Sorry to hear about your Dad Cody. Best wishes from mine to yours. I pray to the lord of all that I am able to die in such a manner, surrounded by those who truly care about me. In the end it's the best sendoff a man can get. May he reside in the house of the lord from here to fore and greet you as you enter.

Sorry to hear of your loss brother!! I live over here in ca, I love the content your putting out. The time is nearer, and it’s getting more clearer especially over here. But I really wanted to say I think your videos are helpful I’ve been thinking about doing a sawmill and I got the book you recommended on essential gardening, a lot of what you said about the mark of the beast seems closer and closer so thanks for sharing that. I don’t agree with salvation through works of the law, but I don’t believe you think God necessarily save through obeying them, I’m just not sure what you believe when it comes to following the old covenant laws and how they’ve talked about its replacement in the gospels, Romans, Colossians Galatians Hebrews. I know the Spirit will give us eyes to understand if not in this life in eternity

I've quietly watched your channel for years now. I would like to express my condolences to you. I know that you've probably heard all the great things people have to say but I would like to add this, many are called but few are chosen. You are an exceptional teacher of men. You set a fine example and you help fill the gaps for young men who may not have had a father present to teach them these life skills and wisdom. You have an anointing on your life and your ministry through this channel has had a profound impact on my life and the lives of thousands of other men. Thank you for that.

"I didn't know what else to do. I'd rather just go back to work, so I did."
I've often found that going out and working in the garage is the best thing to do when I feel overwhelmed. Doing something I know how to do, something where I get to build things or fix things, where I can see tasks being accomplished is the best way to work through mentally difficult times. I think this is why guys need a shop.

He is responsible for bringing me closer to God as I had allowed myself to stray. Seeing a vulnerable side, while my heart is very sad for his loss, only further solidifies my decision to use him as a role model in my travels. God bless.

Cody, it's a huge blessing to pass while with your children, in your own house, in your own bed. With your children praying over you and with you. Take it as a good sign. Time will make your sadness go away. 21 years ago, my mom passed in my arms, and less than 24 hours later I had to take my heavy truck road test, in order to qualify for a firefighter position. I don't know how I did it, but I did. The Lord gives us strength when we need it most. Don't be shy to ask Him for strength.

It was just a couple weeks ago when you were so kind and generous to offer a reply to a comment I left about my own Dad passing away unexpectedly this year (the cabbie if you remember). I can empathise with losing a Dad + Mom but just something I remember hearing about, re: the death of a loved one - for ones own well being -
Grieve for a Week, Mourn for a Year & then begin to move forward - emotionally/physically/mentally/spiritually, otherwise, we end up, not truly living ourselves!
My Grandma never allowed herself to properly recover after the death of my Grandad (he was 54 & she 48) & ended up miserable for the rest of her life.
It's early days, still for both of you & I truly pray that you will allow God/Holy Spirit, who is THE Comforter, to hold you, both (separately of course!?!) when you just, plain need a HUG!!!

Hugs brother. That is a heavy loss. You're a good son, and it's clear he was a good father.
It's good for you to take some time to grieve. It's a process and it's a labor of love that goes on and ebs and flows in loss as it did in life.
The memories go on and the pain of love goes on. And the healing from the wound of this loss goes on. As it should.
It's part of love. And that love lives on.

