Great review. I am a new in VR gaming. I did buy PS5 with VR2 about one month ago and love it. Unfortunately I noticed how much the developers are taking a piss too often. That's why honest reviews like yours are very important.
You’re going to regret that purchase. Got mine 4 months ago. Played it for about 3 months and it’s just been gathering dust. No games worthy of spending money on. This thing is going to go the way if PS Vita.
@@EyeForKnowledge. Look up a top 25/30 psvr2 games list video or webpage, there’s already a decent amount of solid titles of varying between indie and triple A, double A, etc. Also specifics such as Switchback, Green Hell, Firewall, Hellsweeper had been confirmed working on to patch fix/improve from their issues. No Man’s Sky has now been visually patched and looks the way it was meant to be on PS5 now.
You need to give all the games a good 3-6 months to get post release optimization. As bad as the practice is, they are using user feedback to polish games. A great example is No Man's Sky. It's just recently become the must buy PSVR2 title
@@JustFeral It is much, much worse than the ace combat games. This game takes its cues from Ace Combat 1... Not 7. Just not a great game. It's also just a few missions, not the whole game. So it's sort of like Ace Combat 7 VR all over again...
Based on the footage I've seen of Project Wingman, Ace Combat 7 on PSVR 1 looks way better (except maybe for resolution I guess). Such a shame. I was hoping this would be a good one. And it's inexcusable imo that the campaign isn't playable in VR on PSVR 2, when it was on PC years ago, and all the Project Wingman advertising was touting PSVR 2 support. They made it seem like the full game was VR, and it should have been.
They obviously tried to port the PC version and it could not be done on PS5 hardware. The game has been delayed 7 months from the initial announcement. Quest 3 owners listening the outright lies about Q3 = high end PC from the Meta "ambassadors" are going to feel the same way. It was OBVIOUS back in 2015 that VR only makes sense on high-end PC/custom console. It is the most demanding workload possible in graphics and to run AAA games in VR is going to require something 3-4x performance of a current gaming console or mid range PC (at the time of release - "good enough" is a constantly moving target ) The future of VR hangs by a thread. It`s there for the taking if Valve want it ? But do they ?
Just wait for the Q3 backlash. "The Meta narrative" Q3 = high end PC , Q3 exclusives are coming !! We can`t show you any actual Q3 footage but take the word of our "ambassadors" you can truth them :)
@@decadent. there's been plenty of Q3 footage shown on YT channels as well as Q2 vs Q3 side by side comparisons. Mostly irrelevant to me as I'm going to be using mine primarily for PCVR in any case.
The complaint of "this PSVR2 game has you use the DualSense instead of the Sense controllers" is possibly the dumbest complaint I could possibly think of. Apparently, I'm a weirdo for thinking that games should prioritize being fun and functional above being immersive, and that the VR medium's capacity for immersion does not magically change that. The game was designed for and works perfectly fine with the DualSense - why twist the control scheme into pretzels just so that the Sense controllers have something to do? There's no law that says that you absolutely have to use "VR controllers" when you have a screen strapped to your face - VR controllers are they way they are to enable the kind of experiences that flatscreen games can't really deliver. If you're playing a game where the VR is or could be a simple on/off toggle in the options, then just use the controller that already works. But I guess the height of gaming excitement is clumsily working a plane's throttle with motion controls instead of just pressing the goddamn shoulder buttons. Who needs things that just work when you can accurately emulate the sensation of being a particularly uncoordinated monkey shoved into a cockpit?
I had this in my cart until I found out you can only play the campaign flat.. The lack of transparency is frustrating. And it's sadly becoming more common. Thank you GT for your honesty and rock solid take on these games. Sorry about the discord, but looking forward to the ramp up of the new one! GT VR Community is home
Thanks! Super helpful. I just picked up Hellsweeper VR after the first graphics update, and I am really enjoying it. And there’s so much stuff to play for me, that passing some games is not a bad thing.
