The tribalism in Nigeria is something that always confused me. My wife is a Registered Nurse. One of her co-workers was a Captain from Nigeria in the US Army. When the young girls were abducted Boko Haram, the captain about her feelings on this situation. She replied with "they're not part of my tribe, so I don't care"...My wife lost it! She said if you care so much about your tribe, why did you leave your country, and joined the US Military. I've actually deployed to Cameroon, Niger, and Nigeria. The Nigerian senior leaders were some of the most corrupt I ever had to work with.

I pray that you find the success you need to sustain your life in Ghana and raise your family there. Living in America I know there is NO WAY I’m raising my children here. I grew up in Ghana, it’s been, 13 years since I left for the states, I can look back and say that the happiest years of my life was my childhood in Ghana. I want my children to have that liberation I felt as a child in Ghana, and not be burden by the insecurities imposed on black People living in America.

Love Love Love Gina Paige and African Ancestry! I highly recommend them over their competitors for their vast database and integrity with your sample. I like the fact that they connect you with a nation/tribe rather than a location because, as we know, African groups migrated all over the continent and it's difficult to tie dna to a place/space. My DNA = Mende/Temne + Mandinka

My grandmother told me that my great great grandmother on my mother's side was an Irish indentured slave so I'm 90%African and 9% European. Should I do the maternal test or the paternal test? Thanks and God bless.

I'm glad African ancestry is black owned we all need to support more black business. I am willing to try this out because I need to know where my ancestors and I came from and also I been asking my mother who was her grandmother and her great grandmother was and she told that her grandmother was "Indian" and her grandfather was black but she don't know who her great great grandmother was so I ask my grandma who was your grandmother and told me that she was white or Indian and her grandfather was black. My mother side of the family is kind of confusing because my mom don't know to much about them and the crazy part is that grandma don't believe that she's African because her hair is not nappy it's curly. Now as far as my father side of the family my grandma had pictures of my great great great grandmother in the picture she was very melanin with long her and my grandma told me that she was Indian but i find that hard to believe because she have African features. and my grandma shows me another picture of my great great great grandfather and she claims that he was mixed because his eyes were blue but in the picture he looked European.

Interesting video I was going to ask you some time ago if you were interested in taking the ancestry dna at any time in the future as that would link you up with family members all over through the family matches section which is more detailed and specific and continuously being updated. The African ancestry database is quite small and limited from what results I have seen, over time it hopefully will expand but ancestry gives you the majority of your DNA which is what people want in order to find your family roots in Africa.

Thanks😄. Love your vids. My thing is we are more than one tribe. As a Carib I know. Slavery was happening for a couple 100 yrs. And whether or not a white donor fathered any relative in our line, we still have African before the encounter. I'm still African regardless. So it doesn't matter to me much.

The Data Base Can *ONLY* Be Expanded By Getting DNA from Other African Tribes In Africa To ESTABLISH A *"Broader Base"* ..
This Needs To Be Encouraged For This Reason In Africa, And I Believe *"African Ancestry"* Should Be The One To Carry This Out...Our *"OWN DNA BANK FOR US"* ...

According to Hebrew History...our true lineage under the Most High Our Power is determined by the Pedigree of our Fathers...My brother did African Ancestry but he and I have different Fathers and the same mother...So our Mitochondrial DNA is of the Tikkar People of Cameroon. I want to know my Paternal lineage now. Bless you both! I really enjoy your videos...and remember, scripture teaches us in: Numbers 1:18 KJV
“And they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month, and they declared their pedigrees after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls.”

As a intrapreneur I have a suggestion. My friends in Nigeria ask me to send or procure used Refrigerators and solar panels new or used. There is a middle class in both countries that needs and can pay for each. One other thing my friends in Nigeria sent a guy to HVAC school to repair the Refrigerators he teach others.... you can import or get containers on container ship being a citizen of USA easer than Ghanaians and set up the Corporation to facilitate the business. No collage degree needed.

So they have your DNA make up now, what will they do with it after testing. Is it on file ? Why? You can just give up researching what is done with DNA afterward. I know we want to know who we are but I confused on what is done with it.
