  • The Norfolk Coast Path makes up 47 miles of a 93 mile long National Trail, starting at the seaside town of Hunstanton and finishing at the popular tourist destination of Cromer.
The route takes in many beautiful villages and locations including:
    Hunstanton Cliffs
    Holme-next-the-Sea Nature Reserve
    Norfolk Coast AONB
    Brancaster Staithe
    Burnham Deepdale
    Burnham Overy Staithe
    Holkham Bay & Beach
    Wells-next-the-Sea
    Blakeney
    Cley-next-the-Sea
    Cley Marshes
    Sheringham
    Cromer
The route often takes roughly 3 to 5 days to complete depending on distances walked each day and is served by an excellent bus service so linear day walks can also be completed.
Along with the Peddars Way, the route makes up the only National Trail in East Anglia.

Stunning and the music was perfect! I just completed the entire 84 miles 3 weeks ago (mid Nov 2021) 3 nights camping and 3 nights BnB. I loved reliving the path through this video. Personally didn't enjoy Sheringham or Cromer that much and to make it to the very end, had to endure Great Yarmouth which was pitiful and honestly abut 10 miles of anguish approaching the city, navigating through it and getting on the other side of the Yare back to the coast. Looks like a third bridge is in the works so I'll be interested in how this affects the route down to the border of Suffolk! Will be looking for your other National Trails videos. Delightful!

Great video...can you tell me if there are many places to stealthfully camp along the trail?

    • @WalkingintheWildwithJoeJackson
      @WalkingintheWildwithJoeJackson  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

To be honest I would have to say plenty! Lots of areas of open salt marsh and flood banks. I know someone who stealthed the whole trail with ease. Also lots of places for food so you can carry slightly less.

I've just ordered the trailblazer guide for the peddars way & Norfolk coast path.
Is this well signposted? Are there many campsites along the way? I plan to walk it with my 12 & 14 year-old in the summer. X

The Norfolk Coast Path has a selection of Campsites, one in Burnham Deepdale, Wells, Stiffkey, Weybourne and West Runton. The Peddars Way is a little more tricky for camping, one near Great Hockham one near Swaffham. Cant think of any others on the Peddars, its much more simple to maybe B&B that part and camp the coastal path.
Also the entire route is superbly signposted.