Oh what a joy it is to know that they are in the arms of The Father. As much as we miss them, we’d never wish them back to this broken world. We’ll see them again. Prayers for you, my brother. I'm so sorry you know this pain. My Dad was a master mechanic who grew up rebuilding hot rods and retired as a diesel mechanic. He didn't want me to be a mechanic, both his elbows, knees and his back all had surgeries (His back 7 surgery's) on them over the years from tearing tendons, bulging and slipping discs and he had nerve damage from impact drivers, his feet burned like fire because of the damage in his back and had very little feeling in his hands. He always told me son save your body. I turned out as a electronics tech. He was in so much pain the last few years of his life. I spent 2 years thinking every day would be his last. preparing myself for the time. But 6 months and 25 days ago. November 21, 2021 6:43PM God gave him mercy. Mom, all 3 of my sisters and me held his hands with the room full of his loved ones. My hand was on his chest as he took his last breath. I'm thankful we all were there with him.
Me and Dad worked on everything together. the last thing we was working on was an old ford 8n tractor but he died before we could figure it out. once I was able I started to finish the job we started together. I worked on it for days and couldn't do it. I said, "Dad I just can't fix it." It hurt because I knew he could have done it. I spent another week or two getting new parts and tinkering on it and the day came I got it running. "I did it, Dad. I did it." with tears in my eyes I finished my dad's project. I was overwhelmed with emotion. not a day goes by that I don't miss him. I would do anything to fix one more thing with him. It will always hurt truthfully, the loss will always hurt the same. but every day that goes by I know more and more I'll be ok he raised a son to be a man and I am thankful for every moment I had with him. One of the last things he said was "Ben is not ok. But he is going to be ok." He was right. I was not prepared no matter how much I thought I was. but every day that goes by I know more and more I'll be ok. and anyone who has lost their dad. You not ok. but you will be. I am thankful Dad is no longer hurting. I am thankful for the life he had and the many things we did together. The bible says when we are alive we are body and soul. and when we pass our soul leaves that body. I know when I pass. My soul will leave this body and he is waiting on the other side. We will get to see them again. Dad's death is not a goodbye. It's just a see you in heaven. That gives me peace.

Your father was and will be forever proud of you and who you have become. Now he is surrounded by eternal love and lightness. I knew by your intro when you said "and sisters" that your heart had opened up to all of us mortals who are traveling through this world together. Thank you for your honesty in this difficult time for you and yours.

There’s an old saying “you become a man the day your father dies.” I learned that at the ripe age of 21. I miss him every day, but forge on in his honor.

Sorry but your comment reminded me of a stanza in the havamal. 72. A son is better, even if born late, after his father's departure. Gravestones seldom stand by the way-side unless raised by a kinsman to a kinsman.

@@alcatraz2627 I hope you are not feeling depressed. I know it took me 3 months for the depression to hit. It took a long time to pull out of it. "That 70's Show" helped me a lot. I had never seen it at the time and I binge watched it. My dad was 52 when he died and I was 28. I am 45 now. Saying that makes me feel old and maybe I am but, I don't feel it. Eventually, you will feel better. Always remember he wanted the best for you. Don't let him down by giving up because he's gone. He sees you.

Thanks for sharing. Lost my father three years ago to a fire. We didn’t have a relationship, he wasn’t ever there for me. But the anger and resentments faded fast after the news. I suppose my humanity kicked in and forgiveness prevailed. Shame he had to go that way, he never got to meet his granddaughter. Cest la vie

Cody I lost my Dad 6 years ago and I feel so blessed that I had 49 memorable years with that man. He definitely shaped me into the man I am today. The one thought that goes through my mind when I think about the night he passed was what an honor it was to be there. He watched ME come into this world and I had the honor of being there when HE left this world. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Very sorry for your loss, take solace in your love of your dad.
When you said "you didn't know what else to do, so you went to work" touched me deeply. When my dad passed away I had been in the middle of fixing a roof for a customer. I had a hole in the roof that I opened to repair it. I went home and got the news that night that he had passed.
The next day I was at the job to continue, I am a carpenter like my dad. It was a way of honoring him and what he had taught me.

Having been 8 years ago now I take pride in doing things he taught me to do and cherishing the skills I have because of him. Watching your videos and the way you do things reminds me very much of him. Great men create great men. Whether you think it or not, people will look back on things you have taught them not even having met you in person and appreciate you and the men before you forever.

Passing is rough on the ones you leave behind, but it was blessing for him to get to see you grow up and see you have a successful life..Your father was gifted with the honor of welcoming you into this world and it was yours to be there for him as he left. We werent on good speaking terms and there's not a day goes by I don't ask for forgiveness from God for the things I said to him, and there's not a day goes by that I don't regret that I didn't just go over and hug his neck and tell him how much I loved him.
