Repeat question so others can find the answer more easily: Has WizKids mentioned anything about content distribution to you, Theo? 16:48 - Yeah, Dragonne's (now Liondrake's) have been around for a long time in D&D! Their origins are unknown but well, you know how Dragons will mate with anything. :P In a lot of aspects they are like Chimerae - low intelligence, solitary hunters (they cannot even tolerate other Dragonnes unless they are mating) and live on plains where they hunt for food. However unlike Chimerae, they are not evil and unless game is scarce, they will leave caravans and travelers alone. They will react aggressively when someone tries to hunt or settle in their territory, though. They speak draconic and the language of Sphinxes, and their roar attack (which is nasty to warriors as it can sap their strength in half, at least in 2E) is quite sphinx-like, so maybe their ancestry lies there too. Despite their loner outlook and temper, those who can prove their worth in combat to a Dragonne might coerce them into serving as mounts. Anyone from Djinni to Moon Elves to the Zhentarim and Dwarves used them in this capacity. We actually do have a Dragonne mini, back from War Drums of the WotC sets, though that is a male with a mane and much more pronounced brass scales. Nolzur's has a listing for a male Liondrake too, so hopefully we can get that prepainted too!
i love all those dragon Wyrmling's! i had a campaign where an adult crystal dragon taken care a band of orphan metallic and chromatic dragon wyrmlings. she was named Mallownym the motherly and my party help her babysit her 16 babies she had with her during our trip.
@@TheGallantGoblin yes she taken care of them all and treated them like her kids. When they were all getting tired our bard played a lullaby and me as the teifling druid made them little trinkets for their hoards as a gift.
Yeah, I have the chest and keg minis and their original / normal shape. But they created the outhouse mimic but no outhouse yet. I agree, we should get alternates / normal items to make people freak out. Though, they had the traditional treasure pile, but that was medium / large at best.
08:31 - It's not just you! They are adorable! :D I wanted a mini of this artwork from Fizban's the moment I saw it... Has such a nice big head with expressive eyes!
Amazing video as always, and amazing set ! I can also see you received your DF Wildlands Pledge, how great (I am still waiting for mine). Greetings from France and thank you for such great videos.
Some of this set looks so great. But many of the commons and uncommons leave much to be desired from a paint perspective. I feel like they dumped most of the budget into those big Rares. I was hoping for more given the ridiculous price on this. But I know that’s based on all the massive Huge-sized Rares.
This video was such an awesome way to present these minis. I had no idea Fizban's had so many cleverly designed monsters. I just chalked it up to more Wizard's garbage. Now I want to own half these minis and grab a copy of Fizban's. Thanks for another great video.
lot of cool ones in this set, like the moonstone dragon a lot and the eyedrake and kobolds and etc lol i like the dinner format, pretty fun. only problem i have is that i dont get some of the food :P
Local FLGS has 20% off so ordered a brick and wooo rolled a nat 20!! Got all the Draconians, all the kobolds, Bathtub mimic, Moonstone & Crystal Dragons. For the 2 big boxes: The Dragonnel & the The Dragonflesh Abomination. Didn't get Fizban or the Horde Mimic but overall can't complain :D The faces are starting to look like faces and eyes are in the right place on every single monster & npc. The machines pumping these minis out are getting better & better!!
I home brewed an item called a Drac in the Box that has a progressively increasing chance the more actions you devote to it at summoning a dragon Wyrmling to fight for you for 1 minute.
It is a gorgeous set but if the MSRP of the Superbooster is true, then I might just buy more premium dragons instead. At least I will know what I will be getting. My favourite is the Moonstone Dragon - great sculpt and colour scheme. The size of the Dragonnel is very impressive.
I had used a green dragon wyrmling as a sort of necromancer for a 3rd level one shot. Any creature killed by their poison breath would rise as a zombie on the next round.
As Grady commented on this too, and now seeing it in your hand, agreed, the Dragonnel is easily the size of an Adult Dragon premium. Getting this from a 40$ super-booster is indeed a good deal (well, depends on whether super-boosters will be ever sold separately, have not seen any listed yet anywhere).
Man. I’m afraid these price spikes are gonna kill Wizkids. Like yeah this is the most exciting set I’ve seen in a while, but 600 dollars? Are they out of their minds?
This set is so nutsy expensive and over the top. It's a great set but the pricing is totally disappointing. Is there any info anywhere on how to get all of the wyrmling promos at 30:20? I can only see the crystal one as a preorder bonus
I created a black dragon wyrmling named Andrafell to be a low-level threat to my players. She rules over a clan of troglodytes and sends them out to ambush merchants and claim their cargo, while the troglodytes get to eat anyone they kill or capture. My players weren't expecting to face her at the end of the cave, which was half-flooded so she could use the water to avoid attacks and force the players to separate. Even a baby dragon can be a challenging fight when handled right.
A few duds, but a mostly good set. Come on WotC/Wizkids, if you need to put a creature on a huge base, isn't it really just a huge creature? Lol. I love the art/mini design for the Chosen, Blessed, and Speaker.
As always, thanks for the view of each mini. Much appreciated! I’m still getting a case of these but the inclusion of the large exclusive in the collector set seriously irks me. Knowing the choice is either the exclusive Hollow Dragon or multiples of draconians/kobolds/Dragonborn is pretty crappy.
I really do think they could do with a fizbans mini set #2 or something like snowbound. Great set, there’s just a lot missing and a few curious minis for this set
Great video as always! Thankfully I can take a break for this set with the increased prices and number of product glad I can give my wallet a break. Definitely going to pick up the brain in a jar if it’s not too expensive since that’s a mini I have wanted for a while (and probably should have been in Van Richten’s). Everything else I can pass on unless a player ever wants to play as one of these Dragonborn for their character. I have never been a big dragon person and don’t feature them heavily in my home games unless they are a final boss kind of thing. For that the couple of minis I already have definitely suffice.
I haven't looked through the Fizban's book yet, I got it on Beyond, and I just have trouble reading it on a computer, I usually get the physical books as well to reference at home, then Beyond when playing. So, I'm just basing this on your review here...but as a classic DragonLance lover, I'm not too happy with the Draconian changes they've made. They are cool minis though...Then the Aurak (I don't remember what the new names are) not being gold kinda ruins using it in any War of the Lance era campaigns, since only metallic dragon eggs were corrupted at that point. Regarless, this looks like a set I might actually invest in. The super case seems more expensive than I want to invest in...but I may have to, depends on the after market...
I do not understand the reasoning, and it seems like they're just picking them at random. If there was more of a method to the madness we could make better spending choices.
Yeah, likely the price is because of the many heads and the paint needed. At least that's how we reasoned with the price of the giant Tiamat too, but these days, prices seem to be arbitrary at best...

