Melody's mannerism/expressions comes from her idol the late great Ronnie James Dio. He performed similar on stage. Ronnie's wife calls her Melodio. Great reaction you two.. peace out.
There are bands that do covers and just screw them up but Liliac takes a cover to the next level always honoring the original and putting a little bit of their own flair into it which makes it better then the original. March 5th at 10am they release their cover of Master of Puppets. Cannot wait for this. RORH.
She is particularly happy here.... because I bet she warms up to easier songs. Love this song, original and the Liliac cover, but this is hardly challenging to a drummer.
when I first started watching their cover videos I thought they were really good but they have just taken it to another level in the past year or so, I am obsessed and go crazy waiting to see what they do next, haven't felt this way about a band since my teenage self waited for the next Kiss album or magazine to come out lol

The two "little ones" are already pretty darn good, but Abigail in the drums is awesome, what Sam can do with a guitar in his hands is unbelievable and Melody's voice is out of this world.

I'm an old - so Joan was the GOAT for hard rockin' women - but this IS a good cover with enough innovation (some licks and vocal changes) to make it their version. As an old, Joan is still my rock woman.

I'm with LVT here Joan Jett is an Icon of Rock,, and this song is fantastic,, but Liliac's cover to me is Fangtastic,,, they Definitely KILLED this,,, it probably my favorite cover they do,,, I am sure there are others who agree,,, I like their version better than the origional,, and I'm a Joan Jett fan,, Melody brings so much attitude to this song
Good cover. I agree that they did justice to the original. They are enjoying it and it shows. They are not a technical band like let’s say Lovebites, but they are talented and charming. I hope they can write, play and film their own compositions though.

The Warning are better musicians but Liliac is OK. I know that on some of the older Liliac videos it appears that the keyboard player was just posing. Liliac has gotten better and Melody's voice is a good hook but yes, I prefer The Warning and Nightwish of bands that are current.
They both are great bands but calling one fake musicians without checking them out live is crazy this band has been playing together for years no one on the warning has the tone and range Melody has in fact I don’t think anyone ever could do covers of Joan Jett Janis Joplin Grace Slick and Ronnie James Dio and sound as good or better than original. Now checkout Liliacs original song Mars live at Cummings Georgia and Queen of Hearts album and stop the jealousy..
to everyone their own.. personally i find Liliac lightyears better.. spot on instrument play and the vocals are not even close.. but again to everyone their own :)
