    Van, Bus or Box Truck. This will be the question in my head in the next 12 months.
    Van:
    Pros = Easier to maneuver around a city, can go stealth, better for longer travel
    Cons = Smaller Space
    Bus:
    Pros = Bigger space
    Cons = Harder to go stealth
    Box Truck
    Pros = Bigger space (depending on size), stealth to look like a delivery truck
    Cons = Bulkier, harder to get around
    I was thinking of maybe a moped or even a micro car to tug along. At this point though, a box truck looks more promising.

  • @LilyBecca
    @LilyBecca 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    What if you have to poop in the middle of the night? Or what if you are sick with the runs and need to hit the toilet repeatedly for 24 hours? I plan on getting a dry flush toilet.
    Mymust-havee list is a hydraulic bed, toilet, shower, and a pocket door to the cab.
    I think a box truck is better than a van because they are more affordable and because you get a square, so it's so much easier to build and furnish. The angles and curves in the van are too complicated for this do it yourself gal. It's just insane right now how much vans are going for. I was looking for a used one, already built out, and the cheapest one that I would be ok with was $60k. If you wan tto do it yourself, you're looking at $30-$40k just for the van. If you have a shop do your conversion, that's another $50-$100k and most of them are pretty generic without a lot of choices or customization allowed. I'm sorry, but for $100k to $150k all in, I want to be able to choose my layout and fabrics and materials and color scheme.
    I then started looking at some converted vans for sale in Europe, and even with the cost of shipping to the USA, it would still be way cheaper than buying a finished campervan here. Also, the materials and craftsmanship and storage efficiency was overall much more clever and years ahead of what I was seeing domestically. I then looked it up and found that it is legal for the driver to be on the wrong (right) side. I was surprised! I'm not sure how I would feel about driving a large vehicle on the right side, but if I could hamdle it and get used to it, there are some amazing campervans for sale!!

    Nice build. But it loses major points for lack of a toilet. I will never understand people putting in a shower over a toilet. There is nothing worse than needing a toilet and not having one. A daily shower can be had at any local gym, public beach, or pool. $20/mo gives 24/7 access to Planet Fitness or 24 Hour Fitness showers. I shower at the gym as much as I do at home, anyways. But I hate hate hate using disgusting public restrooms and avoid it as much as possible.