I can’t tell if it’s placebo or not, but today feels like a really bad day. I don’t want to go to work, I’m feeling lazy and unmotivated. What a dumpy day😞
Same here dude, what’s happening? Been a bad day from the jump and not just for VR. Personally everything went wrong today at work, while driving, etc..
@@GAMERTAGVR much love GT! This one feels different from other titles missing the bar. Similar to switchback but we know the title is playable and better and thorough on pc. I feel like this was a “get it out there and then patch it to hell” the way the interviews went and dialogue on the title, it seems like someone hit submit too soon in error. As always, I’ll stay humbly hopeful in likely ignorance🤣😭
Oh, another crappy half-baked PSVR2 game, what a surprise lol I'm sorry but I'm tired of this. Please RE4 and Vertigo 2, come and chase away these dark clouds.
I am a little saddened by the fact that it wasn't mentioned the Project wingman is basically a three man team and Ace combat is closer to 80+ with money backing. Sure PW may not by the top end stuff but for 25 dollars or so for a full indie game isn't bad at all. At this point it is easy to watch a full playthrough so I recommend it just for the experience.
Thanks for the honest review bro. I am actually gutted because I am so ready for a decent vr flight game in the style of ace combat, which I loved on the psvr
I got mine 2 weeks ago and I'm tempted to sell it. It's a shame but I'm just losing confidence that it will be well supported in the coming years. And the screen kind of disappointed me to be honest. The MURA and ghosting is really bad and there's quite a bit of blur/grain. I think I prefer LCDs.
@@adrenalineisbrown 120 games in 2023, whether it is mostly ports does nothing while the best of the PC are part of it. In addition to PSVR2 exclusives. You ask that the games be laid in 1 or 2 years (dev kit), the development is not done like that, and you know it. Already 100 more games coming in 2024 it will be the rhythm every year. That is, about Quest, apart from the MetaVers of Zukerberg is a sham, and there will be nothing good in Mixed games for 5 or even 10 years. 2 hours battery life on Quest 3 standalone... you see : easy to piss on a device.
What i was hoping to get fro. This vid is more info on VR gameplay. Trying to work out if it is either 1 - only 6 VR levels and the rest is flat Or 2 - the whole game is flat only APART from the 6 VR levels So basivally, from a VR perspective, is it only 6 VR levels or is the whole game VR? (or option 3, just hold out for aces of thunder)
That would be nice for squadrons to play on VR2. But we need a full game like tie fighter vs x wing. I know on PC there is someone that made a mod and the whole game is in VR. I'm thinking about getting a vr headset for my pc just for that game.
I appreciate your down to earth and realistic opinions of these games. I was hoping this was gonna be a good one but after your review I'm glad to avoid yet another disappointment. I'm now subscribed to you bro
No, this review is utterly ignorant and horrible. You’re missing out. The dev team is three people purely expanding on the base game out of passion. Randomly shitting on the game with blank points is a terrible thing.
I appreciate the honest opinions. VTOL VR is where it's at for VR combat flight sims. Easy to get into and lots to learn. I heard Nuclear Option might get VR support at some point.
Very Honest GT You saved people money even though it may end up costing you. "In a world of lies and deception telling the truth is a revolutionary act"
I've noticed that almost every talk about the Quest 3 revolves mostly around the AR/MR, and obviously standalone software as expected. I want to know how the experience would be for PCVR and I hope we hear all about by time it releases. I use my Q2 for PCVR 99.6% of the time through AirLink/V.D. and with a computer capable of having just about every VR game on max settings. Will the Q3's tech enhance my experience for PCVR over the Q2, or should I just wait until my Q2 dies on me? Like i really want to want it, but I don't know if I should right away.
Wifi 6e, AV1 decoding, and pancake lenses on a higher resolution display will make a difference. Even high end hardware may struggle to run it 1:1 pixel for pixel as that requires 7000x3750 resolution up from the 5400x2700 of the Quest 2. Some tinkering with settings may he required to maintain 90hz.
