About a year ago, Fitment Industries bought a 1991 BMW E30 318i. Since then, the car has been through a lot. From Silvers coilovers and BBS Wheels to air suspension and 2-piece forged wheels, this car has seen it all. In this episode, we highlight some of our favorite modifications on the car. I would say swap but if theres a budget might be better going turbo. Cheaper to throw it in vs a new powertrain. You know you wanna make cool Bov noises at all the cheese festivals in Wisconsin. 😅

I'd sell it and start a new project. The E30 is a great car, but lets face it, you wish you bought the 2 door version which means you'll never truly love this car. Get out now and start a new project car.

@@xandres9451 You don't take the classic out by customising the car to your liking, the main thing remains unchainged, and that's it's look and what it represents in our minds.
This is a quite unique build, never seen a BMW with turn signals before :P
I bought my e93 almost a year ago and dumped a bunch of money into it. First mod I ever did was remove turn signals. No added benefit but I didn’t need them.

I love that you're doing an E30 and that you're doing it the right way without hacking too much. Also +1 for doing a 4 door.
That being said, what's your plan for the car? It seems that you're doing stacy stuff (bags and big wheels) but also track car stuff (fixed back seats, steering wheel, door cards) and I'm not sure what the purpose is. Either way, I love the videos, keep it up!
Still working on a plan, if you have suggestions we're open to them!
@@FitmentIndustries Ok! I would just suggest working on one thing rather than both. Like do the stance thing if you want, just don't make the car any less comfortable with track stuff. Or do track stuff and focus on that. I know it's just a personal opinion, but throwing baller parts at a car with no end goal in mind just seems like something to get insta clout and youtube views (although that might be the whole point).

The e30 is special. Used to own a 325 e30. Miss it so much. It was so much fun! I put alot of time and cash on it and it was the most fun car i ever owned. Not alot of power but a welded diff and it drifted like crazy.

@@chaospotato5511 niiice my best friend used to give me rides home in his m52 swapped E30 I loved that car so much I saved up for a m52tu Z3 and later built and swapped in an m54 although that car was fun I still miss that E30 so elegant yet so sporty. Back seat was super comfortable also

When these cars were new when I was 13 14 15 to 18 I remember just staring at how beautiful they were. They were perfect and so stylish. The 5 series was so pretty that it was painful to watch them go by expecially a manual 5 series. I'm so glad to have just picked up a barn fine e 30 and I will bring it back.

one of my friends' dad bought an auto sedan e30, converted it into a coupe (easy because coupe and sedan are same length) and manual swapped it and shoved an s50 in it and i can't tell you how much i loved the sound

Shes looking nice my dude, I just got an 85 318i I'm pretty hyped to start working on it, picked it up for $500 things look good so far it just needs a starter to run so hopefully I'll have it running tomorrow and I can start replacing all the old with new/refurbished stuff it's gonna be a project forsure though shes rough 😂

@@davincicalisthenics I'm stuck currently, took a different approach trying to remove it by taking my air intake off, it's currently holding on by one bolt and I need to lift it to get it out, other than that she should start here this weekend hopefully, haven't had much time to mess with it the last few weeks

heck yea my grandpa and his 2 brothers and sister worked for Korman auto works in the 70's/80's for him in for the pit team and raced the BMW E30 coupe and won a few races driver was Ray Korman

My dad has his old 80s e30, it’s been sitting in our garage with a lot of issues on the outside it’s in perfect condition and he worked hard for the car to stay almost perfect looking in stock same with the interior but it’s been almost 15 years since it’s been on the road, not sure if it runs and I really want to fix it just cause how cool e30s are it’s sad for me knowing a very popular and cool car is near death in my basement

Picked up 89 325is coupe 5 speed 2 weeks ago for $3500 here in Cali. It’s rusted in common places and interior is shot to shit. But the baby runs and drives. Slowly but surely bringing her back to the glory days
