  • Philip Su is a software exec who's worked at large tech firms like Microsoft and Meta, and also founder of Gates Foundation-funded global health nonprofit Audere. In a spontaneous moment during depression, he also worked at Amazon's flagship warehouse in Seattle as a warehouse associate, moving 6 tons of packages a day by hand. Philip teaches computer science classes at University of Washington and Northeastern University, and volunteers at Formation, a software bootcamp focused on helping the underrepresented.

I met Phillip as an intern at Facebook in 2017, we were on Wayne’s team. He’s such an great guy. I remember this one time he put a meeting in our calendar so the team could try some fancy coffee he got us that apparently is top quality because it’s been pooped by a monkey
I was sad to hear he left Facebook by the time I joined full-time in 2018, but his exit story is also legendary- he got everyone coffee
Happy I randomly bumped on this podcast, and to hear he’s still the spirited and positive guy I remember 😄 Being CEO of a non-profit, the Amazon warehouse stint… only briefly met him but these stories and dynamism are all in-character haha (:
