    Just a tip , turn passenger , turn driver. Yelling turn turn turn or giving hand direction doesn't always translate while offroading

    • @AllThingsOverlanding
      @AllThingsOverlanding  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I was actually so crammed into the wheel wells that I couldn't turn the wheel so it was more a result of that that I got damage than the instructions. But you're right that clearer verbal directions would definitely be more helpful!

      @@AllThingsOverlanding I seen a woman almost flip her explorer at Interlake from her husband/boyfriend giving her bad directions. Scary moment

      @AllThingsOverlanding  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brianwatson3705 That does sound scary. Cody and I have been on several trips together so far, so we have pretty good communication. Despite no verbal indication of driver or passenger, I could totally understand what he was telling me to do and he got me down through this section, so it worked out. Still, it's probably best to come up with some rules/standards when offroading so that everyone knows what to expect!

      @@AllThingsOverlandingand Roger that on what @Brian Watson said. Every wheeling “group” and even wheeling with the wife the universal “driver / passenger” seems to be the standard. I learned this when a buddy invited me to go “wheelin” for the first time ever. We went with large club group where they had vehicle inspections and a drivers meeting before hitting the trail. Wow, what an intro to wheeling, I was hooked and I found and bought an Xterra within a week 👍 lol.

      @@AllThingsOverlanding What size rim? I wanna get 33‘s but I have the SE 17 inch rims I’m hearing that to 285 70 Fit but then some people say the rim is wider and contacts the frame

    • @AllThingsOverlanding
      @AllThingsOverlanding  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@balakays550 Ahh, gotcha. 17” rims. I had 1.5” spacers all around and with stock SE wheels and Level 8 MK6’s I had no rubbing outside of the back of the front wheel wells. I got away with the melt mod on my stock wheels but with the Level 8’s I ended up trimming about half an inch of metal off the rear of the front wheel wells.

    What was the Trail rated?

    • @AllThingsOverlanding
      @AllThingsOverlanding  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s not technically rated. It’s basically a Forest service road.

    Question is what's the gap between the hood & front quarter panels. If the reveal is same all good. Just push it in by hand or give it the infamous hockey hip check.
