Have you noticed any BLATANTLY obvious differences between the lighter-skinned Bharatiyans of north-west Bharata and the very dark-skinned Tamils?
If that is NOT due to the migration of Aryans into north-west Bharata, then what is the explanation?

50:52 Dear Sir, this is an excellent and balanced survey of the state of Rigvedic chronology.
However I must say Dhruva as a star is not found in Rigveda and early Brahmanas. In older text dhruva means stationary or something/someone is forever. For example Prithvi is Dhruva (stationary) Or Vishnu is Dhruva (forever).
Dhruva as a star is something we see in Grihyasutras where husband is to show Dhruva and then Arundhati to his newlywed wife.
The earliest mention of polestar in modern western world was by Shakespeare about 500 years before 2100 when it will be closest to celestial pole. Thus first Gruhyasutra can be dated +/- 500 years from 2830 BCE.
Considering Shatapatha Brahmana doesn’t mention Dhruva as star but can be dated to 2900 BCE because Krittika rose in dead east throughout the year, extant Gruhyasutras should be dated after 2900 BCE.
In summary- there is no Dhruva Star in Rigveda. If I missed it please specify a hymn and verse where it can be found in any of mantra portion of all Vedas.

    • @vasukinagabhushan
      @vasukinagabhushan ปีที่แล้ว +5

Rigveda does mention Dhruva star. You have misunderstood.
Here are a few examples of verses from the Rigveda that mention the Dhruva star:
Rigveda 1.24.9: "Let us go with praise to the palace of Dhruva, where the Seven Rishis go, where the shining ones go."
Rigveda 1.164.3: "The star which shines in the front of the heavens, that which is radiant and has many rays, the Pole Star around which all other stars revolve, to that we offer our oblations."
Rigveda 5.40.5: "May we be guided by the Pole Star, the ruler of the sky, the immortal, the pure and the great, who shines in the highest heaven."

After some time kaliyug got exhausted and came to king asking for more places, king thought kaliyug demands would be unending, so king had to gave him gold(wealth) to live on. Gold(wealth) is always required for kaliyug to continue its living in above mentioned four places. What a enlightening story

Some things are obvious. Why do Indians call use the word Adivasi which means first or original inhabitants. If they were there first that means the northern Indians came from outside India. Aryas and Dasyus most probably refers to the battles between the Invading Aryans or Vedic culture and the older Tamil based culture that one time extended further north. Thus the smoldering resentment of the Tamils towards the Sanskrit speaking Brahmin culture.
All this much older than proposed.
The Vedas were chanted orally and written down much later.

I didn't ask a question, nor do I have much confusion about the recent DNA research. A large migration of steppe people into India in the second millennium b.c. was almost a certainty before Reich's team went to work. Now it's beyond any doubt
The only people in these discussions who are unaware of that fact are Hindus, who'd prefer not to look at what they don't want to see

This is like taking to Christian fundamentalists who want to think the earth is flat.
The debate is only continuing among Hindus who'd prefer to believe in their fairy tales.
And the DNA of those steppe migrants are highly overrepresented among the upper castes
What's at work here is something called cognitive bias; believing what confirms our preexisting ideas without much scepticism, and discarding that which goes against our preexisting beliefs without much consideration.
These panel discussions are so absurd. The most frustrating thing about them, is that the evidence for an Indo European migration or invasion is never stated completely or accurately.
Notice how debates never happen. Opposing points of view aren't welcome, because those arguing for an out of India theory would look ridiculous
