On the handheld large guages, they show a tach with 9000red line and 12000 full sweep (from memory) Totally crazy for my long stroke v8. How can that be changed to a more appropriate range and red line?
I’ve been wondering the same thing. I have my rev limiter set at 4500. I don’t need it to go to 12k.
Great video.
Using an electronic in-line system. Running into problems getting power to the fuel pump. Pulled the 20amp fuse metal within is still intact. Not receiving any volts at the pump. Any ideas?
Be sure that you are checking voltage to the pump within the first 4 seconds of key on. The system will run the pump for this time on initial key on then it waits for a RPM signal.
Bought the Ultimate 750 system and handheld got all fuzzy screen Contacted they asked me which screen and how to try and fix and still crap bought system over 1 yr ago just got everything together and out to have it tuned and this happens and they wont cover JUNK JUNK JUNK and for the cost no service I would understand if old used system but literally have no drive time or use
Our systems have a 3 year warranty. If you bought the system a year ago we can help. Contact the warranty department for details on the warranty. 951-340-2624.
what is the O-ring size for the 2 on each side of cover?
9.8mm ID, 13.6mm OD, 1.9mm dia
I set using my hand held screen for the duel electric cooling fans to come on at 190 s but they are not working, they were working fine at one point now I have nothing
Check for fault codes. also make sure that the turn on temp is higher than the turn off temp. Also that they are ENABLED.
The Nova is gonna look awesome! Wish I could be at SEMA to see it, but still got work on my FiTech fuel injection setup.
TMI for the win!!!
Shoulda washed that shirt after you took it out of the package, before you put it on.
I have a problem. My Fitech didnt accelerate. I have a chevy 350 turbo set up. It starts, idle and operates great, but when O accelerate it didnt just cut off like if no gaa or no air...any HELP??
Have you checked the fault code section of the system? Also make sure you have consistent fuel pressure.
@@FiTechEFImedia Hi thanks for your answer. Well it was no code on my Fitech and the pressure was OK. Then I put $25 of gasoline (because its my Home Project and is not completed) then the pressure is on 0. I disconnect the hose and put a gallon, put the key and the fuel pump its working and delivering gas, but the pressure didn't stay on the Fitech. It could be the regulator of the Fitech?
So confused my instructions say power wire back of alternator, he just said straight to the battery
What instructions are you looking at?
Hola . Tengo mi configuración y quiero hacerle unos cambios .
I’m in the process of installing mine now. However I didn’t realize the TPI and LT-1 throttle bodies are different but easily overcome just FYI incase someone out there was unaware like me
Nophoekingway
I bought a crap ton of wire to now realize that the harness already have wires going to the ecu lol
aluminum fuel lines are only good for 20 psi? That's news to me. How about the polytube used on newer cars? Do they hold up to the necessary higher pressures?
My reads about 60 degrees warmer than my gauge and infared. What should I look for?
Is the sensor in a location that has an air pocket? This can make the sensor read unusually high. Also the cylinder head will read hotter than at the thermostat.
My wife bought me a Go EFI 4 3002 600 hp system for my birthday in May 2024. It sat in the box unopened since. I finally got to install the setup and did so as instructed. Everything powers up as it should but it will not do a prime shot to allow it to run. My research shows bad ecu's have been the.main issue with these setups? Could it possibly be as simple as an update to the ecu is needed or could the ecu have been bad from the factory? My hand held doesnt have the 3 dimples?
I highly doubt there is an issue with the system if its new out of the box. Contact our tech department for assistance at 951-340-2624 or techmail@fitechefi.com. They will troubleshoot with you to find the issue. It could be as silly as feed and return lines hooked up backwards.
I have a 94 mustang gt . With a 5.0 e303 cam afr195 heads with shaft mount 1.6 roller rocker arms. Installed. Fi tech 600. It starts popping at higher rpms cutting out just won't rev msd two wire distributor locked out. Where do i start?