Look at it this way, the Super Boosters will be a pretty nice lottery if sold separately. I think all of those Huge Rares will be greatly sought after.
Dragonflesh crafter abomination gives me ideas for an Altered Beast story... cool! Even though the colors of the draconians don't match the classics, I want them, they look like a green dragon started playing magically with them, the personal guard of the green dragon high lord! it sounds fantastic until you see the prices. Great video.
Thanks again guys for your awesome reviews! :) And gotta say this is probably going to be one of my top 10 favourite sets. I love Dragons and related draconic creatures and this is full to the brim with them! Aside that unnecessary Vine Blight I think I love all of these. This is also a groundbreaking set in many ways - never before did we have Common Wyrmlings, nor Uncommon Huge Dragons before. Weird issues with sizes again though - many creatures are far bigger than their real size, others smaller... That Metallic Peacekeeper could fit on a Medium base, while the Hydroloth is more of a Large! And I do hope same way as we got a real Tridrone, we will get a real Draconic Infiltrator in the future. Btw, about the Draconians - we did get 3 of the traditional Krynn Draconians (who are made of Metallic stock) in this set, the Baaz, Bozak and Sivak. I really hope despite there being no art for them in the book, we can get the Aurak and Kapak too. While there are older minis of them, they are nowhere this nice looking. Agreed on your request, wish we had a Mimic Warband set that came with non-transformed, regular versions of the items they, well, mimic. The Door Mimic can be turned around but the others are not so easy to view without spoiling what they are.

