    The comment about the MT-07 being enough for the street should be said in all naked-bike/hyper-naked reviews. Also MCN, absolutely love these Neevesy reviews. I haven't watched MCN this much ever.

      My husband has an FZ-07 and I've got an MT-09. Even when we trade bikes I still have a riot on that bike. Sure it's "slow", but got damn its got so much personality and rides like a much faster bike.

    It's expensive but only half as expensive as some harley davidsons.. It's also faster than almost all supercars (at least in a straight line). Good value for money imo.

      HeyAddieImTojo that's an interesting idea. The more I look at the bike, the more I think that painting the radiation shrouds black or possibly replacing them with carbon fibre covers (after removing the wings) would vastly help to improve the looks. I just need to get one...

    I’ve had my streetfighter V4S now a little more than 5 months , it replaced my Yamaha MT10 SP which was a great bike , I don’t do wheelies, the Yamaha had other ideas and they weren’t predictable , sometimes it would sometimes it wouldn’t and usually it would when you didn’t want it to like overtaking a car for instance. The streetfighter is totally predictable in that area just loads of forward motion exactly how I like it. Build quality is just on another level and like neevsey I just keep looking at it, fuel consumption is worse, I’ve had to buy a small petrol can on our trip up to Yorkshire later this year. I absolutely love my streetfighter in all other respects apart from no cruise control. Is it worth the money? To me yes.

    One of my favorite bikes was a 2001 R1 and the mechanical aspect of that bike in comparison and also my getting older and preferring a more upright style these days. I am a little put off with the ABS, ride by wire, anti wheelie and so on.

    Streetfighter's are SUPPOSED to be angry! ;-) I'm a Ducati guy but I'm pretty sure the Super Duke R is probably the right SF for someone who's looking for a street... fighter (someone like me who's too far from a track to have that 'safe' outlet for a bike that can get your license revoked in first gear)... but I still want the SFv4s.
    IMO Ducati is doing a nice safe thing throttling torque in 1,2, and 3rd gears... but they should have a "shenanigans" mode that dials that safety margin back for those of us who like to have a bit more lively experience.

      Remove the windscreen on your multistrada and you have a nice naked?

  • @tripnut5702
    @tripnut5702 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    So the wings only come into play at really high speed and your body position will probably make just as much difference and at those speeds you will by hanging on against the wind. Price: all the fancy stuff is the same as a Tuono which can be bought for £7k less and then you have a proper V4 but have to put up with switch gear made in toytown.

    6:10 "A fully faired bike always looks more beautiful than a naked." Not always. That gold motor and high and tight exhaust make me weak in the knees; the Panigale is utterly pedestrian by comparison. There's considerably more "design" on display in the Streetfighter.

    This was such a good video. Outside of actually riding it, nothing comes close to the level of detail you just provided here. Amazing work. Regarding the heat issue, I heard that it's designed to shut off the rear bank of cylinders when stationary, so that it won't fry your family jewels anymore, but I'm not sure how's that going to affect the reliability on the long run. It also makes the bike sound worse. With that said, I don't think I'll say goodbye to my tuono factory for a streetfigher, I just love it too much. And it sounds so much better in my opinion.

      Halil Ertan Id say the reliability of the ducati may be better than the aprilia. Not that aprilia’s are unreliable, but the valve train on the v4 is quite finicky. Saying this as a Rsv4 owner. Valve checks are very often... it’s a garage queen. Many owners have valves out of spec every time they open up the engine even after just a few thousand miles.

  • @drewiediggler1
    @drewiediggler1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Decreasing torque maps to prevent wheelies . A V4 engine which is much smoother and more civilised than the twins. A more sanitised V4 panigale for 2020 too.. Is this the Audi influence by any chance? Going to spoil the brand.

    • @ceesmvanwijk
      @ceesmvanwijk 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Google: "Streetfighter V4 power curve" and you'll see there's plenty of torque at higher revs. This is the only naked with a counter rotating crankshaft. Therefore it's harder to wheelie.

    Can we have a “normal” , “average”, “affordable” bike as a test bike??
    These type of bikes are beautiful, fast , gorgeous but it’s 95% of us will never can afford it... it’s a typical yuppie bike for the 1% spoiled tw..ts

      Or maybe those who have worked their ball off perhaps? Why is it that some people think that anyone who has an expensive bike or car has in some way been given it? I'm reasonably well off as are many of my work colleagues and I'm fairly sure that I've worked harder than you can ever imagine. I've also had a few Ducati's, Porsches and AMG's.

      Mark Chisholm are you saying we don’t work hard enough? Or you just take it personally for some reason...?
      Everybody knows what I was talking about...average joes can’t afford a bike like this. It’s just not meant for us. When a company sells a bike for 20k we can’t say it’s for the masses it’s for who can afford it, same as Ferrari. No one needs a Ferrari but you buy it for a few reasons: to show off as status symbol and to enjoy fully on a really few occasions considering speed limits and maintenance and running costs insurance etc.
      Facts are facts...

      If you have a job and save some money you can finance pretty much any bike on earth, stop being a cry baby.

      ShakeyBurne that’s a very simple way to think about jobs and savings... well done! Such a inspiring approach towards finances

      @@lasttraintovegas7189 Rubbish. I'm an engineer not some high flying financial exec. It's about what you spend your money on. Flash phone contract, few nights out on the piss and a pair of name brand jeans would cover the monthly cost. If you wanted a bike like this you could afford it if you were prepared to adjust your lifestyle.

    Ugliest Ducati ever, I think
    In fact most bikes in this class are mingers, apart from the Tuono
