the USB hum sucks but it CAN sample from any class compliant devices over USB. It is both in and out. You must use a looper track to record the sample, it will save as a .wav then you can use it as a synth or load on a drum pad.
Roland should of just added 1/4 inputs for sampling to the 101 my god…At least make new firmware update to be able to sample over usb from Any device. Also they need to fix the HUGE signal interference when the mc101 is connected to a desktop computer that is plugged in. It’s atrocious