@@Thezuule1 The quest 2 definitely didn’t have a 5400x2700 panel.. If you’re running that res on pcvr you’re actually doing 2x supersampling in the least efficient (but best looking) way.
@@JimmyNuisance I realize the panel isn't that high but that isn't actually super sampling. You need that resolution to compensate for the barrel distortion to get 1:1 at the center of the display. Not sure why Meta calls it 1.7x in their software as it's ultimately 1.0x.
@@JustFeral Can confirm, it's just 6 missions. The whole game is not in VR. The fact that so many people think it is isn't great. The marketing for this game has been somewhat misleading I think. I also thought it was the full campaign until I was shown otherwise. Guess they didn't really want to tell anyone cause that would lower their sales.. And with no refunds, a sale is a sale...
Another PSVR2 disappointment! Thanks for letting us know really regretting buying the PSVR2 on launch now, So many games coming out that are poorly optimised for the headset still...don't understand it at all.
I was excited to hear about an update to the PC, but when they turned the clouds into a bunch of particles, I didn't even try to play again. I was a lot more impressed with the earlier version of the clouds, even if they tanked the framerate.
true words. It’s funny because there was no advertising or promotion for this game. It just suddenly appeared in the library for sale. I didn’t have time to form an opinion. Keeping my money in my pocket
My first flight sim was Microsoft Flight Simulator 2.0 which came out in 1984. I played it on a Hercules monochrome graphics adapter at 720x348 resolution which was incredibly high for the time.. Now I play MSFS 2020 in VR at 5400x2700.. How far we've come in my short lifetime still amazes me.
I’m so disappointed with most VR games. #1 most of them do not feel like a full game. #2 most of them don’t look that great. #3 Sony needs to step up and make first party game for the head set faster.
I'm not sure why flight games lean SO HARD on arcade stuff.. I mean, most of these flying action games are SO ARCADY that if you went as far into arcade-stuff with a racing game, you wouldn't get something equivalent of Need for Speed or Burnout, you'd have something like an auto-turning, auto breaking, auto throttle karting game.. Not Mario Kart either, something strictly aimed towards 5 year olds. Why is this the bar for flying games? Making it more complex is not impossible on the dev side, and it's not impossible for people who think planes are cool to navigate a radar screen or use a targeting pod from afar. Flying games are supposed to take a little bit of time to learn.. That's like HALF the fun of flying games.. Figuring out your craft.. I'm not saying it needs to be like DCS or even VTOL, but it needs to be more than "full throttle, point plane close to target, fire seeking missiles and some flares sometimes." Instead, devs tend to make games that play sort of like Ace Combat did in the 90s.. We've come a long way since the 90s.. Shooters went from Wolfenstein to FAR MORE complex and still mainstream games like R6, CoD, battlefield.. Why didn't flight action games take the same path? We don't need to be coddled.. We've played games for a while, and the medium has grown and games have advanced.. But these flying action games are just completely stuck in 1994. I really don't get it, because it's not like they're marketed as nostalgia games.. But that's really all they are. "remember Ace Combat in the 90s? Buy our game, it's like that!" Pretty much the same as "Remember Battle Arena Toshinden? Buy our game, it's like that!" And before anyone throws their hat in the ring to defend Battle Arena Toshinden, play that game again... That game gave me the most rose tinted goggles I've ever worn... I remember seeing it when it was brand new, one of the first 3D games I ever saw on a console, and it was a-ma-zing... Played it again like 6-7 years ago, unbelievably bad. Like objectively horrid. Ace Combat 1 isn't as bad as that, but it's pretty bad. And that's what is still being used as a yardstick for action flight games..
0:43 use a Dualsense? What bs. I hate how the vr controllers generally can’t be used as multiplayer for non vr games and single player for cinematic mode is too convoluted. Runner was a pain with the visual novel using a regular controller while being in vr too, as well as soundtrack. At least the main game was tough but fun with vr controller. 3:24 half hour vr mission is a pain. Thanks for the info. I’ll avoid.
