Def want this. I do wish there was a switch to determine whether OFF leaves the trail or cuts it. But that's not a deal breaker by any means. Love the sound and the thoughtful design and playability.
HARD SYNC! Great stuff as always, really showing musical examples of every one of the effects. Love how you took the time to run every one of the patches through each effect to give an idea of how different things will sound through it. Thank you, Ben!
Using a touch controller or joystick is a really good way to get performance controls on any FX module. This thing is rad. I like how the jacks are at the top.
As always, your onscreen text fills in info that’s necessary for understanding exactly what’s happening in the patch + manipulation, but not necessary to get a sense of what the module does.
Do the risers use anything sonically from the input? Doesn't sound like it. Wouldn't that same riser sound get old fast? Sounds like the module is generating it's own sound while its HPF attenuates the mix? The other effects are actually using the input audio like any other effect but the riser seems meh. It would be way more interesting at the price point to time stretch the audio input to generate the riser. Am I missing something?
Yeah that's a great sound ... the more important answer that the specific modules (but maybe not the answer you want) is the patching which was saw, pulse and sub outs from a VCO (PWM from an LFO on the pulse is nice here) mixed into a filter that saturates at the input stage and an envelope to the filter cut off. Replicating that might mean taking a VCO saw and pulse outs into a mixer, splitting the pulse into a sub generator or clock divider for the sub, adding the sub back to the mixer. Then patching to the filter. The quicker answer as to specific modules it was the SoundForce uDCO (that can mix it's waves on the module, which is really handy!) into the Eon Procyon filter. The envelope modulating that filter will have been Fuji from Vostok Instruments and the LFO to PWM on the uDCO will have been ochd.
Hello, thanks for the question and indeed I can answer. The most important answer is that ... it's not important what modules it was really. As there's nothing 'too' specific about that patch. The bass sound is an oscillator that is mixing a saw, PWM (LFO modulated pulse width) and square sub going into a low pass filter. The low pass filter has both an envelope to the FM and a more attenuated LFO so it sort of wobbles a bit as the LFO fades away. In terms of specific modules though it was the SoundForce uDCO (that lets you mix the waves on board), ochd was the LFO for the PWM and for the filter (two different LFO outs) that went into the Eon Procyon which is a saturating Korg MS-20 type filter. The envelope to filter FM was the Vostok Instruments Fuji and the mentioned ochd LFO to frequency spread on the filter too. Give a try with other things too, VCO or (VCOs) with waves mixed in a mixer, into a filter and if you need it another mixer for the filter modulation so you can blend an LFO and an envelope to filter cut off modulation. Hope that helps!

What a hard sync video! The examples were so well crafted, Ben. Amazing work.
Thank you! Really appreciate it :)
Thanks for the video!! (I can’t help but see that Glasgow Synth Guild filter!!)

Thanks a lot for all these great musical examples!
That riser looks like so much fun. The rest of it is just icing on the cake...
A module that is easy to use and made for live, Small hp yet not cramped, wtf is happening?
This is def a module I will get. It seems so handy! Thanks for the great explainer video with oodles of examples.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks.
This is great! Thanks for designing patches that highlight the effects and showing other effects impact on the patches.
Thanks! I thought it was a better way to highlight everything and add some musical variety.
this is what a eurorack system needs to spice up live performances! super cool demo and module!

Could replace a load of stuff in my live case with this - love it!
ok this module is really cool
KInda what i always wanted DataBender to give me, but never properly accomplished (because my lack of skill)

Great video breakdown Ben - it’s like an OT in 6hp! Looking forward to getting my racked up

Cool, was waiting for a demo. Hard sync as well.
checked in ;)
27:43 Nice... I love the cinematic brassy bass. What kind of vco/module are you using for this? Thx

Sounds awesome, looks very nice to play 🤔 thinking ....
Good stuff!
that DnB patch 🤤
:)
very smart design, indeed.
awesome demo. :)
Thanks!
Ahhh DHL hurry up, I want mine yesterday!
@divkid Can you tell me what module do you use to do the rich annalog bass line at 25:25 min ? Thank you very muchhhh

@@DivKidthank you so much for the time you are taking!
I love what you are doing every time I watch one of your video ❤
thank you, I really appreciate that
Modbap modular and happy nerding should come up with a firmware update
quero ver algum de vcs chegar aqui no brasil falando Oxi Meta
Thanks dear for the free Musik in TH-cam Studio
you're welcome
Rad
This channel has spoiled me. I’ve been waiting for a demo since this popped up on Modgrid and Oxi released theirs and I was like: 😑
That's what I'm talking about, a cure from having to buy an rmx-1000 ... 🎉🎉🎉
Oh Hell!!... I'm supposed to be on a buying holiday...
Oh well...
😍😍😍😍😍😍
off topic Q: do you feel comfortable doing a vid of your desert island modules?
I'm happy to talk about what I use a lot etc. Got some similar ideas for videos.
