thanks for including my beeps and boops! filtering before the delay and mixing back in is something I do in my own productions to create that tonal difference in the wash. the module sounds great and looks very performative.
Time sync! I got mine a couple of weeks ago now. I love it. It has such a focused and somewhat minimal design in the best way. I'm glad that it's not maxxed out with features, leaving room for all those lovely sliders. It's so good at textural effects along with lovely melodic and rhythmic repeats. Truly exciting.
TIME SYNC! I love delays, and multi tap delays in particular. I keep thinking about trying to find space for this one. Great stuff as always, Ben, thank you!
I really enjoyed it more than using more regularly triggered sounds and a CV sequencer to VCA levels to do that sort of thing. Playfulness of the sliders and simple input I think.
...time sync.....your videos are always very thorough and sonically exciting. It must be difficult, to spend as much time with your guitar/bass as you really seem to flourish in the modular world. I'm a perpetual novice in both worlds so it isn't an issue, although the eurorack environment takes more of my attention these days. This is a lovely module effect.
As someone who's been playing classical guitar for 25 years and got into euro 10 years ago, It can be a difficult balance, but I like to incorporate both into pieces, but it's challenging, compositionally and mix wise, which is why very few people probably do it (genuinely try to incorporate acoustic and synth/analog instruments together in a musical way that isn't just for an effect or sample or something).
Thanks for the demo. Seems similar to the Verbos Multi Delay. Ben, have you ever used the Verbos? If so, what are the similarities and differences? Cheers
hopefully the video makes that clear. But it's the level of the delay tap. So you're creating a custom mix of all the delay taps at the levels you set. There's an example at 6:17 that should be clear how it works rhythmically.
"clean internet fidelity" what do you mean? Just the video quality itself? I record on the camera (SD card) audio is recorded separately into a DAW and then I edit in software.
nice video! dont be scared to turn the feedback up! then turn that time down and wiggle that spread! really hear the voice of the karplus strong squeal out of control!! amazing synth. great job! great explanation of the rhythmic and musical possibilities! but try letting it really sing with digital feedback! its gorgeous and terrifying!!
Its cool but doesn't seem that revolutionary. Be a lot cooler if the tap faders where voltage controllable. The Strymon delays sound a lot better in my opinion.
For my tastes the proclivity towards feedback squeals is a bit of dealbreaker, which is a shame, because otherwise I love much of what this delay can do.
I only watch you when I'm about to sleep.... just like knobcon hahahahahaahhahah ^^^insert sk.e shitttily made eurorack horror stuff .. not your stuff your stuff is sick!!

Thanks Ben for featuring my small patch. Like the way you integrated the video. Really cool effect with the Time Machine.
Any time! A pleasure to have some nice sounds from you to feature.

thank you, I love them too.
So many beautiful delays in eurorack. This one looks especially fun and you make it sound sublime.
Looks very cool...thanks for the vid!
Thanks for watching!
The dynamic designer section had me slowly nodding yes. Brill

TI.. t..t.ttt...ti.tiimmme SYNC. that looks like fun Ben.
thanks, I've definitely been having lots of fun with it.
Time Sync
It is an interesting delay. Seems to be very different from basically all other delays out there.
Thanks for the demo. Seems similar to the Verbos Multi Delay. Ben, have you ever used the Verbos? If so, what are the similarities and differences? Cheers
I haven't used the Verbos so can't comment on that one.
I had the verbos, and it has a very dark sound. i miss it sometimes. it has a good saturation but shit reverb. this sounds cleaner
I like the idea of sacrificing more real estate for interactive delay design, but there was potential to explore on stereo imagery a bit more imo.
I mean the module, not the video, btw ☺️
Are the sliders for changing pitch of the speciffic delay tap or probability of it occuring?!
hopefully the video makes that clear. But it's the level of the delay tap. So you're creating a custom mix of all the delay taps at the levels you set. There's an example at 6:17 that should be clear how it works rhythmically.
Before I buy I’m wondering how one tap is collapsing in mono?
How does it produce a stéréo image?
Thanks!
it doesn't. Left in is processed to left out, right in is processed to right out.
Thanks!
What type of video switcher or editing do you use to get such clean internet fidelity? I finding that the ATEM mini pro doesn't sound clear at all.
"clean internet fidelity" what do you mean? Just the video quality itself?
I record on the camera (SD card) audio is recorded separately into a DAW and then I edit in software.
Wouldn't it be perfect if, apart from the universal feedback, every time division had its own feedback knob?....
😍
At times, this sounded a bit like the Soma Labs Cosmos.
I haven't chance to play with one of those, definitely appealed when it came out though