Thank you for your honest opinions. I have been burned by some tubers who rate any game on their channels system of choice as 8+ no matter how bad the game is. Keep doing the good work and it will pay off. Anyone who reads this, please consider if this guy saves you money on purchasing a bad game, consider joining his channel and supporting him.
I purchased this and downloaded it but not yet plated it, it said PSVR2 on the game logo, so I expected it all to be, now I find this out, so I want a refund, I have not played it but Sony says NO I feel cheated.
Interesting opinion. Steam's 92% positive reviews and the 10-90 hours per reviewer paint a different picture for me. However it is a shame the Devs lock added content for PlayStation gamers only when backers are primarily PC gamers. No comments about VR graphics being bad at all or boring. Hmm. Might wait til sale. Thanks for the alternate perspective.
where is Sony's quality control, the PS store is filled with half baked or just poor quality games with the occasional good one in the mix. They have this amazing piece of kit in the PSVR2 but seem happy to slowly let it die.
Little comment for people classifying this game as a flight sim: it isn't one. Ace combat, HAWX, Project Wingman are all arcade shooters and the rules of physics do not apply to any of them. You don't even operate anything in the cockpit. A good comparison would be with the Forza Horizon series: the games are definitely not racing sims, they are arcade racers. If people are interested in actual flight simulators, DCS and Microsoft Flight Simulator are alternatives that support VR, but they're on other platforms. The other flying games such as AC and PW are all about flying as a mute psychopath and blowing stuff up, which is AWESOME!
If You want a Ace Combat on PS5, you can get it. Also consider its only 30€$. I can see that psvr users are a bit pissed tho considering this should all be VR and not just the 6 missions
Appreciate you getting vids out so quick to help people make an informed decision. This one, in particular, feels like they misled people, and that's become a disheatening trend that's actually beginning to feel like the norm. It's at the point now where I don't trust any releases will be polished. Weirdly Synapse was the only one that I've followed recenly that came out in a decent state. I don't think it ever even got a patch, was pretty issue free...shame though as even that could have done with more content. How have Sony used this as part of the marketing materials for PSVR2?!?!?... I really like the tech, I'm just worried that bad PR is going to kill it.
Thank you, you saved me $29.99. I was really hoping this one would wow us. Well, Oct is still stacked anyways. Hopefully the other games we are waiting for review well. No more pre orders from me!
Stacked with more garbage I’m sure. Unfinished games. Glitchy games. Bad graphics, fuzzy view, janky controls etc. PSVR2 is gonna end up going to a way of PS Vita. Guaranteed.
@@EyeForKnowledge. "PSVR2 is gonna end up going to a way of PS Vita." I had no patience for that argument 6 months ago… I just couldn’t see sony dropping the ball this hard…. but today I’m sort of hoping it will go the way of the vita, because compared to the Vita, the psvr2 has been way more of a bummer… it becoming the next vita is a huge step up from where it is right now.. the vita sold more than 10 mill units and then the pirates killed the platform. That is much preferred over the path the psvr2 is taking, which is dying before it ever saw life. Outside the bubble, literally no one cares about the psvr2. With the cost and the cable and the crummy games, PSVR2 is NOT going to see a boom in sales this xmas.. not when all the kids ask for quests.. q2 is back to 299.. and the q3 costs the same as just the psvr2 headset and controllers… but it’s all in, so daddy can play Diablo 4 on the ps5 while the kid is doing VR on their quest… The only people with much excitement about psvr2 right now is the gt7 community. And some NMS fans.. The horror fans already bought the psvr2 for RE8 and RE4 if they’re ever gonna buy it.

