    Here's the video breaking down how the reactor works: • I turn Plastics into F...
    Feel free to ask any questions, I'll be reading every comment!
    I believe with the world wide crisis we are facing now, we require a world wide solution. And this is why I believe we need decentralized devices such as this Reactor. Think about it, even if there is just 1 reactor in every community, that will put a huge dent in plastic waste and pollution.
    Due to this, I do not wish to make a singular specialized Reactor, once I master and complete this one, I want to make all different types, of all different scales and sizes.

    my guy this was absolutely safe... there are so many spots that will fail before before you can build up enough pressure to rupture those tanks( you have full pen welds! ) that you can't make it a bomb with all valves shut for pressure. only if you create an explosive environment and a spark can that happen. fantastic journey you're taking me on and it's amazing to see how fast you adapt. man i like the looks of what you've got there... i think 5 mags might just be to much for that small unit but hell i don't know, i haven't built one yet. keep em coming.

    I know there are issues with pressure build up, but you could hook up a vacuum pump to be sure to get all the air out prior to startup.

    I think the main takeaway from this is safety should be your first concern and you’ve built a very capable reactor but you NEED to make sure you have a pressure release safety system that really works reliably. And your “bubbler” needs to be the correct flow rate

    • @naturejab
      @naturejab  ปีที่แล้ว

      How to make the bubbler correct?

    • @tylerhall99
      @tylerhall99 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@naturejab you said it doesn’t relieve enough pressure fast enough so pressure builds in the reactor which will eventually lead to an explosion

      @@tylerhall99 oh I got an additonal pressure releif valve
      I'll set it to 2 psi

    Do you pump the argon in tank to get rid of oxygen??
    Could you also just vacuum pump the oxygen out??
    Or is the argon process just your preference?

    Alright even though you did scare me a little with the nozzle blow, the video does cover how the experimental development process can be difficult. Its educational at this point, cause frankly, I havent seen videos that cover the stuff that can go wrong when youre exploring new areas of research.

    As you can see I'm still catching up and have a lot to catch up on since I stopped getting notifications.
    I'm hoping to see what you did that's better than the Michael windows for the microwave and if you decided to insulate the outside of the tank at any point.

    Could you fill up the reactor with air, leave it for a few hours, and then check the pressure to check for leaks? Maybe put smoke from a fog machine in there and then apply pressure to see if it comes out anywhere

    • @polarbub
      @polarbub ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well you said it right after I paused the video to type it xD

    • @neffk

      For pressure testing, usually you do a hydrostatic test, where the system is filled with water and maybe a few CCs of compressed air. If you can charge it up to 1.5x or 2.0x the rated pressure and have no leak down over an hour, you're good. Air is harder to seal that water, so if it passes the pressure test, leak testing with air would also be a good idea.