It should, yes. Each brick still has 8 boxes but only 6 are the normal ones where you get 3 small or medium minis and 1 large or huge mini. The remaining 2 are the "super booster" boxes which only contain 1 mini each. However, the way the rarity distribution is, you should get one of each of the super booster minis, and then the regular boxes will get you the remaining rares.
I am from China. The video owner may not understand it, but I still want to ask where the orange transparent dragon appeared at the end of the video came from. In fact, dnd is very unpopular in China. It is difficult for China players like me who are keen on collecting chess pieces to have a purchase channel in their own country. Except for the orange dragon in the main video, I basically started and had a purchase address, but I searched for it for a long time at home and abroad, such as Amazon and other shopping websites. There is no purchase channel for this dragon.Ask the video broadcaster if there is a purchase channel for this dragon.😊
Hello! I think you are referring to the Hollow Dragon mini. That one was exclusively found in the WizKids Fizban's Collector's Box, which retails for $750 USD. Most likely you would have to order it directly from WizKids. I hope this helps. shop.wizkids.com/products/pre-order-d-d-icons-of-the-realms-miniatures-fizbans-treasury-of-dragons-collector-s-edition-box
I think you can order the complete set for $787+ tax & shipping from DND Mini. It’s the official WizKids site for D&D minis. Just be aware that anything you purchase from there comes at 5% more than MSRP, as they’ve baked in a 5% “surcharge”. I quote it because while they’ve passed on that surcharge to suppliers, and thus suppliers to retailers, most retailers were already selling product for a slight discount off the original MSRP. So retailers often pass that 5% increase along to their customers, only the new price still doesn’t reflect even the MSRP. For example, the online shop GameNerdz used to sell WizKids minis at 25% off the MSRP. But once the surcharge hit, they decreased the savings to just 20% off. They’re still the cheapest place in the U.S. to buy WizKids minis online, but the savings isn’t as great as it used to be. Miniature Market is another place, and they’ll price match most items if you reach out to them via email. I’ve had some really bad experiences with them, as have several others on the minis gallery. So proceed there with caution. I haven’t seen the Fizban’s Collectors Edition (that gets you one of everything, including all the promos) at GameNerdz or Miniature Market yet. Maybe they’ll pop up eventually. However, if you are okay with not getting all the promos, you can pre-order a booster case from either GameNerdz or MM right now. You’re still likely to get every mini in the core set, which is everything you saw displayed on the turntable in this video. Cases also cost significantly less, with this one going for $560 at GameNerdz and $600 at MM. The other reason for a case is getting multiples of certain minis, usually more than one of every non-Rare. If you’re a collector-only, simply looking to show them off on a shelf, it might be more appealing to spend the extra money for fewer minis, but also the promos. But if you’re a DM that utilizes these at his or her table, grabbing the booster case is going to be a better deal. Sorry for the onslaught of words. But I hope that answers some or all of your questions. Feel free to ask any follow up questions or stop in over at the minis gallery website and ask your questions in the forum there.