@@GAMERTAGVR thanks as always for covering this up and calling out devs all the time. I really appreciate your hard work and not selling yourself away. Much love from México 🌮 💜
You captured my thoughts to the "T". Playstation said they won't refund my game unless the developers list it as a faulty game. A flying game with no available HOTAS support is as faulty as it gets if you ask me. Now I'm stuck with this game. They better pump out some updates ASAP!!
@steveprotoss1090 I fear that you may be correct. Only the developers can save this headset. I'm still waiting on Sony to drop some exclusives as well.
I played this on PCVR and yep spot on, gameplay gets boring quick and even maxed out with a rtx4090 it doesn't look great. It does feel slightly more imersive with a flight stick. Used a Thrustmaster t16000 and throttle, its weird that you don't see the cockpit joystick move around in vr at all.
The way some of the devs have launched PS VR2 games is almost illegal and fall under marketing lies. I sold my VR2 and ordered Quest 3. PlayStation would never allow this on PS5 release, so I couldn’t support that as a consumer. Plus I had other issues with the HW
I felt this way with the meditation VR Tripp. It sold for $59 maybe more in pounds. But it wasn’t actual VR just warped 2D images. My heart dropped into my stomach because I felt like I was robbed by Sony. And I didn’t know Sony was capable of doing something like that.
After how good Ace Combat 7 was on the original PSVR with the Hotas flight stick (basically the best VR experience) this is sadly disappointing. What they need to do is add like another 5 VR missions to Ace Combat 7 and remaster it for PSVR2 and also make it so you can play the multiplayer in VR also. That would be super epic!!
Almost feels like false marketing, imo. I never heard of this game until last week and was really excited to check it out. I had no idea it was ever a flat game, so I expected a full vr experience.
After being bitten really badly by FWU (deleted that POS), I will not be buying any more PSVR2 games till at least 1 week after release to see how bad they are.
Same here. FWU was Sony's multiplayer FPS game, and it's easily the worst VRFPS I have ever played. Doesn't even play like a VRFPS, plays like something made for aliens. Just unbelievably clunky and unintuitive.. Least immersive shooter I've ever played, because all the controls are constantly fighting me. That game is abject trash.
Those will probably be flat games as well. There is no dev support for this thing. I said a couple months ago it seemed like they were intentionally trying to tank this headset. Now I know it.
Your review is spot on. It is a cool experience, but the missions feel long. You are happy to have them end and that means the gameplay wasn't that engaging.
yeah, its very disappointing... the advertising was pretty misleading, "If you go into battle with your PS VR2 as your flight helmet, you’ll feel the rush of combat across the **entire** game experience, too.". I would have been ok with 6 good missions, but they are pretty tedious. I was bored within 30mins completing first mission, waves of aircraft, no real tactics, your wingmen do nothing at all. why? just to extend gameplay time.. which is also why there is no checkpoint. and yeah, the graphics are 'ok' at best... tl;dr; dreadful cocktail of tedious gameplay, misleading promotion, and poor graphics :(
Simply no , its a flight game it not being completely in vr is just wasted potential, im not paying full price for a game im only going to play like 10% of
Ah man, I have to use the DUALSHOCK controller 😋 just a minor correction. Yeah, hopefully Aces of Thunder brings the hammer down and shows us how it's done. WHENEVER that may be lol
Dang there’s been just as many disappointments as there’s been good games. This game is basically a wave shooter in a jet..I’d pay $5 for the 6 missions…Hopefully the rest of October will be a banger.
What good games??? Lol. You got Resident Evil, GT7, Pavlov, Horizon, No Man’s Sky and…..well…..that’s about it. What a flop and waste of money. Mines up on eBay.

That sucks, looked super fun. At least we have Resident Evil 4 to look forward to, if they screw it up somehow, words will not be able to describe how upset I would be. Resident Evil 4 Remake is my favorite game of all time.
I have no faith at all in either of those games. I’m sure they’ll be just like this. A few missions in VR with the rest being flat. Selling mine now. Had enough.
