You're the best clouds painter in the world Tobi I'm learning a lot thanks to you...i hope in future you'll do another bright and white cumulus ... thanks for your lessons
Thank you so much :-)))) Yes, I will definitely do more cumulous paintings in the future, those are also one of my favourite kind of clouds to paint :-)))
Beautifully painted, my man!! 😮❤❤ Could you please verbalise if you have a yellow bluish colour, and a red bluish color, and a grey bluish colour and so on? And what parts get which bluish colour? Like,,if it’s the highlight, the shadows, the … I don’t know … neutral parts of the clouds? I feel like I need to understand more of the color blends. Thank you so much for your work, and for sharing! Definitely subscribing right away!!❤
Thank you :-) I use 7 base colours to mix my pools of colour. Good question... ;-))) I think I got used to my set of flats, small detail and blender brushes and never really thought about using a filbert...perhaps I will try to use one in the future :-)))
Incredible!!! I need to take a few days and binge-watch all of your videos so I can be all caught up (ha)! Okay, first, I didn't even KNOW there are water soluble oil paints for art until YOU mentioned them and now I HAVE to try them! I've been just learning to use acrylics which frustrate me so much because of the patience required (very hindering to the creative flow) and I have a love/hate with the quick-drying. Can I be nosy and ask if your accent French? You have a lovely, calming speaking voice btw. =)
Thank you :-))) I`m not sure if you`ll be happy with the water mixable oils - they require a much longer drying time than the acrylics. But on the other hand, only oils/water mixable oils allow to really blend the colours on the painting surface. Acrylics are basically dry the moment you apply them - this allows a very quick way of building layer after layer but the "fine blending" is not really possible like with the oils. I come from Germany btw ;-))))
@@brennerfineart Yes, I might get a small starter set and try it out on a small canvas just to give it a whirl. I have two cats so wet paint and cat fur...=0)) The thing that drives me bonkers with acrylics is that they 'dry' fast but don't 'cure' fast which means if I apply new layers too soon, the new paint eats through the layer of paint beneath (sometimes all the way down to the canvas argh!) or creates 'holes and wrinkles' in the paint. Blow-drying doesn't even work either. Just old-fashioned time. Ahhhhhhh German! I swear your accent sounds French but perhaps it's your speaking tone. =)
@@angelseraph139 Yes...I quit fooling around with acrylics decades ago ;-)))) And I never regretted to do so...oils need some time and that is the really big advantage when it comes to blending. AND they stay true to their wet appearance unlike acrylics that try to pretend to be another colour but when they dry their REAL face appears ;-)))) Try water mixable oils, really way easier when you have several paintings at the same time so that you can let one painting dry while you work on the next :-)))
@@brennerfineart Okay, I'm convinced! I'm so excited to try them and I usually have a few paintings going at a time so that I always have something to work on so that having one drying while working on another one would totally fit for me. I really appreciate your time and advice. You are a doll! XOXO
Gorgeous and amazing! You're so talented! Do you wait a long time between putting on different layers? Or do you keep going on with the painting while it's still wet?
@@danieljohnson6954 I have to see if it will fit in one day in the schedule - I get so many requests of that kind that I can`t tell straight "I will definitely do it". So, maybe I can do one of these one day.
Let me know what I did wrong :-))) As I already said in a comment, no one can learn how to paint in 4 years or 6 years or 60 years :-))))) So of course I am NOT perfect :-))) Although I wish I would be....*sigh*

Thank you so much Kevin :-))) Usually I do the underpainting and wait until that layer is completely dry befor I apply the next layer(s) of colour.
I'll definately be trying one of your clouds and techniques in one of the weeks to come.
Awesome job. Keep up the work. You rock. ;)
