Yes, they are all siblings. Sam, Abigail, Melody, Ethan and Justin. Their parents had them take music lessons and learn instruments so they wouldn’t sit around playing video games on weekends. Then they started by playing covers on weekends on the Santa Monica Pier. They released a couple of albums of covers and then an EP and two albums of original music. Check out Dear Father, We Are the Children and Mars, which are all originals.
Mel absolutely slays any Joan Jett or Janis Joplin tunes. Completely nails them. I don't remember you guys reacting to her version of Piece of My Heart, but if you haven't done it yet you need to (the live one from their Cummins, GA, concert). If you like Janis, you'll be thrilled with it.

This vid is a few years old, and they have made big changes since it was released. Mel and Sam have cut their hair, the whole "vamp metal" vibe is gone, and the two youngest members aren't curiosities anymore.