Aces of Thunder could be sick, but at the same time.. Could be completely dead within the first week after launch because people just aren't great at flying.. I really really really hope it takes off, cause I love the concept of that game a whole bunch. It's like VTOL but WW2.. WW2TOL....
Honestly, I'm amazingly disappointed with the psvr2. Between the persistence issues and nearly every developer relying heavily on reprojection, i find the psvr2 experience pretty subpar. All the blurring and ghosting that occurs during fast head movements, really kills it.
A missed opportunity, I played it last night and I have to say it's fun, the regret remains that much more could have been done, all that remains is to wait for Ace combat.
This is just insane at this point. PSVR 2 games....lies, false advertising. This game looks WAY worse than ace combat on PSVR 1. WAY worse. Its super obvious sony is just in this in case vr gets VERY big.
Yup. Nothing but a money grab. It’s like having a really nice gun but they don’t make ammo to fit it. In a hear this thing will be seen as Sonys biggest failure. Next to the PS Vita. Guaranteed. Selling mine now.
I don’t think I could stomach a flight sim in VR. I played the smallest amount of Eve: Valkyrie when VR was ramping up some years back and it wasn’t a happy experience. Maybe now I’ve played so much more VR it’s worth revisiting but my memory is…nope.
This is more of a combat type of thing which is a bit harder to stomach than a regular flight sim like MSFS 2020. If you're doing stuff that's going to make you motion sick in a real flight simulator you're flying the plane wrong lol.
As you know, I don’t have a PSVR but I hope Sony sees how bad ports like this are ruining their sales. At least it appears that way to me. Where is their strict quality control?
I don't think that QC is as strict this time around. First gen they were WAY too strict. Lots of devs just didn't bother cause they didn't want to deal with Sony every time they pushed a patch. Not worth the extra work. This time I don't think they're nearly as critical. They seem far more keen on having devs actually make games for PSVR2 rather than push them away. That necessarily means more crap will go through quality control... And here we are. Means reviews are much more important this time around. If just to find out if the game is riddled with bugs or not.
@@JimmyNuisance I think Sony should at least change their return policy. I give Meta credit for allowing users to try the game out and return same if it’s not good or it’s not what they thought it would be. I seriously think devs (who I respect due to their hard work) are trying to get games out fast. I don’t think we should allow all these patches to make their game good! Back when they were all on discs, a game didn’t release unless it was almost perfect. Now, every gave comes out and patches later.
@@bluebell1 Aaaabsolutely they should change their return policy. I do not return many games on my quest, but I do buy way way way way more games on quest because I KNOW I can return them if they are bad. Sometimes I don’t even refund bad games, just cross my fingers hoping for a patch. Other times I return a game and rebuy it 6 months later once it’s sorted out.. With PSVR2 the games are more expensive and often launch extremely bugged, so I kinda just don’t buy psvr2 games anymore… last game I bought was Firewall, and I kinda think I’m done with being excited about psvr2 at this point… what an absolute piece of poop that game was. I wanted to refund it so SO much. That dev deserves zero sales. The patches they’ve been releasing so far haven’t solved much…just like firewall 1… they release patch notes, but the bugs just remain… at least they didn’t abandon this game 2 weeks after launch like they did with Solaris. Horrible dev who is only relevant because the psvr1 only really had one multiplayer fps.. they’re relevant because they were the only game in town for ages… I just don’t think anyone at sony plays VR. Can you envision Jim Ryan playing pavlov? Me neither…
I really need to wait till people like yourself bring out reviews instead of rushing in to buy games like its...horrendous..and first time had motion sickness

Completely agree with take but There is literally no way to call this an air sim or really compare it to one calling it an air arcade bullet heaven would explain the type of game it is better. No one should ever go into this expecting any form of sim. Other then that good job.

