Good video, and truly all there is to get up and running quickly, quickly being the keyword. So everything works for me as I follow the video frame for frame in R23, except for the last part 05:08. When I highlight the Foot Controller, and then grab one of the colored Triangles just as you do, nothing moves. The foot doesn't move, the leg doesn't lift, nothing. Nothing moves.
This is a great video but just one thing.. how do i prevent the arms from bending the wrong way like the legs? Is it that I have to add the hands component too or something else? If you or anyone could tell me thatd be greatly needed and appreciated also..HOW DO I EVEN MOVE THE SPINE???
thank you so much🙂... yes in new versions of C4D you don't need to merge the all character parts .. just put all under Null Object and drag it to binding👍

Same with me. Until the Binding phase it works.

After binding, You have to switch the tab from Bind to Animate. Then You will have the option to move the controllers.