You mean Krynn, I assume? ;) Fizban is just the alias he uses in Krynn where he is known as the god Paladine. He and Takhisis were always assumed to be different versions of Bahamut and Tiamat, but this was only confirmed in 5E D&D.
@@commanderbbshockwave8698 Actually bahumat was a god of greyhawk not forgotten realms "first edition forgotten realms wasn't even a thought." although now they are claiming stuff for that world. its just that wizards of the coast is kind of stealing Creatures and gods for the forgotten realms and screwing with the uniqueness of the other worlds. for instance the tortle was never ever from forgotten realms. it was a unique creature of mystara . along with the choker and some other creatures. Meen while people that write or create books for other worlds are not allowed to publish those books for the other worlds. i love all those dragon Wyrmling's! i had a campaign where an adult crystal dragon taken care a band of orphan metallic and chromatic dragon wyrmlings. she was named Mallownym the motherly and my party help her babysit her 16 babies she had with her during our trip.
Oh my! That’s amazing! That’s a lot of dragons! -Theo
@@TheGallantGoblin yes she taken care of them all and treated them like her kids. When they were all getting tired our bard played a lullaby and me as the teifling druid made them little trinkets for their hoards as a gift.
that bathtub mimic...it will be used for interesting encounters
Thank you!! -T
Liking the number of dragon "minis" included in this pack; bone golem's detail looks great!
Fun story, by the way! I too love garlic on basically everything. It is spicy, healthy and as a bonus, keeps away ticks and vampires! :P
Thank you, Paladin! Glad you enjoyed the video and the set! -T
lot of cool ones in this set, like the moonstone dragon a lot and the eyedrake and kobolds and etc lol
i like the dinner format, pretty fun. only problem i have is that i dont get some of the food :P
I’ll save ya a serving! -T
Nice, congratulations!
very nice set ,very nice video ,you are the best keep up the good work, ty
I love the dragon speaker mini I like the gnome hat
As Grady commented on this too, and now seeing it in your hand, agreed, the Dragonnel is easily the size of an Adult Dragon premium. Getting this from a 40$ super-booster is indeed a good deal (well, depends on whether super-boosters will be ever sold separately, have not seen any listed yet anywhere).
Can't wait for the promo vid
Man. I’m afraid these price spikes are gonna kill Wizkids. Like yeah this is the most exciting set I’ve seen in a while, but 600 dollars? Are they out of their minds?
It really looked like Fizban was holding a water pistol initially.
That'd not be out of character for the old coot and his sense of humor! :P
Woe definitely one of the best sets I have seen. So many great minis in this set. Great video Theo !
Thank you, Rob! -T
This set is so nutsy expensive and over the top. It's a great set but the pricing is totally disappointing.
Is there any info anywhere on how to get all of the wyrmling promos at 30:20? I can only see the crystal one as a preorder bonus
Working on a video explanation now! Stay tuned! -T
ikr like give me something I want for $15 or $100
i can't wait until this set comes out
thanks for this. it saves me money when i go to buy them
The two mimics were the lobster bisque of the selection for me.
Definitely the best part!
Nice idea
A few duds, but a mostly good set. Come on WotC/Wizkids, if you need to put a creature on a huge base, isn't it really just a huge creature? Lol. I love the art/mini design for the Chosen, Blessed, and Speaker.
I like the new format.
Thank you, Wes!
Thank you! Yeah I hear you. I wish they had other options. -T
Can't wait to get my hands on all kobolds and the eyedragon...
Stilled a little pissed about the hollow drake...
Can we see your full mini collection?
The hydra dragon is the same size as the biggest mini in this set but costs 100 to 130? The prices for these things are all over the place.
I've never seen a miniature with a hurdy gurdy. That gnome is the first one
Sun's out... Guns out, Theo!!!
If I’m gonna keep wearing tanks for these videos, I’m gonna have to get to the gym more often! 😂

Thanks for sharing
Not a fan of the split boosters but I'm gonna try to get some good minis out of this
Look at it this way, the Super Boosters will be a pretty nice lottery if sold separately.
I got a black dragon wyrmling in one of the boosters but it was missing it’s head…
It released yesterday, got me a case... LOVE IT
Thanks again guys for your awesome reviews!
Hi guy. I have been following your show for years. Big fan. And you once sent me some pic of orcs from epic encounters with wizKid orcs so I could see size comparison. I really appreciate that thank you.. I am not a supporter for any show or site. If if it’s any consolation to you, I’m seriously considering it for you guys. Just don’t want the wife to kill me. Lol let me see if I can get over that hurdle.