I was expecting this and everyone called me crazy at the time. "PSVR2 is going to save VR!" they said.. When the thing launched I already owned 95% of the launch catalog which was a pretty clear sign to me. I assumed it was just going to be ports of games already out on other VR systems with a few exclusives made by teams with no experience in VR tossed in, or worse yet, bad VR ports of flatscreen games that were never intended to be played in VR in the first place. Turns out that's pretty much what happened.
I've played about 250 hours of GT7, so for me it has been worth it JUST for that game.. But man.. If I didn't have GT7 I would have played the PSVR2 for less than 15 hours. Probably less than 10 even.. It's just horror games and indie ports.. ports of horror games mostly... It's been more than 6 months and we have _two_ multiplayer shooters.. Neither of which are amazing.. Pavlov has way too little content, too few maps.. Guns don't feel that great. Firewall Ultra is total trash that doesn't even play like a VR game. Plays like one of the PS3 games with the Sharpshooter... Could have been a Wii game with that control scheme.. Actually been thinking about just moving my PS5+PSVR2 into another room so I can have it hooked up to my racing rig 24/7. Why would I play anything else at this point? One game after the other just absolute rubbish.
Totally expected. Psvr 2 price tag is too expensive killing the vr markets true potential Forcing software developers to hang on to flat screen gaming because the psvr2 market is considerably smaller. Wake up Sony before its too late or is it already too late?

It is the most demanding workload possible in graphics and to run AAA games in VR is going to require something 3-4x performance of a current gaming console or mid range PC (at the time of release - "good enough" is a constantly moving target )
The future of VR hangs by a thread. It`s there for the taking if Valve want it ? But do they ?
Aces Of Thunder should be coming before years end. Built for PSVR2.
All eyes on Aces then
Das interessiert mich sowieso mehr. Project Wingman ist Geldverschwendung.

They won’t. This headset was nothing but a money grab. Selling mine.
As someone who was foolish to buy this one straight away. Your meh sounding comments are actually spot on.
I'm not saying it needs to be like DCS or even VTOL, but it needs to be more than "full throttle, point plane close to target, fire seeking missiles and some flares sometimes."
Instead, devs tend to make games that play sort of like Ace Combat did in the 90s..
Buy our game, it's like that!"
Pretty much the same as
"Remember Battle Arena Toshinden? Buy our game, it's like that!"
And before anyone throws their hat in the ring to defend Battle Arena Toshinden, play that game again...
I’ll avoid.

You’re the man! Great review! Sick beard
Thanx for the honesty that comes with watching Ur content! GG GT! 👊😎
Hotas controls would work. Ace combat 7 had a vr mode on psvr1. This kinda looks like it.

Appreciate you getting vids out so quick to help people make an informed decision. This one, in particular, feels like they misled people, and that's become a disheatening trend that's actually beginning to feel like the norm. I had no patience for that argument 6 months ago… I just couldn’t see sony dropping the ball this hard…. but today I’m sort of hoping it will go the way of the vita, because compared to the Vita, the psvr2 has been way more of a bummer… it becoming the next vita is a huge step up from where it is right now.. the vita sold more than 10 mill units and then the pirates killed the platform. That is much preferred over the path the psvr2 is taking, which is dying before it ever saw life.
Outside the bubble, literally no one cares about the psvr2. With the cost and the cable and the crummy games, PSVR2 is NOT going to see a boom in sales this xmas.. not when all the kids ask for quests.. q2 is back to 299.. and the q3 costs the same as just the psvr2 headset and controllers… but it’s all in, so daddy can play Diablo 4 on the ps5 while the kid is doing VR on their quest…

I cant emphasize enough how i long for ace combat zero and 5 on vr ill probably wait for an update
Complete miss. Not as advertised originally.
yeah, its very disappointing... the advertising was pretty misleading, "If you go into battle with your PS VR2 as your flight helmet, you’ll feel the rush of combat across the **entire** game experience, too.".

