I actually run Jin and Lier in a deck and reached diamond with it. Lier is pretty good against pure control because they can’t counter my spells and thanks to the fact Lier and Jin basically allow me to cast the same card 4 times at best I don’t need to counter stuff that much. It’s a weird balance but it works, especially great if the opponent steals Jin because it’s not that hard to remove after and they most likely don’t run creature specific protections like I do.
I love games like these (15:05) where you can have such a dominating board and the opponents slams a 7 mana titan on the board and everything is open again. Thats a fun meta where thats possible
When I saw your deck and that you have Jizzle and Lier together, I was wondering how long it takes until Lier shuts down either a Jin counter or a ward ability. It happens at 26:38 :) And I'm totally sure opponent knew exactly how it worked, the played very well the whole time. Great match!
Dude I love watching when you win (first game was insane) and normally get salty with you when you don't, but these two games that you lost where actually very enjoyable as well. I loved to see the opponent do smart plays, play fun decks and yes, sometimes get lucky too. Thanks mate! Great content!

Met CGB at Lantern Games in Travers City MI. Played a game of commander and he signed some tokens for me. The entire crew from The Worst possible Commander Show are great. A fun time was had
That last match reminded me of a game yesterday. I managed to draw 17 of my 23 lands (excluind DFC like Jwari) in my top 25 cards while opponent top decked everything we needed. Managed to win the game after I survived the first half of my deck, since the bottom half were all spells.
27:27 am I wrong or "all attack" would be lethal? there are six attackers and three blockers. the least damage they take is 10, without considering the wondering emperor's counter... The only thing I can think of is a ray of enfiblement on the 7/8, but I don't think that deck runs it... Or am I missing something? :O In any case, that was a much more epic way to close the game! Love the video!
One of my favorite decks, I've been playing a version without Lier and Archon instead and it has been working really well. I still need to try out the blue March.
@@kensw87 my version is more control. 4 doomskars / 2 devastating mastery/ array of counterspells/ only 2 invoke/ 3 kairi and 2 warden ( i might work those numbers more and add a jin gitaxas but the balance is ok for now) I also have protection spells for kairi that i keep against exile efffects and i run memory deluge. the idea is to have a powerful finisher in kairi or warden to finish off the oponent once you've stabilised. blowing up the first kairi is actually pretty important to get the value and get exactly the cards you need. 😄Once you get an invoke and a kairi and a juicy graveyard you can lock the game its really cool
I made this a Jeskai version of the Boros velomachus deck awhile ago. Faithful mending and kairi is just so good in the deck. Kairi is another card that utilizes dragon fire and for 6! jin and leir are kinda meme creatures. throw in a 1-of hinata ( flying trample good) makes justice 1 cheaper, dragon fire cheaper and ofc mist march. And you can still play the best card in standard - fable.
At 25:00 would it be possible to play sanctuary warden, place the shield counter on Jin, play doomskar, and jwari disruption the copy of doomskar? That kills everything on board except Jin, I think.
Any pile would look good if you draw the nuts every turn lmao. Although, I think that deck wasn't bad. We know that Jenny Fae + Greeters is a good combo from New Capenna Open. Despite the fact it's hard to play well. The hideaway cards have been surprisingly good. Other than that, it's cards that have been good a while like Chariot and Partners with Jetmir who is likely the best pump spell in standard since Embercleave. I bet it's inconsistent but explosive.

Can we have every two color variation of Storm the Festival decks? I created 4 by mistake when making a HB deck and I later learned that I love the card. Also I'd love to see different 2 to 3 color combos of Yorion in explorer. Love you King, happy magicking
All I know is doing a Jin copy to Invoke Justice two massive creatures is one of the greatest things. I have a similar deck which uses Old Stickfingers to fill up the graveyard, my favorite play ever was to Invoke Justice on Jin, then a double Invoke Justice on Toxril and Xanathar, 9/9 11/11 9/10 Jin/Toxril/Xanathar, of course they scooped.
at 18:33 why did you assign blocker order that way? you could have killed the token for free and only needed to do the remaining 1 damage to the original titan of industry to remove its shield counter..
I tried the Justice Guild deck. I believe it works better with 2 Fading Hope, 4 Fateful Absence, and 2 of: Gitaxias, Lier, and Hullbreaker Horror. I removed jiwari disruption, the Celestus, and one Emperor. In standards, the deck needed more bodies and more removal.
I love this deck! However, I pair well against it because I've played the same guy using this list in mythic twice and beat him both times. Sorry AVK47 if you read this, but you have good taste because this deck is super fun to use.

I wonder if the Kraken would work better than Lier with Jinnie, since Jinnie's counter is shutdown by Lier. That said, I beat this deck the other day with rakdos bombard deck because jinnie only blocks the first spell you cast to trigger the bombard. I actually thought I was toast when Jinnie came down, but it didn't help my opponent much vs that deck. Jinnie got wiped by the invoke despair the bombard triggered.
If you would have put the 4 counters on Kairi rather than the spirit token I think that would have been game. You got the attack in next turn clean with no flying blocker and the opponent was at 12. :(
Pre-rotation Velomachus is still the superior reanimation choice out of an Invoke Justice. After rotation, it's hard to say if the deck still has legs.

I recently ran Leir with Jin & Hullbreaker then proceeded to have an absolute blast watching people scoop late game.

I was on gatherer trying to figure out why LIer and Jin weren't a nonbo when the nonbo was discovered.
