  • Not often that you see three D4's pulling 40 scrapers at one time. Members brought out two D4 7U's and a D4D with their Caterpillar 40 scrapers to show us what they can do. There's a D6 mixed in. You can see that some are straight tractors, and some are setup as bulldozers.
A big THANK YOU to everyone that brought their equipment and operated it for us!
    Enjoy!

My dad also has a 1950's D4 dozer and a scraper. I remember seeing the scraper used on the farm as a young kid, but it's sat idle for decades now. Hopefully will see the light of day again soon. The D4 also mostly sits idle, but on rare occasion gets used for some dozer work around the farm site.

I really mean it too. I can't be there in person but thanks to everyone I get a front row seat.

Dan, glad you are enjoying them. We know not everyone can attend these shows, but want to allow as many as we can to enjoy these very cool machines.

Hope to see another large Caterpillar gathering in the Texas area. My D47U has the tank and set up for a 40 pan and hope to find one close to me. Awesome display and playground.

Vance! I hope you find that opportunity too, if you are looking for a 40, check with our members on the forum at www.acmoc.org, they are plugged into that kind of thing :)

My Dad ran the same configuration except ran a D6, don’t know what size of pan he ran. He moved a lot of dirt with that equipment back in the early Fifties.