@@EyeForKnowledge. are you trolling? Resident Evil 4 Remake is coming in December and will be FULLY playable in VR. This game is hailed as one of the best games of all time, and Capcom has already proven itself with RE8. You're seriously going to miss out if you sell your headset now :D but ok :D GT just dropped another video showing Propagation Hotel and it looks FAR better than the Quest version, so you're bailing out quite prematurely I'd wager :D
I would prefer a flight stick or a joystick than the psvr motion controller game.
Great and true review, thx.
Your reviews are golden, people say things to just say it, But I appreciate the content really and truly... keep shining.
I love your reviews, coz you say if it looks shit or not..... And thats 90% of VR
Wait for aces of thunder
Agreed
It’ll more than like be the same deal. Only parts will be VR compatible. There is zero support for this thing. Just like the PS Vita, this thing is going to be a paperweight soon enough.
@@EyeForKnowledge. Aces of Thunder is a pure VR game. If only portions of it is in VR, that would be problematic.. Cause none of it is flat..
@@JimmyNuisance How do you know?
This was the final straw. Posted my launch PSVR2 for sale and pre-ordered the Quest 3.
120 games in 2023, whether it is mostly ports does nothing while the best of the PC are part of it.
@@econoinner_force954In a year this thing will be a $600 paper weight. The way PS Vita was. Guaranteed. Better get out while the gettin lg is good.
Most of the games coming out on PSVR2 are available on Quest and PCVR anyway. You're not going to miss out on much.
@@econoinner_force954 "whether it is mostly ports does nothing while the best of the PC are part of it."
The best of PCVR is definitely not ported to PSVR2... Alyx, Skyrim, Lone Echo 1 and 2, Into the Radius, Super Hot, Blade & Sorcery, Bonelabs, Boneworks, Vertigo, Wanderer, Windlands(did that come out?), Star Wars Squadrons, Elite Dangerous, DCS, IL-2, VTOL, Microsoft Flight Sim, iRacing, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Calzone, Dirt Rally, F1... The list goes on and on...
PSVR2 doesn't even have the best Quest games yet.. Nor will it ever, like my all time favorite Contractors VR will never see the light of day on the PSVR2 due to the mod support being too awesome.
I'm very disappointed with the path the PSVR2 took, but I've seen enough first-year-of-a-console to know that the first year is _always_ disappointing. Just HD remakes and ports 24/7.
That sucks, looked super fun. At least we have Resident Evil 4 to look forward to, if they screw it up somehow, words will not be able to describe how upset I would be. Resident Evil 4 Remake is my favorite game of all time.
That sucks. Still got Aces of Thunder and Ultrawings 2 hopefully.
If it's arcade like they should have referenced after burner from sega.
This is getting very predictable now.
Ta, for that. Will wait. Glad I didn’t drop cash, I’d been hopeful for this. Keep it up fella.
Only 6 missions with PSVR2 is a shame and such a miss.
Great review thankyou
this review was hard to follow because you didn't really differentiate between the pcvr version. It sounds like an entirely different game
I was so close to buying this,, bullet dodged lol
Horrible dev who is only relevant because the psvr1 only really had one multiplayer fps.. they’re relevant because they were the only game in town for ages…
I just don’t think anyone at sony plays VR. Can you envision Jim Ryan playing pavlov? Me neither…
I’ll wait for sale/avoid. Such a shame
I really need to wait till people like yourself bring out reviews instead of rushing in to buy games like its...horrendous..and first time had motion sickness
GT
do uou know has this game got any better at all since its launch?
Its £20 in the sale but still feeling its still over priced
Cheers bro
Bravo team 2 for the win.....
Completely agree with take but There is literally no way to call this an air sim or really compare it to one calling it an air arcade bullet heaven would explain the type of game it is better. No one should ever go into this expecting any form of sim. Other then that good job.
Honestly. Psvr2 is doing exactly what i thought... bad game after bad game... i played only 20hrs total... should have waited.

@@econoinner_force954120 games in 2023. Of them, 7 are worthy of spending money on.
@@Thezuule1 More Sony money grabbing.
