Iron Maiden "the Trooper" Justin 10 Keyboards, Ethen 12, Rythm/Bass guitar, Melody 15 lead vocals/Bass guitar, Abigail 17 drummer and Samual lead guitar/backing vocals. They were about this age when they released "The Trooper" Not necessarily a metal fan. But I can see the talent & I really like them. They used to play on the Santimolica pier. Minor correction to this comment: Ronnie James Dio never knew of Melody, as he passed away when she was about 7 years old. The name "Melodio" was, as I understand it, bestowed upon her by Vinny Appice, who was the drummer for Dio.

These guys absolutely crush every cover I’ve seen them do. They do Ronnie James Dio holy diver which is a good cover. They also do Janis Joplin the trooper from iron maiden Master of puppets crazy train the trooper from iron maiden at a slew of other covers these kids are unbelievable. Joans been around since the 70s with the Runaways and Melody is 19 and has a better stage presence this was a tribute to Joan Jett give them a couple of years they will reach or surpass her level. I am a Joan Jett fan went to about 10 of there concerts also this was shot in there basement on there new Georgia home.

Melody should have sung this originally cuz Joan Jett made it lame! In order to really appreciate this incredible family, listen to some of their originals. This old rocker chick is soooo glad to have this band to listen to my type of rock music.
Cover band! Never understood the fascination of a musician or a band covering someone else's song, especially when the song isn't that much different then the original version. Rather here original songs but if you cover a song make it feel like something completely new and fresh like it is your own song. For example Within Temptation's version of Black Sabbath's Black Sabbath song was done in their symphonic metal style therefore making the song feel like an original song. Samantha Fish turns Black Sabbath's War Pigs song to a more blues sounding song making it feel like it is one of her own. This Liliac version is minimally different from the original Joan Jett version and for myself it is very average.
Liliac started playing at the Santa Monica pier. To get the attention of passersby a song that was familiar to them worked. Once they stopped to listen to covers, liliac would do some of their original work. It makes perfect sense. Pappa Liliac (the father) stated if they could not do a cover right they wouldn't do it. If you change it to much people complain, if you don't change it people complain. The Master of Puppets cover is a great example. Some like the changes some don't. Imitation is the best form of flattery. If you change it to much, is it flattery?
I thought this was the worst cover of this track I've ever heard, it seems this group is allowing their 15 minutes of fame to ruin more and more covers and if you loved this cover over THE ORIGINAL you know NOTHING about music! That is a complete insult!!!!! Lost me as a subscriber!!!

Hey Mike and Ginger!!!! This is a 5 piece family band, they have 2 cds of covers and two original albums. They are fully independant and self labeled so theyre not large in the public eye..They have covered Ronnie James Dio, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Jefferson Airplane, The Troggs, Janis Joplin, Joan Jett, Black Sabbath, and also Ozzy Osbourne. Earlier in their career Melody sang and played Bass and the current bassist Ethan was a Rhythm Guitar player... Look a bit farther back to see their Evolution. As to an original Id suggest Chain of Thorns where Mel still plays Bass, then maybe Iron Maidens The Trooper.. as to a metallica cover, they have 2. Enter Sandman early in their career and Master of Puppets. Master was a Liliac fan poll winner for their next cover and was filmed at a metal plant that built Abigails drum riser.. The lead singer Melody is big follower of Rodney Jame Dio. He (before his passing) and his wife called her Melodio. The ages of the kids are 13 - 22, and started playing on the California piers and now live in Georgia. Both parents are from Transylvania (Romania) and met here is the states. Liliac in Romanian means bat.
Queen of Hearts is the title of their recent album of which all are original songs. Suggest if more is needed in information and songs head to the Liliac web site.
Minor correction to this comment: Ronnie James Dio never knew of Melody, as he passed away when she was about 7 years old. The name "Melodio" was, as I understand it, bestowed upon her by Vinny Appice, who was the drummer for Dio.

These guys absolutely crush every cover I’ve seen them do. They do Ronnie James Dio holy diver which is a good cover. They also do Janis Joplin the trooper from iron maiden Master of puppets crazy train the trooper from iron maiden at a slew of other covers these kids are unbelievable. They are definitely going places.

Sorry, but honestly to say, Liliac is not even close to Joan's level.
Joans been around since the 70s with the Runaways and Melody is 19 and has a better stage presence this was a tribute to Joan Jett give them a couple of years they will reach or surpass her level. I am a Joan Jett fan went to about 10 of there concerts also this was shot in there basement on there new Georgia home.

Melody should have sung this originally cuz Joan Jett made it lame! In order to really appreciate this incredible family, listen to some of their originals. This old rocker chick is soooo glad to have this band to listen to my type of rock music.
Cover band! Never understood the fascination of a musician or a band covering someone else's song, especially when the song isn't that much different then the original version. Rather here original songs but if you cover a song make it feel like something completely new and fresh like it is your own song. For example Within Temptation's version of Black Sabbath's Black Sabbath song was done in their symphonic metal style therefore making the song feel like an original song. Samantha Fish turns Black Sabbath's War Pigs song to a more blues sounding song making it feel like it is one of her own. This Liliac version is minimally different from the original Joan Jett version and for myself it is very average.
Liliac started playing at the Santa Monica pier. To get the attention of passersby a song that was familiar to them worked. Once they stopped to listen to covers, liliac would do some of their original work. It makes perfect sense. Pappa Liliac (the father) stated if they could not do a cover right they wouldn't do it.
If you change it to much people complain, if you don't change it people complain. The Master of Puppets cover is a great example. Some like the changes some don't.
Imitation is the best form of flattery. If you change it to much, is it flattery?
I thought this was the worst cover of this track I've ever heard, it seems this group is allowing their 15 minutes of fame to ruin more and more covers and if you loved this cover over THE ORIGINAL you know NOTHING about music! That is a complete insult!!!!! Lost me as a subscriber!!!

They had the number one selling album on Amazon’s rock charts and also a number one single on Amazon’s rock charts and reach number 29 on iTunes albums chart so obviously it’s more than 15 minutes of fame do you homework
