I remember watching the post fight videos where pacman says to dela hoya "you are still my idol" even after defeating him or even after getting KO'd by marquez, he smiled and thank the guy for a good fight. Pac's humbleness is one of reasons why I started cheering him on ever since. For me he is the greatest in his generation and arguably one of the best in boxing history the one and only 8 world division champion, pound for pound king. He wasn't just great because of his skill inside the ring but also because of his humanity outside the ring. A true quality of a people's champion.

2021 - Manny showed that he can still fight with prime fighters. Though he lost, his passion to fight and give a good fight is still visible. I didn't felt bad even after he lost.

Pacquiao is one of the greatest boxers of all time. That goes without saying. He may not exactly be top 1, but he is up there. But other than that, he also is one of the greatest athletes of all time. He has helped and changed the lives of millions of people, especially in the Philippines. He is a symbol of hardwork and grit. He literally came from nothing and worked his way up. He has showed his countrymen that poverty is not a hindrance for anyone to follow their dreams. When he finally decides to leave the sport, his legacy will not be of money, jewelries, cars or any of his material possessions. It will be of love, passion, hardwork, courage and inspiration. He has left footprints in time that will continue to live on, even after his lifetime. That is the greatest achievement any man could ever have.

I will always have this certain level of awe when watch ingrained Manny. He’s not a fighter, he’s a boxer. A true sportsman. He doesn’t taunt his opponents nor does he revel when they get injured. His skills and instincts reveal him as a pure artist. I’m always impressed with his focus and composure in the ring. I seriously doubt you’ll find another boxing legend as uniquely humble as Manny. Given all this, had he been the same size as several heavyweight champs, I’d like to think he’d win over the likes of Ali, Frazier, Forman and especially Tyson (who had no composure at all). But thats just me.

I'm a Filipina in USA. I don't normally watch Boxing, but am proud to hear a small co-Filipino 135 lbs. Pacquiao triumph in boxing. The greatness of Manny Pacquiao,is legendary and known in the whole wide world my idol forever in boxing
Many may not agree but to me there is more to being a GOAT boxer. He is an epitome of hard work, grit and perseverance. Considering he came from poverty (I’m talking about barely scraping by poor), turned his life around. Not only has he elevated his status in life, he’s also given back many times over to the underprivileged in the Philippines. You can criticize him for some of his other endeavors but you’d have to agree he’s admirable in the impact he’s made in boxing.
Damn, this is the first time that I watched a video explaining the punches from Pacquiao, and that made me idolized him even more. He is really a great fighter.
