This is so difficult to achieve, it took me hours to get a decent result and the knot fell apart so many times I was close to desperation. Would be really great to get some improvements or tools on this
HI Nevmyr. For animation there are different steps that need to be taken. We recommend looking at this video here for tips th-cam.com/video/18dvBwxkAU8/w-d-xo.html
The two ends of the belt keep passing through each other while tying inspite of reducing the particle distance to 3. Can I do something else also to avoid this?
Dear Clo! Why when I pulled the fabric to make a knot, it went through on the other fabric. Many times after I finally get the knot it be unknot, It didnt stay like the video show. . How to fix it?
is this video supposed to have sound? I don't hear anything. It seems that there's only a visual version of this lesson. Is there anywhere that has a text walk through or verbal explanation for the auditory learners? Thanks!

It is a very complex technique. Takes lots of practice.
I think the possibility to delete pins also in 2D window can be very very useful.
Noted.
1:15 Do you use keyboard shortcuts to pin quickly?
Yes. If you hold W and Left-click you can add single pins
@@CLO3D That's an action that I can't change another keyboard shortcut for, right? :(
the result looks awesome in static but how it behaves in animation, when avatar is walking or something?

DUDE, MD AND CLO, TELL YOUR DEV TEAM TO MAKE KNOT TYING EASIER, THANK YOU.
Stop yelling. Want a realistic knot? It takes time.
@@CLO3D A software should be made for users to make things easy not discourage them. I think Temptor made a great point.

I can't get gizmo up with the pinch tool
If you are simulating, you have the hand "pinch" tool... turn off simulation to get the gizmo.
How do i go back if I accidentally un-knot? Undo does not work
Righ click, reset 2D pattern.

Hii
When you stretch fabric for the fold and pin it then what is the tool you are using for the pin plz let me know
The use of the Pin Box, Pin Lasso and single Pin is very important. To create a single pin Left Click in the 3D window on a pattern piece.
Dear Clo! Why when I pulled the fabric to make a knot, it went through on the other fabric. Many times after I finally get the knot it be unknot, It didnt stay like the video show. . How to fix it?
It is vitally important to make sure your Particle Distance is set to 5. Also do not pull to hard when the fabrics are intertwined.
@@CLO3D Thank you very much, after finish the knot do I still keep the pieces that knot together the particle distance set to 5 and not changing?
@@mylalam6510 Whenever you have finished and styling your garment you should lower the particle distance so the garment drapes more realistically.
Kindly Give The Option Delete pin in 2D Window too. Also please make an English tutorial for double knot!!

you make it look so easy!!! - Thank you
Practice, practice, practice. You are welcome.
When I *finally* simulate the knot threatens to unravel completely. :( And I am worried it will when I animate! What do I do?
Sorry for the late reply. Were you able to solve this issue?
@@CLO3D actually no, I wasn't.. it did unravel as soon as I deleted the pins used to make the knot
@@akankshachoubey2746 Make sure that you have lowered the Particle Distance of the pattern pieces. Either manually or using the High Res Garment Tool
@@akankshachoubey2746 lowering the particle distance is a must.
