  • Tata is executing an overhaul of its model line-up and one of its early products of the revival is the Bolt compact hatchback.
How big an improvement is the budget-oriented Bolt compared with its unrefined predecessors? And, given the competition from top-selling brands, should you consider the Bolt at all?

Hai.. I use TATA BOLT XT REVTRN in India for the last 2.5 years which has slight differences from this one. It has a spacious rear seat which has 60:40 split option which is convenient for more luggage and permits rear seat travel alongside. Also it's Rear badge include only BOLT. Within these last 2 years I haven't felt any hassle as U mentioned and the car is getting smooth day by day. U haven't mentioned about the Drive Modes and the 4 star safety standards of the car. The low mileage may be due to the 1 tonne weight of the car which makes it sturdy and well planted on road, and the suspension tuning is the best in this class. When it was launched in 2015, this was the only car in this price range having a 4.7" touchscreen Infotainment system mated with 8 speakers, Voice Command Recognition and Offline Navigation feature. It's huge size and road presence along with it's spacious cabin gives me a feel that I'm driving a luxury sedan with great built-quality and features. The blackened B-pillar with glossy black inserts at rear and dual tone bumpers gives a Land Rover feel. With the happiest ownership and deep satisfaction, I say all other negative comments are meaningless.

the fact that it stalled in the cold and they didn't really fix it is a bit concerning..this model is a huge step forward though, dont know why everyone is asking for Ciro its after all a car channel not Ciro channel...

While Ciro is good, Juliet is a refreshing change and works just as well. Ciro would never manage getting into the back seat from the front.

Tata has been doing good job in recent years.. More interesting and out of the box design language.. Unlike conventional...
Hexa is underrated but its more good looking then Toyota innova.
New bees like tata nexon... Best alrounder best value for money.
I thought tata will soon close their shops if continued on old fucked design based on tats indicia... Small tweeks on tail lamp and head lamp design will not impress customers..
They did it for some years.. And finally new refreshing designs... Omg I still can't believe nexon is tata.s good job by designing team... Looks like they had fired old uncles from their design. Team... These new designs say the designer are young and creative....

The Sandero is a better buy with better dealer network as well as a better turbo engine. It also comes with a better 5 year 150000km warranty and a 2 year 30000km service plan. Also safety wise the Sandero is better getting ESP amd hill hold as standard across the range unlike its rivals that have none of this. The Sandero is the best car in this segment. The Etios is just a diabolical cheap tin can that feels cheap and drives cheaply and the Vivo is completely outdated and lacks comfort or convenience features....it basically has no features. The Sandero strikes the perfect balance between the sparse and outdated but relatively refined Vivo and the slightly more feature filled yet cheap feeling Etios. The Tata on the other hand....well it's a Tata and until they get a bigger dealer network and more cars that can impress people, I don't see this selling amywhere near as well as the rest.

Back home in India this is exactly how we portrayed the Chinese smartphones, when they came to our market!!
People weren't accepting that the Apples, Samsungs, Sony, HTC Motorola all were manufactured in China.!! Now you see... they rule the world market.
The Volkswagen's these dumbasses talking about is just a dumped outdated trash (which also comes from here in Chakan, Pune serving in two batches ones for 1st world like Europe and America and other for confused third world countries like South Africa, Australia etc. and then there is local assembly based on local inputs) while those which were fairly newer models like Renault Duster a, EcoSport etc. to all the way to Mercedes, Audi, BMWs that sell there in South Africa are actually imported via after assembling India either Chennai, Oragadam or Pune near Pimpri, Chakan or Rajangaon. Same as this manufacturer who have plants in Pimpri and Rajangaon.
Toyota is even worse of the lot!! They are manufactured in tin scrap dealer shops of China, and South East Asia. Does it ring bells now??? 😁😁😁😁😁.
So please read this comment and memorise it before reviewing any car again.
