I only hade ME for 12 years and I feel with all of you. In Sweden we don’t get any sick pay. After working 20 years full time and now I have to live of my wife’s income. ME isn’t a diagnosis and therefore your not sick even if I can’t get outside my house or out of the bed most days. So I’m grateful that people take about this pest of a disease.

Dear Vlad, let me tell you how your ME diary has helped me in a very concrete way: When I got sick 18 months ago I suddenly had to come to terms with losing a whole lot of mental and physical ability that I had previously taken for granted. But my illness is slow and insidious and has a sort of "frog in boiling water" effect on my psyche. As a result I realize that some very unpleasant voices started to play in head. I started calling myself "lazy, stupid and a massive underachiever." The latter is the most difficult because I know I am not living up to my potential despite whatever motivation and desire I may feel.
Then I started watching your channels and the other day I caught myself saying to myself: "Vlad didn't put out a video this week quite when I was expecting one :) Is he lazy, stupid or an underachiever? Most certainly not! He has Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. That's all. Now why can't you be as nice to yourself when you don't write the chapter you had every intention of finishing today because your condition simply won't let you right now?" That was a much more helpful conversation for me to have with myself so thanks for giving me that insight by speaking out about your health in the way that you do!

Vlad, I really really hope "Long Covid" will help our case. I gave up to get any help from doctors. I can literally feel like the shutters go down in their brains when you talk to them about being soooooooooo tired. I take some medication against anxiety and try to ignore the pain.
If I hadn't used up all my energy for today already, I would have send you some. I will do it tomorrow, promise.

Before discovering you on TH-cam I had never heard of ME, and I'm a biomedical engineering university student who would have reasonable grounds to expect to have been made aware of more illnesses than the average person by now. What are things you want people in the health sciences and also the general public to know about ME (other than its easily googlable definition and basic facts)?

    Thank you Vlad. Thank you!
I wonder if you could enlighten me a little bit about who those bad actors really are. Cospiracy theorists or the medical community?

It boils down to "Primum non nocere" doesn't it? (Of course we'd like some other stuff to happen after the first thing but...)

Vlad, idk why I click like on You Tube and it doesn't stay clicked. Sometimes it will take 3-4 me going back to the video and clicking like before it sticks. It happens on all channels not just yours. Any idea why?

My dearest Vlad, I have been looking into the about ME and I was wondering have you tried Chinese medicine? It’s quite good at chronic diseases. I am just trying to help somehow.
