gems. I would have definitely caved for that gorgeous cape, though!
I have been living in Pézenas since 5 years now. But every time you come we don’t cross our paths, which is a pity. I would love such a surprise. I’ve done the brocante last Sunday too but probably you were there earlier than me. Fingers crossed, next time 🤞💓 And I also wanted to say that you could be the proudest piscenoise (this is how locals are called) cause the town is unfortunately losing it’s charm due to life standards going down and the careless attitude of people towards many aspects. Also the local artisans are struggling making ends meet. I do hope that the situation can change for the better.
In my opinion Philip is a big Shopper , he is always buying dishes etc and always has a reason of his purchases. He obviously loves China and porcelain and decorating
My very favorite tour guide is Stephanie. When she goes on her trips and takes us along it is always entertaining, informative and fun!!!
Stephanie, you are a brilliant storyteller, your commentary is superb.

I just love how close you are with your aunt and your uncle and your cousin, it’s so heartwarming to watch.
I love shopping with you guys! I love when I get the exciting and fascinating history of the items you show and the places you go.
Be awesome to shop there!

The copper bin could be used for umbrellas 😊
I find its best to find Christmas things before anyone else is thinking about Christmas.
I love it when Pezenas has its brocante market!! It’s sooo fabulous!! ❤❤
You are a marvel Stephanie your knowledge is amazing and you have a wonderful way when telling us any information you are made for each other what a fantastic market and town ❤❤❤
It seems like quite a while since Philip has had his hair down and curly. I love that look, he like he should be in Versailles with Louis the 14th.
Stephanie ,you and Phillip need to just travel all over Europe, educating us on all the history!
I love you're history lessons!💕💕
Oh how I miss the brocants in France. Lemons and textile and all. You gave us a delightful tour of the ancient town. What a gift we have in you!

Philip loves women’s clothes to wear, good lord!! The sequins and lace! I love how Stephanie said ‘YOU would wear this??’
Men used to wear lace and beading - so why shouldn’t he?