Did I miss the video on the Hollow Dragon, or did you not make one on it (yet)?
We covered it as part of the unboxing when we received the collector box set. The timestamps/timeline should show where it starts: th-cam.com/video/qcEh4XUHs_s/w-d-xo.html
@@TheGallantGoblin Thanks, I have to admit that one got lost in the deluge of new videos every day.
awesome vid as always dude. But oh man that price point for the ancient red vs the price of the ancient white is awful. And is it just me or has the wizkids quality gotten worse? Ive now lost count of how many of these dragons are coming broken :(
i like the review with the cooking maybe instruction or the recipe
Recipe is up there in the pinned comment for you! :-) -Theo
Great video. Can't wait to get my case. Hoping the distribution is similar to recent sets and I can get at least one copy of each mini.
Also, I'm interested in your curry recipe. Looks good. You can't just show something like that and not provide the recipe.
Thank you!! You should get one of each in a case. And here's the recipe I used as a base. I altered it up a bit. Added more garlic for a start! www.justonecookbook.com/pressure-cooker-japanese-curry/
@@TheGallantGoblin Has WizKids mentioned anything about distribution to you, Theo? If the bricks contain six regular boosters (4 minis per box, 24 total) and 2 super boosters (1 mini per box, 2 total), that means a full brick only has 26 total minis instead of the usual 32. And that means a full case has only 104 total miniatures instead of the usual 128. It’s possible that a case no longer is likely to get you a full core set.
How do you get the moonstone and topaz wyrmlings?
Topaz is from a WizKids booth at a convention and moonstone acquisition method hasn’t been decided by WizKids so it’s currently only available via the Collector’s Box.
@@TheGallantGoblin thanks for the reply. I'm attending gencon this August so perhaps I can get a topaz set there!

Noticed I have watched 11 unboxings of this set and 10....all got the same 2 Super Large creatures. What happens if I buy a case...gonna get 4 of each of the exact same 2? Think the common Super Large creatures are wayyyyyyyyy more common then the others....sucks.
you missed out the hollow dragon when it's present in your lineup
There’s a separate video for it since it’s not part of the regular set. -Theo
Let’s go ⭐️
Any chance you could let us know what the background music you used was for the comparison and whole set on dwarven forge - it’s incredible and I need to add it to my playlists :D
We use royalty-free music from storyblocks.com, so I'm not sure if it's readily available elsewhere. There were two songs used (it transitions from the first to the second at 31:07). The first track is called "Fun Charger" by leadsquid ( www.storyblocks.com/audio/stock/fun-charger-346914701.html ) and the second track is called "Inspirational Synergy" by Jon Presstone ( www.storyblocks.com/audio/stock/inspirational-synergy-bicgk16clkc6hih5f.html )

Where can I get the Crystal, Topaz, and Moondragon wyrmling promo minis????? I can’t find them any where.
We go over where to find each of them in this video. :-) th-cam.com/video/w6MpGPEtXUY/w-d-xo.html
oof! Those pre-painted minis look pretty rough. I wonder how they look after being stripped and repainted?
Do you need a super booster to get the huge rare's? Or can you still get those minis from regular boosters? thanks
The "Huge Boosters" just contain the non-rare huge minis. The eight rare huge minis come only in the Super Boosters. -Theo
...may I have the recipe for that perfect curry?)
Yes! It’s in the pinned comment at the top here! I altered it just a bit! -T

@@TheGallantGoblin $787.49 dude that price. just beyond resonable
So, buying a case of this series will still get me one of every mini, right? These extra boosters are confusing.
Southern? I'm in Kentucky. What about you?
Born and raised in Georgia. :-) -T
Where can u order the complete set or do you have to get individually ?

Whole. Stupid autocorrect
Can't edit from my phone. So annoying.
wow rip price
fizban real name is bahumat apparently He was not acutally featured in greyhawk but was instead featured in greyhawk.
You mean Krynn, I assume? ;) Fizban is just the alias he uses in Krynn where he is known as the god Paladine. He and Takhisis were always assumed to be different versions of Bahamut and Tiamat, but this was only confirmed in 5E D&D.
@@commanderbbshockwave8698 Ya I meant krynn heheh.
They have a monopoly on anything Dungeons and dragons and have produced no real political systems for rp purposes. Forgotten realms consist of a lot more area then the miniscule sword coast. I have the 2nd edition campaign system for forgotten realms, the space they are covering would barely be a pin prick of space on those maps. They should never ever have gotten control of dungeons and dragons.

The golem, mimics, and a few others are cool but damn there's soo much crap in this set. I'll pass. Thank you for the nice review, as always.
