What is the, vacuum looking stem, on top of the Force Fuel pump? And does it need to be hooked to a vacuum line?

I have the mini system. My pump is going out. I ordered the 50102 pump. Its doesn't fit. Which pump is the replacement for mini system?

Hello my dear friends from fitech. I am new to the fitech 31001 system. I have had problems with the fuel supply, firstly the system seemed to turn off the pump (I have ground wire from the pump directly to the battery and the orange wire from fitech to positive from the pump) without finding A solution to this I decided to place a relay for the positive of the pump controlled by the orange cable of the fitech system, now the pump works perfectly and does not seem to turn off the pump but after 20 minutes the pump begins to increase its sound until the car it turns off, when you touch the pump the pump is very hot. what should I do? I want to buy an AEM 50-1200 E85 pump inside the tank since definitely my experience with the pump on the line has been very bad and then leave the connection under the relay because if I don't connect the relay then the system turns off the pump . I would like to hear suggestions. Thanks a lot

The fuel pump is cavitating. Electric pumps are designed to push fuel, not pull. The pump needs to be lower than the pickup in the tank which is at the bottom. Other things to help the pump get fuel is to increase the line size leading to the pump and mounting the pump closer to the tank. Basically what you have happening is the pump is straining. It gets hot and starts to aerate the fuel. Once aerated the pump can NOT pump and you loose fuel pressure. This is also causing high amperage on the fuel pump circuit.

@@FiTechEFImedia hello friends I found that the fuel intake of the tank of my mustang is very small and I am sure that this is the problem as you indicate it to me. Thank you very much for your suggestion. keep in touch with us.

@@FiTechEFImedia so I have the Force fuel mounted on my firewall. I no longer like how it looks there because the hoses are routed everywhere. I would also like to eliminate my mechanical fuel pump. Could I just remove the fuel pump from the Force Fuel unit and attach it to my sending unit in the fuel tank?

@@TheSqually84 You could put then you have have to deal with high pressure lines and electrical terminals. Another option is our #50015 Tight Fit Pump Module which will eliminate all the obstacles of getting the pump in the tank.