I would revisit setting like rev limit to make sure you are not hitting it. I would also recommend verifying the timing control setup is accurate. You can watch Tech Tuesday Video #5 for additional information. Ultimately you could be having as issue with timing being off due to setup or how settings are input under the spark table. You may also be running into spark jump if you have not phased the rotor or possibly the coil is beginning to fail.
I have a problem with my Fitech part # 31001 600 Hp carburetor. The butterflies do not open any more or at least completely, The accelerating assembly only travels like one inch, no more. Any suggestions why they stop opening?. The car starts but does not accelerate.
I have a problem with my Fitech part # 31001 600 Hp carburetor. The butterflies do not open any more or at least completely, The accelerating assembly only travels like one inch, no more. Any suggestions why they stop opening?. The car starts but does not accelerate.
Thanks for your comments, the butterflies on my carburetor are still close, I tried what you suggested and no luck. The fuel assembly only travels about one inch. therefore, is not enough to open the butterflies. Suggestions?
Sounds like the linkage is binding or you may have an issue where the butterflys are hitting the intake manifold.
Man, this video sucked about as bad as your fuel injection kits. Folks, this is not the correct way to plumb your car!
I put a LS1 fuel injected engine out of a 1998 Caramo Z28 in my old 1980 CJ5 Jeep. I tried for months to get LS1 PCM harness working and could only get a crank no start result. I purchased your 70050-1 Ultimate LS system and have it installed. I try to start the setup but get ECU no response when I try to enter anything. Any tips on what to check?
Your best option is to give our tech line a call or email. The most common reasons for no ECU response is missed or improper wiring of the system. There are two rounds on the harness that need to be grounded to the engine. Then engine also needs to be grounded back to the battery. We often see a ground being missed.
Hi guys from Australia here I’ve got a 1989 Nissan patrol with a 1986 305 tpi Chevy swap, was wondering if any of your kits would work with this motor it’s in I believe stock configuration but is paired up with a 5 speed manual, about a Month ago it killed the previous wiring harnesses and I believe the old f9 haltech ecu has died
Oh little side note, I’ve got my fuel pump, electric water pump and thermo fans on a switched setup so it doesn’t have to run those
Kits # 38350 or 38351 would be options for you.
😎👍
do MSD helicore solid suppression wires work with your systems?
Solid core wires are not for use with EFI.
1:12 I did this step without holding down the accelerator to shut off fuel supply and it instantly flooded out my engine and fouled out the spark plugs. Now I’m screwed and it doesn’t wanna start anymore. Car was running fine before, I should’ve left it alone🤦🏽♂️. Any advice on how to reverse this?
You rewrote the calibration file. If anything the file is not correct for your engine. It could be that you selected the from reluctor file (24 or 58). It could also be the wrong injector side in the calibration. You need to go back through the initial setup in this case.
@@FiTechEFImedia yea I selected the same file in the video (24). I have a 5.7l 4l60e. I still can’t figure it out. We tried to do like a master reset and start from zero but still nothing worked😟 could I get you guys on the phone perhaps?
Give our tech team a call and we can help assist. 951-340-2624
Looks like what I need
how do i do this in a 1993 mitsubishi lancer glxi 4g92?
Why does the option turn off.. My wiring checks out no signal for pcm green connector pin 50.. In from vss 20 to 21.. Can pcm be faulty.. Can I use alternative pins to pcm 4l80e uses?
This video is in regards to a Fitech Ultimate LS system.
Guys the Gameboy user interface should have died with the apexi-pfc , where can i get a win-os program to use on my laptop , with say a 200 or 400 cell map and such? It would just be so much easier and self tuning is....not how I do things. There has to be some kind of software even as basic as tprt or ecmlink
We also offer PC based tuning however these systems are firstly designed to be a self contained system with no additional parts needed to get operating.
First!
On a dual tank system in a square body, can you use the return line at the tank switcher valve? I’m just unclear how you would return fuel to one tank. You could possibly overfill it and I don’t know if if the factory return line is adequate enough.
