Making this exact flight myself in a month, after having not flown for over a decade. This is incredibly informative and is exactly what i needed to prepare myself, thanks!
I’ve flown SQ LAX to Singapore many times. Will be flying this flight for the very first time, so this is very helpful! Looks like I will miss SQ’s silver cutlery!
In the future -- for every Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft of all airlines (including United Airlines) parked at the gate with 2 jetbridges --, the gate MUST ALWAYS use BOTH jetbridges for passenger loading and unloading to ease the passenger traffic for both boarding and deplaning processes.
Has been premier member of United but I must say the food is not so different in Polaris class compared to the one in Economy; the only difference is the containers/utensils. I will be flying to Singapore on the same route this Xmas, and surprise, surprise, the United outbound flight to Singapore is way more expensive than the SQ one, so I was forced(?) to choose SQ instead. Let's see how much better SQ can be lol (finger crossed)
@@alexanderzhou9058 Not at all. UA has a number of Mandarin-speaking crew serving routes to Mandarin- speaking countries. (DL/AA also have Mandarin speaking crew members) While you could argue English should be the lingua franca in Singapore, a significant portion of the residents there speak Mandarin daily, at work or at home.
Even when the United Airlines Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft is parked at the gate with 2 jetbridges, the gate SHOULD use BOTH jetbridges for passenger loading and unloading to ease the passenger traffic for both boarding and deplaning processes.
Is this under basic economy? I saw they have a few different category for economy. Just wondering if all options have the same number of food provided.
7:13 Wah ada pesawat Citilink Airlines Dari indonesia bertemu dengan pesawat United Airlines❤ Semoga united airlines bisa mendarat di indonesia tahun depanya..
And by the way , you should have flown Singapore Airlines instead from Singapore to SFO , instead of United , since at the ending part of the video , you said that it was disappointing.
Cost is the main consideration for me, and I can only ever book flights for personal trips a few weeks in advance, when SQ seat availability is usually very limited. I don’t mind flying SQ if it’s for business travel that’s paid for, but definitely not otherwise

It’s Wired that they spoke Mandarin on the announcement 8:12.

I enjoyed UAL and Singapore Air.

Catering actually isn't that bad! (by United standards)
That’s true, but after being used to Delta catering, this felt way less impressive 😅
Great report. Go easy on the cran apple though my man, too much sugar.
Thanks for watching! On the CranApple…wait till you see the upcoming series of videos from my latest trip 😂
8:12 why did they spoke Mandarin on the announcement on a Singapore-San Francisco flight? Why did they spoke Mandarin on the plane?
It would be very weird for them not to
Because Mandarin is one of the primary languages of Singapore. So it would make sense To speak in Mandarin as well as Tamil, plus English
super avit

All Standard Economy Seats regardless of Fare Class include the same meals.
When showing the seat legroom please mention how tall are you!!, good video, im making lax-tokyo on February, using the 787-10
Implementing that in the next Flight Experience video today! Hope you have a great flight with ANA!
Does the safety video have audio for non-English speakers?
Yep, kind of.
