Finally! Someone who mentions how much the interior mirror blocks so much of the outward field of vision! Bravo! I can tolerate the low windshield header but the blockage caused by the mirror is a problem for me at even three inches shorter than you. (I’m 6’ tall with what I assume is a “normal” ratio of height above and below the waist.) I actually removed the mirror (easily) in my NA and NB Miatas and never missed it. If it were possible in the ND, I’d be glad to do so again!

The change in the steering was EXTREMELY noticeable. Night and day, as a matter of fact. I felt the difference from my 2022 GT RF within 30 seconds of the first test drive. I was so impressed with the difference, I traded the '22 for the new '24 GT on the spot.....and I was seriously surprised by how much better the visibility is through the rear back window of the soft top than the RF.

Perhaps the difference you noticed is from going from the RF to the Soft-top? There's a noticeable difference in weight as well which does impact the handling dynamics.

@@MGReviewsBlog The entire internal design of the electronic steering system underwent a serious redesign at the behest of the car's supervising engineer, who has gone publicly online into specific detail about the changes and why. There has been a lot of aggressive denial online about this from 2016-2023 ND2 owners who seem afraid to admit the upgrade has vastly improved the handling characteristics across the entire 2024 model line, soft top or RF. Videos from owners who went from earlier ND2's to the '24 ND3 have claimed the difference is very recognizable. It was one of the first things I wanted to test for myself when I was contemplating the trade-in, to see if there really was a discernable difference. That answer was thoroughly objective within the first five minutes of the test drive.

Just Right for me at 5ft 7.5 inches. I even have to move the drivers seat forward. Plenty of power, although the Australian models seem to weigh less than the North American cars. Mine is 2,265 lbs with a full tank compared with 2,340 lbs. I also weigh only 140 lbs., so it’s pretty quick off the mark!

You want bigger this and that buy a corvette. Mazda has ignored all that bs and kept it a real lightweight roadster as it was first intended. THANK YOU MAXDA! No competition.
