@@Hot-1LE Thanks for getting back to me. The hone in your link is no longer available, or at least no longer available in Canada. Just so everybody else knows it's a was a 120 grit " medium" hone
Probably have to take the shield off and/or pull the rotor off. As long as its not "sanded" in one single spot continuously to keep a even surface youd be good
Good job honing! I did not do that and they seem gtg. So ya decided on the messy pads again eh? Haha 😛 … you’ll stop just a tiny bit better than my PowerStops (btw if you guys hate the dust from the Brembo pads I highly recommend the PS ones you’ll love em)!!!
These pads dust soooooo much omg it's ridiculous. They compress a bit to. But they hold up great when I beat on them. Might try the power stops next time. Thanks bro!
@@Hot-1LE Yup, for comparison I see about the same dust after 2 weeks that I saw 2 days with the Brembo’s!! But, from the reviews I’ve seen the PS don’t stop quite as well, so it’s a trade off I guess. I love how our wheels look when clean and I was sick of dusting every other day so this was a good option, but then again I don’t track … but in the canyon I’m hard pressed to tell a big diff, maybe just a bit more immediate bite on the B’s 👍
Another funny thing, showing my age I guess lol is that my body just ached after doing all four corners holy crap lol!! But other than that a very enjoyable way to spend a few hours for sure!!
That's a huge change. I even kinda like the dirty look on the car now 😅. I know what you mean on the pains. Those lug nuts need some good torque on them and that gets me going. I'm done afterwards. But these brembos easiest brakes I've ever worked on
Nope all stock here. I do have those lift pads though I just haven't put them on. It definately helps save your pinch weld down there. But ya done it so many times it's no biggy.
No it only pops up when I'm on the gas and the alert pops up that there's a car ahead ittl pop up for a second and that's it. I can't figure out how to get it on full time I got a 2022 2ss 1le idk if its any different
@@devinwilkerson4098 It’s not on. That is crash detection. There is controls for it on the left of the steering wheel. One switch is the brightness and one is the mode for it.
Hey so that circle line all around your rotor in the end of your video, is that normal? I just got my 2 piece rotors and after breaking them in 3 months later they have that line?
That's hella stupid sitting in the middle of the round and quick question are you from California also because I see your canyon video hitting up la crest
Honing worked really well. The pads have been on a few hundred miles now and bedded in perfectly. Don't forget to put the 13mm bolt back!
Nice DIY video. Does the SS 1LE have same rotors as the ZL1 ?
What grit of hone did you use. I noticed they sell 3 grits from light to heavy
Check the link in the description thats the right one. I think it ends up being coarse

Bruh I thought you were using a camera to do this I had no idea you using your phone damn good quality with your phone
Great video Man, as usual!
Thank you bro! 💪🙏
Good video man! I love mine I’ve it a month now , I took that advice and got that mckees matte cleaner and it’s great man!
Ay congrats on your car man! Glad the McKees is working as good for you as it does for me. I really appreciate your support. Keep enjoying that car!
@@Hot-1LE thanks man same for you!
great video as always
Reminds me of when I did that to my flywheel in a car. I did to much, I guess. Went though that clutch in 6 month.
Great video man .
Thank you bro!
Good stuff, as usual 👍👍👍👍
Mucho gracias bro!
Good demo. What do you do when you have dust shields though.

Sounds Awesome what mic. are you using out back
Rode micro, or any of rodes mics are good.
Thanks Cheers!

Do you have the ZL1-addons lift blocks? You made it look so easy to lift! Mine hasn’t left the ground yet cause I’m too nervous to try 😬

Where did you get the 1LE flag from? It looks sweet!
You can find them on eBay. It's really good quality to.
Do you have a link were to buy pads thanks
Check amazon bro or rock auto!
@@Hot-1LEthanks I found them
Do u specifically have too use Brembo pads, or can use another brand?
You don't have to you can use other pads. The brembos are good for daily and track use though. They just dust like crazy
@@Hot-1LE Thanks, just curious
How did you do the rear rotors?
Only did the fronts in this case. But same process its just slightly different having to push the piston into the caliper.
Nice🤘
How do you get the heads up display to stay on while driving in sport??
It shouldn't turn off in any specific mode. Does yours turn off when putting into sport?

Yeah man it's fine no problem. There is a certain amount of runoff that's allowed with that. Don't worry about it, drive it.
@@Hot-1LE ahh okok, so will it go away alone with time? Or would it just keep getting deeper the line?
It will just stay like how it is. As long as it's not deep your good.

No prob man. If you got more questions just let me know bro

That intro gave me anxiety, gotta look out for idiots 😬
Yup! Was not thrilled about that haha. Always leave some on the table on the canyons never go full send. This is why
