Tata has embarked on the Generation Next initiative to bring a bevy of new cars to market that will be benefiting from the design and technology that they have amassed over a 70-year period. First on that list is the new Tata bolt, and it sure was an eye opener.

I do not think there is any cross-over technology from Jaguar Land Rover - well nothing noticeable. The Bolt is based on the Vista platform. But yes when you drive it, you wonder if one of the Jag-LandRover engineers sleepwalked over to the Tata production line and fiddled with the chassis a bit. Absolutely loved driving the Tata Bolt.

JLR has nothing to do with bolt although tata owns JLR, why would tata take JLR design and tech and put into its cars? that would put both JLR image and tata co on the line, wouldn't it?

You must be driving it like you stole it ..... and then some. I am pretty much getting a average of 15.5 to 16 km/ltr. Have never seen less than 14.8. When I am out on deliveries during the day when traffic is a bit less hectic and it is half stop and go and half open highway, I get 16.8 to 17km/ltr
