Agreed. It's a unique build and I always liked the FK2's and their more compact/coupe-like look over the FK8. I think it's really just the red accent pieces on the exterior that make it look a little cheap, and I would not have done YellowSpeed coilovers, especially spending that kind of money on a build. That machine deserves a good set of 2 or 3-way coilovers. Then again, I'm a suspension nerd, and that's something that can be changed in the future. Overall, it's a gnarly machine and I commend the owner!
Billy looks like hes just realised hes 60k deep and he would be better off in the 2.5k corsa c turbo from a few weeks back, thats the face you make before the tears come
I grew up in the days when traction control was not on cars so have my own traction control installed in my brain. This would drive me nuts, that TC is like the wife is saying slow down all the time.

Can't help but feel a well driven standard one would show this thing a clean pair of heels along these roads it looks to be just a bit to stiff for B-roads and traction looks to be a big issue.
Always did like this model, looks great in white! Wish Honda had stuck with this model and the quad pipes instead of the three pipes and the current shape

You definitely want some form of TC with that power on a type R, just needs to be mapped better, it's acting like the stock TC on my type R, constantly cutting power and too intrusive, just needs a better setup.
Met this car in person and let me tell you, the sound is unreal. Can just hear it's properly built. Angry. Dream Automotive is doing their thing for sure
i would never spend that money (i'd say 40k) in a car to just have less then 500whp on a fwd. if he spent the same on an old civic with a kswap i would be looking at an awd 1000hp fully built car

Owning an FK8 i can tell you all you need is a cooler, downpipe, intake and hondata...it wakens it up and then you not overdoing that power to the front wheels and disturbing the handling.
Have to agree. I'm about to install prl hvi intake, a titanium turbo inlet pipe and a invidia R400 exhaust and prl intercooler to my fk8. After a remap I should be looking at about 400bhp which I think is about right for these cars.
It's a sweet built and looks awesome too. It's a shame about the traction control issue. Hopefully he got it sorted. Only thing I didn't like was the exhaust note
i could get one of my dream builds done with like 20 k, hell you can get a full on race car with the kind of money he's spending, and from what he said he doesn't even track this, really questionable investment even for a car guy

Syvecs traction strategies are so clever unless you have a long time on the dyno room or road tuning you’ll may end up with a car that’s being more help than good. Slip percentages could be changed to be a bit more wild or get a button and have it on a switch and have it switchable. Weirdly this car although it would scramble it would likely feel faster all the way off. Non the less it’s an epic build and there is super simple room for improvements only there. Racecal and Romain are second to non so I’m sure that can be looks at. That being said between YAW control and clamping I’m not sure how much control you have on a SYVECS on an FK2? Skys the limit if you have the inputs left and add the right sensors though. Great vid none the less Ricky and nice owner too 👍🙌👌😎

Traction was cutting in like crazy even at higher speeds, can the syvecs tc be turned off ? Looks very stiff too. Amazing build possible needs a few tweaks to be more enjoyable, maybe 50 whp less and tc full off ?

The car has adaptive suspension as standard, which will be a quality setup as seen on other high powered ones on this channel. I think if you’re upgrading it then you atleast need KW’s or Nitron’s properly setup to really get the best from the car.

Wow for 55k you can get a very low mileage f80 m3 and stage 2 it!!! Then the correct wheels are driven, it can be manual and more fun too!!! Also it would destroy this in a straight line!! Those f80's can push 550 to 600bhp with a good stage 2!!

The traction control is either just set up too sensitive or the builder/tuner is trying to save its driveshafts and gearbox
Sort the Syvecs & tune the suspension setup a bit and it would be an absolute weapon.

Wow for 55k you can get a very low mileage f80 m3 and stage 2 it!!! Then the correct wheels are driven, it can be manual and more fun too!!! Also it would destroy this in a straight line!! Those f80's can push 550 to 600bhp with a good stage 2!!