You are correct. On dual tank setups you need a switching valve on the return line.
So what setting do you adjust your base timing at idle for vacuum to be the highest possible at idle? Would that be idle advance??
That is correct. The idle advance setting is for adjusting the spark advance at idle.
So if I understand correctly we set the distributor in at 10 degrees btdc or whatever. Then sync it with a timing light to match. Then after that we can just use the idle advance to get highest vacuum or change without physically touching the distributor
Hello, do you sell a harnesses for the tpi with a 5 speed manual thanks
Kit # 38350 or 38351
The butterflies on my carburetor do not open, they were working before. do I force them open, is it a manual issue or electric? Can you help with this? Part # 31001
If the throttle adjustment screws are backed off all the way the butterfly can stick in the venturi. You should be able to screw the and adjustment screws in to free up the butter flies.
@@FiTechEFImedia Thanks for the answer, I will try that and let you know
Im running this horizontally on a 4150 adapter. I cant find a air filter to fit it
We have air filters available on our website. fitechefi.com/product-category/accessories-components/filters-fuel-filters/
Hi, Somebody tested this tips for the bad 2016-2018 Chevy Transmission ?????
Our transmission controls are for 4l60e and 4l80e base transmissions which were discontinued in 2013. I am not sure what transmission you are referring to.
Where’s the oil pressure commector
Our systems do not require the use of oil pressure therefore if you need a gauge you would wire it external to the EFI system.
Pulled the carb off my dads car and did this, its been headaches. Constantly resetting and going through the steps over and over every few months. At this point I think its time to put a carb back on the Nova
Hello, I am sorry to hear that. Have you reached out to our tech support team for assistance in order to help solve this problem? Also, if you are in the Riverside, California area we will be having dyno days where we do free tuning for customers. This will be September 14, 2024.
FOLLOW these simple steps, folks lol... I have 4 of these systems: 400hp, dual-quad, and 2x 600hp versions, and if you actually follow the initial steps to a tee, they're fantastic. They're not the most intuitive, sure, but these vids do really help!
If you make changes to your vehicle like I’m running a 700r4 and want to switch to a 4l80 is it possible to change that
Yes. You just need to turn on the trans control under the Initial Setup of the handheld. You may also need the harness if you didn't purchase it initially. Trans Control Sub Harness # 70050-5
I have a brand new in box Fitech 70001 system for sale $1200!
If the stock tpi fuel pump is sufficient what should the psi be set at? I was told this system requires 58 psi. I know the stock tpi system holds 43 psi?
This system was intended to run at 43 PSI where as other EFI kits we offer run at 58 PSI.
Whatever horsepower level your engine should produce match your injector size and pump accordingly to support it. The sky is the limit
Will the 38305 on a stock 305 tpi work with the stock fuel pump. ?
Yes it will.
In that case what should the fuel pressure be set at ? I was told the fitech system requires 58 psi. I know the stock system holds at around 43 psi.
@@gman2969 you are conflating systems the LS runs 58 psi the fuel pressure you send to your injector is not ecu controlled the FPR you have on your engine is set at 42 psi and you pump will support it that’s what you got. It’s regulated off vacuum and a mechanical spring / diaphragm not the ecu
Would be a lot nicer with out the music
So you are saying that if I have the ECU that has the 3 fuses in line I need the T198 software in my Handheld, I made some changes using PROCAL 1.2.1 REVA and now my 30064 Power Adder reads 10 cylinders 1034 Cu In.?
If you are going to use the procal software to tune you need to start with a fresh file and exclusively tune within the procal software.
Once your done setting the iac. Do you have to go back on the hand held and change the setting to off on the iac?
When the key is turned off the system will save and turn the Idle Set Mode off.
Nice work.....but how can I Change from Farenheit to Celsius on the dash? Thank you
The system will only read in Fahrenheit.
