I have just made this and had it with bacon....well it was decadent!😋 The aroma of the cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg just lingers in your mouth. I can have this as a dessert...thank you for sharing!
I use a thick sliced white bread. It's labeled differently by manufacturers. Common example are: French Toast Bread, Thick Sliced Bread, Texas Toast Bread, etc. Thanks for watching!
I use clarified butter, it will not burn, butter has a low smoke point. I have this for breakfast every morning minus the sugar, vanilla and spices, I like a savory taste
Soul Food Cooking I made these today and they came out perfect. Thank you for your simple yet detailed instructions. They help so much with a beginner cook like me 😊
I always see people soak the bread for different lengths of time. Some do it for 10-15 seconds. But I see you did it for only a couple of seconds. Does it matter?
A long soak results in a cake like texture while a very quick soak results in a crunchy exterior and soft breadlike interior. Both are great. Thanks for watching!!

What brand bread was used? The slices are rather thick and seems best for french toast.
nishani3 for the specific brand, idk but this bread is known as “French toast bread”. It should be in the bread aisle.
@@kjb3221 thank you👍🏾 Ive not seen it before. Will look for it next time I shop
nishani3 Texas toast works good also

What's a good temp?
😋😋😋
Ahhh yeah
Thanks
Happy Mother’s Day
What temp for the pan?
Hey. What heat should the frying pan be on?
The heat output of appliances varies greatly by manufacturer and model. I would start at medium and go from there :-) Thanks for watching!!

i have a question, is nutmeg optional?
Could we use almond milk instead of regular milk?
Great question! Yes you can but be careful because it absorbs quickly. Thanks for watching!!!
Yeah this is real easy . Didnt know french toast needed nutmeg and salt. Smh
u don’t cook with salt on a regular??
@@way2deep446😂
Hahaha
@@way2deep446not in no damn french toast 🤦🏿
I always use nutmeg and cinnamon also essence

On high or medium heat ?
Depends on the BTU output of your appliance but I would start on medium to be safe.
I live in Denver Colorado
Dankpods reference???
Cinnamon French toast
dude you should let the bread absorb the milk and egg mixture, let it soak for few minutes before frying! omg!!😮
Thank you Beyoncé
this intro reminds me of a certain green ipad...

Mine always turn out soggy 😩
Just a light quick dip will prevent the sogginess. Thanks for watching!!
@ Thank u
Karq?
Yeah, but you don't say how high the flame or temp should be!
Cooking with egg, I wouldn't go over medium, if you smell singed hair, it's definitely too hot.
Where do you live

Competent video. No nonsense. No flamboyant beta soy milk drinker.
Thanks for the kind words!
